I am of the ideology that instead of having this many scrupulous private hospitals the government should do away with all of them and increase the number of public hospitals and the care that they offer in public hospitals that's the only way mwananchi can be protected and receive better health care
What? Those hospitals you stay in line for hours, if you go during lunch hours you don't get served

My sympathy with those who have lost lost their loved ones because of such actions.
This not new In 2008. I lost my mother at Aghakan Hospital Took her there with severe headaches and they could not admit before 60 000 shillings was deposited. It was at night so we had to wait till the following day and Immediately they took her in and diagnosed her with Meningitis. After one day she went in a comma and they kept her there for four weeks. She finally rested but I have a feeling she was dead for 3 weeks. They just put her on machine to keep getting money from us. Finally the bill was over 8 million. Managed to 5 million. They refused to release the body. Till the balance was paid. So I had to give them a title and have have never looked back. I even don't know whether they sold the plot or not, but was so bitter to see we still have gangsters in white robes and suites in our hospitals.
Sad to hear that. This is the situation across the country. Unlimited greed.

Sorry for your loss I lost my uncle too in that Aga Khan he drove himself complaining of a headache and we ended up with a huge bill for his body. To date, 13 years, never ever stepped to that place.

They scheduled me for a surgery there. I refused totally. Coptic was really good. They even followed me up with a refund a month later.

This is so true. Nairobi women's hospital delays patients and then transfer them to Nairobi after the bill is already too huge.
Not only nairobi women's most, if not all of the private hospitals. I have personally suffered in the hands of these hospitals when it comes to the hospital charges.
It is really painful.

I was admitted in Nairobi women's hospital rongai because of gender violence of which it was suppose to be free but I ended up paying ksh59, 000 reason being the gvrc dept didn't have funds so they told me to pay they will refund once they get the funds from gvrc. I tried to follow ths thing but they told me that they can't find the records. I still have the receipts and the discharge summary.
NAIROBI WOMEN HOSPITAL ROBB THEIR PATIENTS WITHOUT MERCY. When your spouse is admitted for delivery they force her to a CS for very flimsy reasons, then on top of their CS payment structure of 145k you’re slapped with a bill of over 200k! When you ask about everything they’re quick to dismiss your complaints. They should be revoked
People who are healthy should start looking into homebirth. We had 2 hospital births and 3 homebirths and you can't compare the peace,finances and dignity you get from hospital birth. The body of the mother remains healthy: no unnecessary surgery and medical procedures that damage the body and steals the 1st crucial start of baby's life as they end up suckling antibiotics and medications from mother's milk till she recovers. I don't trust doctors anymore.i trust only 1 doctor that I know very well.

Wait until they take you to German for radiology! The CT scan procedure is charged exorbitantly If it is abdominal and pelvic scan, you pay 15000 for abdominal and another 15000 for pelvic. They take people to be fools.
