Happy Birthday! 🎂 That’s a lovely pen and the ink is a perfect match. Reminds me of Celadon porcelain. I bought myself a pen for my birthday too! Mine just came in yesterday.
Happy Birthday!🎉 Looks like you got the perfect gift.😊 I fell in love with that Sailor pen from your description. I wonder if it reminiscent of the the TWSBI from a few years ago? I can't remember the name but it reminds me of the old jade glass jars my mom used to put flowers in. The jars were her moms and so probably from 30's. I too have a slim the yellow Line Friends that I swear is larger in girth than all my other slims but when I compare they are indeed the same. Strange how a color can do that! Well enjoy your new things. Happy writing!🎉
Uranium glass…though it is often called vaseline. I have a few pieces my mom picked up at flea markets, for peanuts, pre internet days when people didn’t know what they had and there were still a lot of treasures to be found at low low prices.
Happy belated birthday! This is such a lovely, happy video; thank you for sharing your unboxing experience. What a great special occasion tradition you've started! :) Your excitement was infectious, and I found myself looking for this pen, wondering if maybe I "needed" it as well. Alas, I'm approaching a self-imposed no-buy period because my stationery treats have gotten a bit out of hand. I am a recent subscriber of your channel, and I am so glad to have discovered you. I hope you continue to enjoy your beautiful new pen, stamp, and ink, and I look forward to catching up on your backlog of cosy videos!
Really beautiful pen and ink. And I love the stamp! And you are right about the pen colour matching that vintage glass. I have a treasured tea milk pitcher and sugar bowl with a tiny raised bump texture. It was my gramma's and her mother's before that. It is exactly that colour!
That milky light green color just screams Sailor to me. Recently I determined what my pen is, and it's the Pro Gear . Nothing but Pro Gears from now on. Only need two more, a fine and a zoom. Your fully justified excitement is contagious! That's a nice ink, too, but I absolutely cannot buy ANY more ink till I use up a bottle, then, one out, one in.
Happy birthday 🥳 Wish you good health & lots of happiness this year. What a awesome birthday gift, TFS. That's one of my fave colors of that series. Great choice!
That is a gorgeous pen! I have to put off my birthday order in order to fix a check engine light on my car lol. Mine's gonna be a pencil case and one of the Traveler's brass pencils.
What a perfect combo! I snagged the stamp as soon as I got the Yoseka newsletter but now that you said the pen reminds you of uranium glass…ohhh man. I have a small collection of pieces. And that ink would also make the perfect pairing with the Benu Talisman Bodhi pen that I just added to my collection. 😄 Thank you for sharing! Happy Birthday, Alicia! 💗
I just bought that very pen myself! I couldn't resist. You are way better at stamping than I am. I'll always have a smear or a blank spot. And furthermore, I'll never get over your beautiful handwriting! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!
Happy Birthday!! 🎉 The glass you’re thinking of is probably Uranium glass 😁. I also had to get this pen since it looks like “louched” absinthe, a favorite drink of mine.
What a splendid birthday present! Bless your new year, and your use of these gifts. I'm particularly taken by the green shading brown-ish of the ink. I'm not all that into stamps, but yours is delightful. Do you have a chop? I could wish to . . . .
That is one lovely pairing of pen and ink. The pen reminds me of "Jadeite" glass, which I believe was originally popular during the 1920's and 1930's, and went out of production for years. Then Martha Stewart revived it! Now I have to find out if anyone else has that Sailor. And it's not even my birthday. (Happy Birthday, Alicia!)
Sailor nibs blow me away. BTW, I'm staring at a stack of Midori A5s, which I've thoroughly enjoyed journaling in over the last two years. Recently, though, I've been feeling the urge to branch out into a different format and you have inspired me to give the Midori B6 Slim a try. I think the smaller format might be challenging for me as I tend to write in the large, but when I see others who have seemingly mastered the art of smaller hand writting, such as yourself, it encourages me to try. Wish me well lol. Love your content always. Who knows, I might, one day, take up knitting 😹.
I got that same stamp! So perfect for us pen and ink nerds! Still haven't pulled the trigger for a Sailor, as I am not a fan of finer nibs and also because they keep coming out with new pens, making it so hard to choose if your budget only allows for one! I think Martha Stewart would love that Sailor because of her jadite collection!
Happy Birthday! I was looking at that pen. I have the Sound of Rain series Spring Rain and the body colour looks kinda similar? I'm not sure! It is lovely with those finials though. Congrats!
Oh I bet they are similar! I had really wanted the spring rain one but when it came out I didn’t have the money. I was definitely excited to see this similar color! I really love the finial color on this one!
Alles Gute zum Geburtstag! I'm not sure what you meant by a material that glowed the same color as the new pen under a black light. The color of the pen reminds me of iridium, which has a low radiation output, and was used on watch hands to cause them to glow in the dark. I don't know if it is still used that way; iridium caused cancer in some watchmakers who ingested it. Regarding the stamp you got; Is the fox at the top getting ready to jump over the lazy dog below? Even though I'm not interested in the subject of some of your videos, I ALWAYS enjoy your enthusiasm.
The type of glass you mentionned is uranium glass. Actually, that did contain uranium, and so it was radioactive. Actually my first association too. But the colour isn't quite uranium green. It is more similar to the colour that was used on old watches or emergecy exit indicators or in airplane cockpits to glow in the dark. As far as i know a radium based effect in use into the 1960's or so. Great colour. I hope, not radioactive though.
@@adventuredenali l would not want a radioactive Pen. But, it could also have been inspired by jade (stone). I did get a used Pelikan M200 with a M steel nib today though, and inked it up right after rinsing it clear. My first piston filler in over 30 years of fountain pen use,and my most expensive fountain pen ever, in grey-blue. Inked with Olive Green by Graf von Faber-Castell. Great! So I can understand your joy.... Happy Birthday to you, please forgive me for not sending all the good wishes to you in my last comment.
Happy birthday. Very interesting stamp. And that ink is something else. Everything, the pen, the ink reminds me of pistachios, and an Indian ice cream called kulfi.
Happy birthday 🎉
Thank you!
Happy Birthday! 🎂

I bought myself a pen for my birthday too! Mine just came in yesterday.
oh no I wish I hadnt seen this video! That ink is screaming to me. Happy birthday Alicia!!!
What a beautiful color of ink! Excellent choices! Happy Belated Birthday!
Vaseline glass! It also reminds me of a milky Jade or Celadon🥰 Also thank you for reminding me about this stamp! Happy Birthday, Alicia🎂💖

I’d definitely be curious to hear how your experimentation goes with the B6 slim size! I Hope you have fun either way. Also, knitting - why not? 😂

Thank you!
The pen color makes me dream of honeydew, Happy Birthday!! 🎂
Ooh honeydew! Yes! Thank you :)
Happy birthday! You are the sommelier of inks! Is it wet and lubricated? Some of the sailor watercolor like inks are so dry.

Thank you Andrew! :D
Happy bithday, birthday presents to oneself often are the best presents, arent they?

Vaseline glass? Lovely pen!
Uranium glass maybe? It does remind me of those little translucent vaseline jars though :)
Thank you! Vaseline is what it sometimes is called, Uranium is the name though as it had uranium in it!
Happy birthday! Lovely little unboxing. You know how to write hiragana... are you learning Japanese?
Thank you! I learned a few years ago and only recently thought I should try to remember some of what I learned!

Thank you!
Happy birthday Alicia. I flushed out a fountain pen once. At this rate I’m due again in 2029.
Haha that’s great! 😂
Although I wish you happy birthday, I’m secretly hoping that new ring suggests you and bryon are engaged 😊
Aww haha! Alas, no, not so. That was a gift from my mom.
