I heard this once as a kid. I'm 27 and I just now found it again. I'm never letting this song slip from me ever again.
This band is really weird for me, almost all the songs I do not like at first and I'll just randomly come back to them and suddenly they just shine...
Love the ambulante rhythm of this song. Dragging its heavy heels through sonic space.
This was TV on the Radio at their blissful best. Adebimpe's plaintive voice is chilling.

A stunning masterpiece! This band is truly revolutionary, a bright shining star in a batch of regurgitation from previous decades. Everything about this song is so originally mixed, you have the dark pulsating beat, and the dark synths in the background, but you have this soulful singing over it that just takes it to another level. I wish TV on the Radio would do more of this, or I'll have to start expanding on this!
@ElasticMinds i know. such an unbelievably unique song. not to dis their new album, I respect their shift to happier music, but these darker tones feel so much deeper.
They were also amazing at the monolith festival! One of the best nights of my life!
I can't wait to see these guys at Bonnaroo this year. I wasn't going to go until I heard they were playing. They sold it for me.

yeah no kidding..I never really gave this song the attention it deserved...I can't stop listening to this one and Tonight.
Thats how I began to like all the music I like. Once music like this sticks with you, your stuck! Unlike music that usually hits you off perfectly the first listen, that usually fades with time. What turned me on to TVOTR was how different they were, which makes them better than 99 percent of the new bands out there in my books. Be different, screw what people think, maybe they will understand later. You cant succeed if you care about what people think when your trying to do something new.

Great song!!! So dark and gloomy, wonderfully put together and just fucking awesome!!! Bands and artist like TVOTR, Destroyer and We Were Promised Jetpacks are truly bringing good music back
If you can save yourself from the major sh*t, I'll save you everyday from the minor. I hear this song about someone at an extreme place, falling apart. If they can save themself from dying or completely losing it, they will be there, come back to them, be there everyday. At least that's how I see it.

Its so nice and relaxing, really slow, quite different from what I'm used to, but its still really nice.

TVOTR is electronic rock music done PERFECTLY. The electronics build the emotional underpinnings of the track and the vocals add the soul to the machine as you could put it. I wish people would stop lumping all electronic music as DOOF DOOF DOOF, as much as I love both House and Techno (which was all invented in the US and by Black people). People need to open up their minds and try new things, there is alot that hasnt been done yet musically, or explored. Contrary to what most people say.

I think it's basically agreeable that they are the most unique and original band in a very long time.
Nothing that has come before has sounded much like this.

@kowtpr187 Detroit Techno and Chicago House scenes were both defined heavily by black people in the early and mid 80s. Of course they were influenced by Kraftwerk, and various other acts such as Tangerine Dream and the like, and then theres joey beltram and frankie bones from the nyc ciricle. So yes in total there was more than black people, and i even forgot i even made this comment like...2 years ago, and im tired but yes electronic music is a melting pot of cultures and influences.
@Chainlinkable I agree it's not really relevant that they were invented by black people, but there were no blanket statements; it is true. Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson did more to further the genre than anyone since Ralf and Florian. More love, more peace.
