Alex... that was an absolute pleasure to watch. Your attention to detail and modelling tips are very well presented. Please keep up the good work.
thanks:)
Great build and video Alex, thanks for sharing.
Looks great. I like the Airfix kits. Have not had any real problems with one yet
Learned a lot from that video...thank you. Nice job too, love those 'Tiffys'.
Beautiful build, Alex, and that post shading tip is awesome!!!
+Colonel Reb's Scale Models you guys teach me here almost i know... this time without AB made me improvise a bit... i think its not a bad tip at all :)
Wow...you can polish a turd after all! Nice Alex, this was a brutal kit.
HG Barnes Thank you! :)
I built this kit last year & it was a beaut - well engineered, parts fit was great, only a small amount of filler needed on the chin radiator housing (probably my fault, on balance), nothing brutal about it. Maybe you were unlucky & got a bad copy - why not try another one? They're cheap enough.
@@ianhutchinson9330 I just bought this kit, too, Ian, and it looks gorgeous. Did you detail the aircraft with the Eduard detail set that Alex used back then? Got any pics of the finished model, or tips, comments?
That instrument panel really looks great😀
another great job Alex, you certainly do justice to a 1/72 scale. its one of my favourite planes. great work again.
+Daryl Smith thanks Daryl
THAT my dear modeling friend is a BEAUTIFUL build! Somebody's MOJO was shining on this one. Great idea using the Tamiya weathering kit color "soot" for post shading. I have never seen anyone do that and it looks great. Another technique of your's that I'm going to put in my pocket. Thanks for sharing. God bless you and your family.
God bless my friend! thanks for watching!
Nice detail for such a small build, top notch!
+André de Zwart thanks André
Great job, my friend! I just finished the cockpit of my spitfire Mk Vb. All done with a hand brush. I got the inspiration from you. Thank you very much! God Bless.
+bpezzano1 have you posted a video?
+AlexModeling . No, my friend. At this time, I'm working on my kitchen table. And, I don't have the space. Yet. ;-)
it's a great work Alex. Nice camo and the detailings are superbs.
+Jose Daniel Masster_Ozymandias Gracias conpañero!
Awesome stuff! Especially for it being a 1/72 kit.
The Eduard PE set helps a lot! and the kit is great also Thanks! :)
...Nice Job on that Typhoon Alex.!
great! I tell myself that I'm going to have an early night and then notice there is an Alex video. looks great Alex. nice to see the airbrush back out. keep up the good work.
+UKscalemodeller hello Ian how are you and family? I was testing my AB and having fun... just practising.. AB its not like riding a bike!:) thanks for watching!
Well done! With add-ons by Eduard Typhoon it looks very good. Wonderful mate!
+Marian MM70 thanks Marian! :)
Classic Alex vid. Nice work mate. Very entertaining
just practicing with the AB... and was here that i found that i needed one:) thanks.. just having fun mate
Very well done. 👍👍
I know it’s a hard choice to put that much detail into 1/72. I’ve never worked with Airfix until recently. I’ve always heard they weren’t all that great, but what they are producing now is really quite impressive for 1/72 scale.
Again....well done. Thanks for sharing your work.
An excellent result, Alex. I like the use of soot to enhance panel lines.
+Paul Kilner I think i should share this tip with you guys... after all modeling is all about sharing! I learn almost everything i know with you guys here the least i can do is to share the little that i know! Thanks Paul
awesome work! that rudder Pedal killed me!
me too! and they are two!!:);)
Very nice job, Alex! That fiddly PE stuff would kill me, but you really made it! :)
+Non-Prolific 1/35th Scale Model Builder with a bit of luck also.. thanks
That is superb work
Amazing work... :-)
Fantastic job Alex!!
+rsaturn9 thanks:) had a lot of fun on this one:)
Great job Alex :) A very very cool bird!
+Felis Barcinonensis Thanks:)
came out very well Alex
i was in doit if on the front th typhoon had top engine maintence open panels or side panel... turns out its side... i should have covered the top better... thanks
Nice build!
Lovely job, Alex...that PE set enhanced it nicely! Cheers, Martin : )
Martin is so nice to see you! how are you and your wife my friend? thank you for watching it!
AlexModeling

International British Modeler yes Martin were ok! Some small worries like every day thanks... nice to see you! I miss your videos
AlexModeling
I miss making videos and building models! I'll be glad when the house is finished and I can begin working on my man-cave! Cheers : )
International British Modeler I wish you all the best untill then and good luck with work on the house and man cave:)
Beautiful job!
+sorichar thanks:)
always liked the typhoon. the photo etch really wakes it up. nice work
i hesitate on the front of the plane... didn t knew if i should cover the seam line in front of the cockpit or leave it because the engine acess... couldn t see online if the panels opened like the spit on top or not so... but i had a lot of fun on this one!
+AlexModeling pictures I found show two side panels and one solid top. could have been changed on different models though
+Benny Gilardi if its like that probably i should have covered it up... looks like a tall plane.. i noticed the size of the propeler even at 1 72
+Benny Gilardi if its like that probably i should have covered it up... looks like a tall plane.. i noticed the size of the propeler even at 1 72
+AlexModeling she appears to be. the intake is about 6' off the ground
Nice build Alex :)
+ModArt633 thanks:)

wuau, a new david damek in 1/72 jajaja.really accurate job!
+musete10 thank you. But Dameks i comsider him a pro. Im not. Thank you
I bought this kit last week with the same PE set. Nice build, it'll be better than mine!
i would like yours to be better thn mine... go ahead :) and do a video of it!
Superb!
+Jack Armstrong III thanks Jack!;)
look's good
+rhp 1820 not the best but i had a lot of fun.. thanks
Question, at 19:48 how did you cut the roundel decal to fit so nicely around the exposed access panel? I've ruined a couple sets of decals now trying to figure this out.
U deserve more subs
Grape Mental Thank you! Believe it or not i was overpassed (sorry my english) by other modeling channels and i don t mind... what i miss more is those times when i only had 50 or 500 subs... i think i have those subs and its because i have to have exactly these.. but thanks!
Some of you guys produce models so fast, it makes me wonder, if you are really human ;) Awesome work, if it would not be in the title, I would thought its 1:48 :)
+SlovakianLynx I was in a sick leave.. had a lot of time to myself:)
AlexModeling
Ahh that explains it :)
nice job Alex...i wait the time build my 1,24 scale .....!!
+NIKOLAS LAGOS try it! Do it!;)
Just finishing up this kit (my first in many years) And this vid has really helped me with lots of tips and techniques so much so that the finished model surpassed all my expectations, (not nearly as good as yours obviously). Thanks for posting this along with all the tutorial vids.
DubVinC my pleasure! im very glad thi video helped you! :)
pretty :D
thanks
It's FIVE years on, and I've just bought this kit. Amazing detail and accuracy for the price.
I can't find any Eduard detail kits any longer. Boohoo. Has anyone got any information on them?
your welcome.
Bom trabalho! Para quando um vídeo de um avião com a cores portuguesas e falado em português?
Great model! Can I ask what that tube of filler is called?
its Vallejo plastic putty with aplicator:)
I have a question is there going to be a full video build of the 1/32 scale F-104 S Starfighter?
+Gahlok12 yes... i moved home while i was building it! I actually kept all the videos of it... my girl (who gave the kit to me) told me last week... "when are you going to finish it"? So... yes.. :)
+AlexModeling oh okay
that intro with the eye reminded me of the Gameboy Micro ads.
dont know it:)
AlexModeling They were weird trust me the US ones I have seen them.
Thanks, great video. You made a wash by mixing Winton paint and spirits and applied it near the end. Can this wash mixture be applied straight onto acrylic paint? Thanks
+S A No... seal it first with a clear varnish.. clear.. ok?
AlexModeling thanks very much for your reply
+S A my pleasure.. and keep modeling!!:) always.. with a smile 😂😂
o photoetch veio junto com o kit ou vc adquiriu a parte?
Ola Roberto. adquiri a parte. para ser franco eu nem lembrei que ele existia::) quando abri a caixa e o vi ate pensei... que bem! :)
You're supposed to fold the chair from PE as well, this doesn't fit at all with the plastic chair!
👍👍🇨🇦
Is this the new tooling from airfix?
+Model Minutes yes it is! The gun bay doesn t have a single photo etched part... its detail is superb
I'll have to see about buying one - i remember the old tooling was pretty sparse in its detail
Onde é que compras os modelos?
Marsigor. Ou BigCat
i found some of the decals terrible in the kit, mainly the invasion stripes that did not stick so i just threw them away and painted the stripes on
E um brasileiro deu para ver na garrafa de álcool tava escrito Não beber kkkk
LukasZ Sou Portuga companheiro!
Portugâââl!?!
It looks like a typical AIRFIX Kit, with gaps as big as the Grand Canyon, lots of flash. For the amount of time they have been producing kits you would think they would be doing it a bit better by now. But then again you get what you pay for I suppose. I would rather spend a few sheckles more and get better quality.
You petty prique. You're one of those brand snobs I detest, denigrating the pleasure that some manufacturers gave us decades ago, and to whom some of us are still very loyal.
Whilst not at the top level, of say, Tamiya or Eduard, Airfix's newer kits are pretty good, and very, very good value for money.
Just go away, with your negativity.
