    Well shoot.... I was really hoping to see the Kragg bayonet. The WW1 our boys used as well as the 03 Springfield when I originally seen all of them. Wanted to hear what you had to say. . I spent a hundred on a Kragg but not sure which year scabbard I have on it since they made like 6 of them from 1892 -1898

    THANK YOU ! I just spent 1 1/2 fruitless hours trying to ID what turned out to be a bayonet for the Japanese Arisaka ? rifle. Right down to the stamp of rings ! I just found the bayonet, scabbord and ?frog in a box of trash headed for the road ! Who Knew ? ? ? It's now destined for my limited WW2 collection !

    The 2nd M1 Garand blade is not a cut down or used as parts but it’s a blank which was never sharpened or put together in the factory. Still original and has the sheath along with it so is good and still valuable.

    I have one VERY similar to the first one you showed. I belive it's either. Russian bayonet or a romanian bayonet, would it be a good camping knife ? is it a good steel ?

    • @eddiecaplan1908
      @eddiecaplan1908 6 лет назад

      Ive had a few of the romanian bayonets, even when badly worn, they are easily resharpened, and id say the steel quality is very good, better than you would expect!

    I wander how many of these have been stuck through someone else’s chest.
    There cool and all don’t get me wrong but looking at these you kind of realize there only for one thing and one thing only lol

    • @KeepItBrick
      @KeepItBrick 4 года назад

      Whooaaa Chillout chances are none have been ‘stuck through somebody else’s chest’ bayonets were not just for senseless killing, they were also issue knives for the most part. Keep in mind the U.S. Army didn’t issue knives until the early 2000’s. With that In mind if they issue you a blade you will use it as a knife. I’ve seen photos of folks affixing them to a mess kit handle and using it to hold the mess kit above a fire.
