I am using a folding table as a desk and an old bedside table to store things. It's nice to see someone else who is down to earth and has a normal craft area!
Ok, you are the perfect person to let new crafters know that it's not all about having every new tool and paper stack, but how you use what you have!! My sister at one point had a much bigger craft room and more products than I did but I really came up with some great ideas and crafts with what I owned You are my go to girl for all of the treat boxes and other paper crafts and I really enjoy your videos. Now that we're empty nesters I have a whole craft room and it full of products I deserve every last one of them!! He He Lol 😂
Of course you deserve it all - we all do :) Glad you enjoyed seeing my space and you are right, you don't need to have every tool going - it would be nice though!
Well that was refreshing.I I was expecting one of those videos where the craft room is bigger that my entire house, containing every item in every color and size available. You really show that you can do so much without having to have everything in the catalog. You have such style and poise...truly an inspiration. Thank you for that.
This was a great video. You have shown a lot of self control and sensibility with your crafting purchases. I could learn from you! Nice job - I love the wallpaper in the background.
Hi Caroline - I wanted to let you know that I saw your craft room tour video yesterday and was quite impressed. I happened upon your blog on RUclips maybe a year ago and immediately subscribed! If I could create the projects you grace us with from any space, I would be a happy woman!! I think you are a very good teacher and appreciate the inspiration and knowledge you so willingly give us. Happy Crafting for many years to come.
Very nice. Thanks for the tour. My craft space use to be in my master bedroom. I have a big curve shaped desk with built on shelves and a couple of drawers and a large door on one side that has a shelf in it as well. So I had to be very creative and organized to store everything. I also made use of the top of my dresser for paper storage (hand made from recycled priority mail boxes). It worked for me for a very long time. Now I have the room downstairs, that use to be my mom's bedroom. It was originally a living room (my downstairs is what they call a Mother in Law suite, so there is a bedroom, bathroom and the living room) anyway, my daughter had the bedroom after my mom moved out to take care of her brother and when she decided she wanted to come back we made the living room into her bedroom and she had a door added for privacy. A while after she passed away, I turned it into my craft room. I wish there was a way to make the fireplace disappear, lol. Because it is taking up much needed wall space. But I did get my husband to put up a piece of peg board to hide the fireplace and that is where I store my Cricut mats and then we put a long fold up table in front of the hearth (it's about an inch too short to go over the fireplace hearth) but that table is for my cricut machines. I can't seem to part with my original expression & my expression 2, even though I have the explore. The room is mostly organized and I love having the space, but I would gladly go back to my little corner in my bedroom, to have my mom back.
The first thing I noticed on your desk was the desk caddy. I told myself when the video was over, I was going to check to see if you had a video for it. I was so happy when you said that one is coming up! I really enjoyed your tour. It just shows that you can be just as creative in a smaller area as you can in a huge room!
You have a great crafting space. I have a small space also, but not as neat as yours. You have inspired me to revamp my area. Thank you Caroline for sharing your projects and for being a great demonstrator and paper artist.
After stamping 17+ years, I have soon much stuff. I stopped buying most new stuff until I use up what I have. I donate quite a bit of stuff now too to a local grade school. I have an entire room and your space is much more tidy than mine. I enjoy watching your videos.
Your crafting area is absolutely lovely!!! You are so smart to limit what you buy. I need to pay more attention and limit myself as well.Beautiful area, and such a great message.
Caroline, what a great video. I too have a small space for all my "stuff" I've often said my hobby is not making cards/crafts it's collecting all the "stuff". Actually I do make cards and I'm in card club, 5 ladies meet every month to make cards and projects. Your video helped me to accept my small space, I have seen so many crafters with so much room and "stuff" it's truly incredible. Thanks so much for sharing!!! Liz from Texas, USA
Fantastic space Caroline. I have a small craft space too. I love how you have shown restraint and haven't bought every product stampin up has to offer. I will take a leaf out of your book and get rid of things I'm not using to have a tidier room.
Oh I love the way your craft space looks! I don't have a lot of space either so this gives me ideas. By the way, I can listen to you talk for hours on hours on hours! 😊
Thank you SO much for sharing!! Not that I dont love to dream when seeing those other videos.... but its just not reasonable. So thankful for this. Dont have to have it all to create and have fun!!
such organization for a small area!!! bless u! i have no room but stuff spread out n ur video helped me decide about my dies! they are taking up a whole drawer where they could go in a carton n i could use my drawer for my cardstock bc its out against a window with the blind closed taking up room on my desk!!
You could attach a sheet of metal to the wall to the left of where you sit . Put magnets on all of your ink pads and mount on that wall .You can also mount some of you tools there as well.
Why would anyone give you a thumbs down?? Anyway, what a lovely craft space! Thank you for sharing. I love your projects and I am looking forward to seeing your tutorial for the desk caddy :D
Your video is wonderful...you are way too humble! I love your ideas and furniture and how tidy you keep everything! My craft jumble is split between three rooms for now....I have an extra room that is full of stuff and will take some time to clean out and start all over again to create my own space away from the rest of the house! I have yet to go to Ikea but you have given me ideas of what to look for when I am ready to jump and have a real craft room....which will not be large but I hope to make it comfy and workable! TFS!
A great crafting area. Mine consists of a computer table that I "share" with my laptop, a chest of drawers that has my stamp sets in. A metal bathroom shelf unit beside it. The Ikea square storage boxes/bins would probably fit in it, but, because the nearest Ikea is an 8 hour, 600 mile round trip away, I bought 5 dark grey, "sparkly" kitchen basins from Aldi, that fit just perfectly!! for my punches and other bits and pieces. Thank you for sharing your space :o)
I love this! wish i was like you! im a hoarder! you are so neat and I love the fact that you show that you use what you have and you dont need much to be amazing! i wish i had a craft room! my stuff is taking over my bedroom...my hubby says he sleeps on stamps! lol
Caroline, your craft space is amazing! I only have a set of drawers next to the dining table at the moment. I have been looking at craft storage cabinets but they are so expensive compared with the items from Ikea that can be adapted! You have inspired me 👌 💕💕
You are so funny, "I thought I was being artsy and creative" lol The shelves do look cool. Maybe there is room for one more shelf below the bottom shelf? Love the tip (?) of putting stamps you just used at the end so you know the ones at the beginning haven't been used for awhile. Great system for those of us who want to keep using all our stamps.
Love your space! It's proof that you don't have to spend a fortune to have a beautiful & useful craft space. So pretty! Would you mind sharing where the wallpaper is from? TFS!
Your craft room is really neat, I love how you have the two upper shelves, that looks so handy .my craft area also was a closet at one time then converted into a nook where I have my desk and office chair. So I'm not alone because I dont have a massive work room like some but instead a humble space. Your lucky to have lots of nice drawer space & it appears every thing has its own place, and that's important Right?
What a nice cozy space. I should take some tips on being content with small space. My space is a little bigger, but I always seem to run out of room. I need to be more organized. I love your videos, and have made a few of your boxes. Please keep them coming. Susan Independent StampinUp demo from Aberdeen, Maryland USA
Thanks Susan - I think we always fill up the space we have don't we. My current kitchen is twice the size of the one in my old house and yet every cupboard is already full x x
I just wish my craft space was like yours, I have a craft room...only problem is I love all different crafts, I have cross stitch, crocheting, knitting jewellery making, all different sorts of paper craft such as parchment crafts, decoupage etc that's why I have to limit what I buy. But I love SU and their punches are first rate, also I have been able to give away a number of trimmers because SU trimmer is outstanding. So I mainly buy what I call the hard goods, trying very hard to use up the card and paper I have so that I can buy more lol lol lol thank you for being there for us

Oh well, maybe next year, right? Love, love, LOVE your videos and your projects are so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing. Always, Dot
Hi Dot - thanks for your lovely comment, even if it did have me blushing! Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, glad to hear you are feeling more like yourself again x x
Wow!!! I feel so messy looking at your tiny little space so neat and organized. I have 4 spaces just for my paper and it gets over run with scraps!!! I look at all of the craft space tours I can to get an idea of what I want to do with my room. I am in the process of converting my office into my stamping room but sadly it has gotten to be a bit of a dumping space for everything that the family has no place to a put it!!! When I watch these great craft room tours it really makes me want to get going on my room but the men in my house always seem to have other priorities and I am just not physically able to do it on my own. I may have to start going on strike. No craft room no dinner. Think I could get away with that? Thanks so much for sharing.
Super cute! You have shown me that I have about 75% too much of card stock :-) I certainly like your way better; keep it minimal and order only after you use up what you have. I love the wallpaper behind your desk and the shade of blue with the white furniture really looks nice with your beautiful wood floor. Thank you for the tour :-)
I'm watching this video, yet again, this is probably veiw No 27. I have rid myself of nearly everything that is not stampin up. My tiny space is almost as lovely as yours. Would love an update vlog.

Hi Caroline you have just made me feel very guilty. I started off in the smallest bedroom in the flat then the middle size bedroom and i am now about to move to the biggest bedroom with my crafts. If i did it for a business then i wouldn't feel so bad but its just for pleasure. Maybe I need another sort out, thank you for showing us around. This is one video hubby wont be seeing. I am using a folding table as a desk and an old bedside table to store things. It's nice to see someone else who is down to earth and has a normal craft area!
I think most of us have pretty normal crafting spaces - glad you enjoyed seeing mine x x

This was a great video. You have shown a lot of self control and sensibility with your crafting purchases. I could learn from you! Nice job - I love the wallpaper in the background.
Thanks Mary - I do struggle with self control sometimes! The wall paper has been very popular x x
I love your craft space! It’s nice to see one that is not so big because I don’t have much space either! Love your organizational ideas. Thank you!

Enjoyed this immensely Carolyn. I have a much larger craft room and feel it's not large enough.....you gave me inspiration to declutter!
Thanks Carol - hope you enjoyed the desk tidy video which I shared on Friday x x
Crafty Caroline i loved that project and will definitely be making it!
You have a great crafting space. I have a small space also, but not as neat as yours. You have inspired me to revamp my area. Thank you Caroline for sharing your projects and for being a great demonstrator and paper artist.

Thanks Liz - the response to this video has been great, so many people seem to have related to it
You have a very cute crafting nook! It obviously serves your purposes at the moment as your video projects prove! Very clever use of space.
Thanks Val - we can always dream of a bigger space but right now it works pretty well for me x x
Gosh how tidy Caroline. So nice to have a craft space that is just yours.
It isn't always quite that tidy!
Fantastic space Caroline. I have a small craft space too. I love how you have shown restraint and haven't bought every product stampin up has to offer. I will take a leaf out of your book and get rid of things I'm not using to have a tidier room.
Thanks Michele, glad you like my little haven. My restraint is being sorely tested at the moment x x
I love the wallpaper behind your desk. It looks like SU DSP. Super cute!
Thanks Denise - I love it, is called Little Trees by a company called Miss Print. I love that shade of teal.
Caroline, your craft room is awesome. You create beautiful projects from your space. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Sally - it may be small but it does me x x
I agree, your craft room serves you well. I am not a crafter. One day I will get there. You are indeed a great inspiration to many of us. Thanks.
Thanks for the great tour, you've given me lots of ideas for my new craft room
Love your clever and organised use of space Caroline. TFS

Thanks Audrey - kitchen basins are actually a really good idea. I think you're lucky living so far away from Ikea - it sucks you in!
Put a 5x7 magnet sheet in the stamp case that has matching dies. That way when you use the stamp set the dies are there with them.
I love this! wish i was like you! im a hoarder! you are so neat and I love the fact that you show that you use what you have and you dont need much to be amazing! i wish i had a craft room! my stuff is taking over my bedroom...my hubby says he sleeps on stamps! lol
Ha - laughing at your husband sleeping on stamps, my husband moans about little scraps of card stock getting everywhere!
Caroline, your craft space is amazing! I only have a set of drawers next to the dining table at the moment.
I have been looking at craft storage cabinets but they are so expensive compared with the items from Ikea that can be adapted!

Great video, I have been crafting for over 20 years and I have a ridiculous amount of stuff need to have a good clear out.

Thanks Michelle - a lady that spots champagne first is my type of lady x x

wow what a handy tidy space. I have turned bedroom into craft room and it's never as neat as yours

size doesn't matter love it
Great craft room Caroline, thank you for sharing. Mine is the dinning table and stuff all around!! :)
Thanks Shona x x I started off with a shoe box and the dining table.
Caroline, nice tour. I would suggest that you don't store your markers vertical. SU recommends horizontal so that ink is at both ends when needed.
Good place and beautiful to
Oh my goodness, where do you really keep all your craft stuff. I can't move in my craft room, its stacked from floor to ceiling!
LOL!
por fa si puedees traducilos al español porque son muy hermosas todas tus cajas y me gustaria hacerlas para regalar a la familia
What kind of markers do you use?
