Series S + Gamepass is the best value for money deal imo. It's crazy how much it offers for casual gamers Even leaving out gamepass, it's still pretty good. Rocking mine since 2022 and still going strong 💪
I like how this is a real review from an ordinary person, because other youtubers keep bashing on this console as like everyone can afford the series X and a 4k tv xd. I have a good gaming pc, but my friend can't afford series X yet so he is going to buy the series S to play Black Ops 6 together, which is pretty nice!
Your definitely right It took me months to save up for a 55inch tcl brand 4k qled TV with HDR10 and it was only $400 on sale last year This Christmas I'm buying my girlfriend the series s she's new to gaming
I mean there’s totally different kinds of gamers, casuals and more competitive gamers. Most people don’t realize they don’t need to play on 4K when 1440 120 fps is good

I just recently bought 2 Series S's after thinking I was going into PC gaming. Truth is while PC gaming is great for people who love sitting at a desk and paying full price for games, a Series S is better for me. Game Pass doesn't just offer "Free" games but deals on paid games, that are much better than Steam and Playstation deals. I love my two Series S's. I've tried 65in TV play and a 32in 1440p 120hz gaming, I prefer the 60hz gaming with a bigger screen since most games are 30/60fps. So yeah I love My Xbox Series S's.
mate, you do you. however i feel as if your argument doesn't make sense. lets just get the obvious out of the way: you can use an PC on a TV. as long you have the HDMI or DisplayPort wire with a HDMI adapter if necessary. hell, I'm using Linux, and yet there hasn't been much issue on that front specifically. You could use a wireless mouse and keyboard setup for clicking a few buttons here & there. There's also Steams big picture mode, now admittedly it's a little bit laggy on my end. but thats more my OS & aging Hardware. as for gamepass... I'm probably going to lose you here tbh. there's this thing called piracy. Realistically speaking as long as you do the research (or stick with fitpack girl & VPN), and are willing to do a quick virus scan on Malwarebytes. or worst case scenario-a full reset. you can't beat free. as for buying computer Hardware; fair enough...sort of. unless your going for native 4K-240 FPS. It is EXTREMELY unnecessary to spend no more than a thousand dollars for hopefully the next 10 to 20 years. There's also the fact that online PC gaming is free, whereas consoles need an online subscription to play with your friends. Calculating the numbers, 120 dollars a year. Maybe less if you do Microsoft Bing Rewards. it'll, over time. in a 10 year mark. be... incredibly expensive :-/ edit: oh, and emulation. thats also lovely.
Series S is a great console for the money, is a great console for a casual gamer. One thing I would recommend: don't keep it like that on a carpet - you are blocking the air intake so it can overheat. And it can get dusty inside a lot faster. Better put it on the desk / furniture!
@@itsjustques It doesn't matter how high or low it is. From my perspective, it's important to allow a good airflow that is not blocked by textiles and that it's as dust-free as possible.

But also … I run my emulators on it in dev mode , was playing disruptor and tenchu on retro arch … its good stuff
I only have Xbox Series S and use a 22" 1080p TV. If you just want to play video games, without fuss it is still a good machine. Bought it for less than £200, when on a deal price. Very good value for the money spent.

I’ve had a series s and funny enough I’m actually upgrading after 2 years to the series x because my series s has had a couple issues booting up consistently. Still works just decided to invest while the black Friday deals had it 50$
Love your channel! It got me to purchase one during the ps5 drought and got me through a lot of hard times when I had money but couldn’t do anything with it. I had a series s for 2 years and recently bought the new series x refresh and im ngl it feels like an entire different generation at times. Very often actually. Games like red read redemption running the one x version or even shooter games like apex and fortnite. The quality is just ridiculously good. The performance modes are the quality modes of series s and if you have a newer hmdi 2.1 tv like i do with features like motion enhancement you can literally manipulate the games to run 120fps even if in 30 fps. So imagine that on top of the 4k ray tracing quality modes. You're literally playing at 4k 120 fps! I've tested it side by side and "native 120fps" looks identical to motion enhancement. Not to go off topic but thats why being hyped over the ps5 pro is kind of foolish to me for that reason. You can argue it creates artifacts. But if you tone it down then youre still running any 30fps games at 4k 60 at least with no artifacts at all.
Definitely invest in a headset key word invest. A lot of people cheap out the headset the Xbox headset is pretty solid but something like the cheap turtle beach headsets can really suck with echoing and bad mic quality.
I have moved on from console gaming and both my PS 5 and series just sit. If the next gen is a true next gen unlike this one and MS has another series S type console I would get it. Perfect console to do the minimum and still a non expensive way to experience current gen games.

You are killing your console by placing its airflow intake on carpet. The obstruction means it is only pulling air from the upper side intake as the lower one is partially obscured by your rug. For better and optimal cooling your machine needs to draw in cold air from both vents. Remember also when you power down your console, do not unplug it because the cooling fan continues to run for a few minutes to take out hot air from the system via the circular black vent.
