What a lovely video. So that's Charlotte! In the 90s I worked for GlaxoWelcome (as was) at a huge research facility in Greenford, west London. I discovered in the bowels of this vast establishment, a travel agency run by American Airlines. They had heaps of staff shuttling on the Gatwick - Charlotte route as they were or had just merged with SmithKline. It was rumoured American only kept that route open because of all the Glaxo traffic and I can well believe it. One exec I was friendly with went practically every other week and she wasn't alone in this.
Great video. I grew up near Charlotte. The city has experienced tremendous growth and change over the past 30-40 years. It is one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. One minor point...there is no "downtown" Charlotte. Charlotteans call that area "uptown."
just one thing i never understood fully, the 767 is from the 1980s i believe and its only been about 30+ years that theyr flying in AA, however the 727s lasted more than 40+ years with AA until they were retired in 2003, i flew on em all the time from SDQ to MIA i loved those birds and i also worked for AA. but the 727s r from the 1960s, y would they get rid of the 767s earlier? idk
Nice views of downtown Charlotte. And yes I call it "downtown." I'm a CLT native and nobody called it "uptown" until some pretentious yuppie branding campaign in the late 80s / early 90s.
Man, you sold the beautiful image of Charlotte the best way. I felt like I was there.

Beautiful tour of Charlotte!
Kool great change of equipment.
October 2017 I was working that gate D50. Thx for flying with us.
Thanks a lot for the tour in your home town. Looks really comfy there. Also CMS rocks! :)
Super bonus-tour!!! Thank you!
Thank you for a great video. I'm actually traveling to Charlotte this Christmas
Nice video.... enjoyed the flight and the tour!
Thanks for the great video. Nice job !
That is so amazing!! I hit, and leave a like button cause I enjoyed it.
11:19 Charlotte motor Speedway to your lower right corner, I'm surprised you never went to the NASCAR Hall of Fame
Tomorrow is Christmas. Merry Christmas SDMullis!!!
Great vid!
GREAT video!
I hate it, when the FAs "forget" to dimned the cabin lights on night takeoffs/landings! :-((
Awesome!
Happy Holidays, and Christmas Day is coming up!!!
Great flight reporting, but it would be interesting to also show a bit of the destination airport at the end of the trip.
That is true but there are tons of video clips of the Charlotte airport in many of my other videos. :)
Poor thing being relegated to the short-medium range domestic routes. That's a sign she'll be parted out soon.
Is American airlines retiring there 767-300s
yes, the 787s will be replacing them

@@hispaniolan9327 that means the routes to Zurich Budapest and Glasgow will be used by the 787
@@Brad366-f3s precisely
@@hispaniolan9327 oh yay and Prague
are you a miami hurricanes fan
I think US Airway used the 767-200 on that same route.
BEST WISHES
Is it me or did American forget to dim the lights more? It's nice to see contrails upon landing...but: the hard landing was not cool! lol
why are they using a long haul aircraft
What do you use for the map sequence at the beginning?

pilot came in way to fast should've power back a little that plane looked old inside plus to much wine noise
Ryan Belden are you a 767 pilot in real life??? Could you land it better??? Just curious...
All American cities look the same
