You're the daughter of the mayor in a local town. A dragon has started terrorizing your town, demanding your hand in marriage. He's threatened to burn the city down around you, and to eat all of the livestock until you say yes. In retaliation you've decided to enlist some help from the local giant.

Alright. I admit. Asking the local giant to kill tye crazy dragon who's asking for my hand in marriage to stop terrorizing our town was a little hair-brained, but can you blame me? If that's how he chose to 'propose' how could I believe he wouldn't EAT me as soon as LOOK at me?
So I took a breath, and held my ground as the giant… opened… his door…
He was huge!! (What did I expect-) he was huge and- surprisingly friendly looking...?
His confusion about my presence was understandable, not many humans were brave (or foolish) enough to voluntarily visit a giant such as he. But what other choice did I have…?
His understanding of my not wanting to be picked up was reassuring, then again the human-eating topic was… a little uncomfy…
The topic change was much welcome.
Giving him trouble for the 'beautiful' comment helped my mood lighten a little, I was glad he was an amiable fellow.
He was cute for a giant.
As the conversation turned to why I had come here, and his calling me princess flustered me, (greatly-) I was finally brave enough to explain my… sudden visit.
"Is he destroying buildings for fun or did you guys do something to anger him?" He asked and I huffed, immediately frustrated with the dragon as I went on, which only hid my own wariness of the situation.
"We didn't bother him at all, he's demanding I marry him."
I said, explaining further what he's doing to my town so long as I refuse.
As the conversation turned again, and the giant explains a bit about the dragon, even weaving in some humor here and there, probably for my benefit- because, let's be honest, I have NO poker face, I began to relax a little, thinking that maybe, just maybe, things would all turn out ok.
"So what do you want me to do, exactly..?" He asked and I explained, tentatively that I… wanted him to kill the dragon…
It made sense that he rejected the offer of the livestock in return for such a favor, seeing as the dragon _had_ been eating them… "then what about gold…?" I asked, a little more unsure now. His further refusal of that made me nervous, what could I do??
He was kind of my only hope right now, seeing as my town wasn't big enough to warrent the king of this land to send his knights to dispatch the scaly fiend…
"W-well then what *would* you want…?" I asked, finding myself slightly surprised that he would prefer clothes in exchange, though it did make sense… he didn't exactly have the luxury of what I knew as normal amenities.
When he refused the fine thread and luxurious fabrics I resisted the temptation to protest, reminding myself that the assumption of beings like him I had in my head was largely false. But seeing him contemplating the offer of two shirts, two pairs of pants, and two pairs of undergarments was highly encouraging.
The added protection was… intriguing, and the caveat was interesting. Who'd have thought, a lonely giant.
A dead dragon and continued protection, in exchange for clothes and company…?
Well that was far more appealing than being forced to marry an entitled dragon
"Ok, now that we're a little closer, how are we going to seal this deal?" He asked, and I thought a moment before suggesting, "What about a kiss?" To which he laughed and replied "Princess, if I tried to kiss you I might accidentally swallow you."
I simply shook my head and grinned wryly at his chuckle and said "Well I'll kiss you then." A small smirk on my face now.
I placed a small kiss on his proffered cheek, smiling gratefully at his promise of killing the dragon and nodding at his saying to be ready to bring the clothes.
"I'll be ready.. thank you."
I said, smiling slightly and waving in gratitude as I turned to leave.
this was so cute!! The giant being so understanding despite being slightly miffed at the listeners slight presumptuousness, the banter between them, and the general vibe of the giant himself! He seems cozy =w=
Not to mention sweet! It also makes a lot of sense that giants wouldn't have much access to things like medicine or clothes, especially not in the world of man where they truly don't fit, size wise.
But yeah! I loved it!! And I am so excited for more spooky month audios!!
