It might be friendship vibes/pride. I saw Aisling mention Celia once, possibly on a talk show or Rob Brydon’s RUclips channel. She said they met at a comedy festival and have been good friends since.
I can believe they'd be friends they're both very bubbly but when I saw they were both going to be on together I thought it'd get too much as they both have motor mouths but thankfully Celia was actually quiet for once, probably to make way for Aisling, which I was glad about, Celia is funny but she can get a bit much at times, too hypo and annoying. Whereas Aisling knows how to give you just enough of herself without getting too grating.
She fitted right in with this crowd, Ive often thought if she didnt have the accent she could easily pass for an Australian. Its a shame she isnt down here more often shed be a great regular fixture on this show.

Love Aisling. She's great in 8 out of 10 dogs does Countdown, her comedy specials and her intervuews- great one where she's a guest with John Malkovich.
This is actually very funny!!! I am shocked channel 10 has actually started to give a platform to Aussie comedians who are actually funny (and welcome guest Aisling). Who is this Sam fella? His timing is great!!
Her agent or manager booking her on that show deserves a pay rise/bonus. And the people on that show who invited her on, heck they get a pay rise to. Prizes all round
I was addicted to HYBPA when I sent a glorious three weeks working in Melbourne. Shame about all the tedious ad breaks but the show itself.. comedy gold.
I don't really understand the joke after Aisling was reminded about her daughter is watching (around 6:31), can somebody please explain. I want to laugh also !!, It sounds funny. BTW love this quiz and also Aisling !!!
She made a joke that she had a “bedroom gymnastics“ move named after her. The host tried to embarrass her by saying her daughter was watching, to which she responded “that’s how she got made”,
@@abonham82thanks for the explanation. May I ask another question please, did Celia said almost the same thing at the same time, that is why they high five ?
Is this a TV remake of the UK radio show? I wanna watch it anyway. Is it on in the UK or Ireland? I like a lot of Australian comedy. That Sam guy wrecks.
I think she was being sarcastic. She knew what she was wearing etc. and mocked herself through the show. She's a very witty person and her humor is funny. I'm sure that they wouldn't post this if it was going to cause an issue.
Your comment doesn't make sense in two ways. 1.) You haven't pointed out or timestamped where anyone said she was from the UK, so it just looks like you are disagreeing with something isn't there 2.) By stating that 'she's no more of a UK comedian than the other four are Kiwi/Aussie comedians' you are, yourself, referring to her as British - since they are clearly Kiwi/Aussie comedians.
@krashd Point 1. It was a correction of another comment that has since been removed. Point 2. They can't be a KIWI /AUSSIE comic. They are separate nations. They are one or the other. But not both. You lump an irish person in with the UK it is considered an insult by Irish people, and you will be corrected. Admittrdly, it is not an intentional insult in most cases. But an insult non the less. As for the other 4 nobodies, I'd be less concerned about their nationality description and more concerned about their description as comedians.
@@PatrickHarte-t3b So are you saying that you, as an Irish person, feel offended? Or that you are imagining what you think an Irish person might think and are having a response to what you imagined?
@Tao_Tology A little irritated more than offended. Irish people don't appreciate being lumped in with British people. Certainly those from the Republic. Just flagging the misclassification. If you don't point it out to people, they will definitely continue to misclassify irish people. If you do, then they might just correct themselves next Canadians don't like being called Americans, New Zealanders will correct you if you call them aussies. Its the same across the world. Britain's shameful history in Ireland makes our reaction particularly potent.
Mmm, she's a well known Irish comic who's been a mainstay of UK comedy panel shows for several years, co-starred in a Netflix series with Paul Rudd and played the mum in a recent incarnation of the Home Alone films. Why are you so special?
@@johnnyonline wow, someone got they knickers in a twist. Thanks for the reply, but im not sure why you did if you thought it was worthy of the snarky comment at the end.
