Excellent video! You're like me! I get there early enough to go through the TSA security in time enough to watch aircraft land but mainly takeoff before it is time for me to board my own flight! Then I have fun watching all of the other planes in front if us takeoff before we do. Then of course, I enjoy our own takeoff run down that runway! To me, that is the most exciting part of any flight. But landing is interesting too. It's just that I like to feel the energy and power of the plane before we are thrust into the air!
Honestly.. It was long and uncomfortable and exhausting. But, I learned from it. How not to book a flight. LOL I went to England from Los Angeles California round trip. I booked the flight with too short of a layover both ways, of course my flights were delayed and so it was stressful nearly missed our connecting flights, then, on the way back home, the first plane, an old Boeing 767 was so freezing cold like nearly unbearable, so bad that the man next to me who flies back and forth from England frequently was like, is it me or is it really cold. LOL Anyway, I was super excited to get on a nice airbus from Philly to CA, lots of leg room, entertainment, etc. I was so going to sleep. But then.. Unexpected turbulence for the entire flight some of which was terrible. So bad that the Pilot apologized for how horrible the flight was when we were getting ready for our decent. LOL So I was scared to death! Oh yeah forgot to mention We had terrible turbulence half way through the atlantic too. Like the kind where the plane drops really far. Crazy though. I wasn't as scared that time. Other than that, the red eye on the way to England, upon our decent was breathtaking. What a view.. The sunrise, billowy clouds.. Amazing. Love that part.
Wow! CLT has come a long way to now have a 767 to MIA. As someone who has to always connect in MIA, I have mixed feelings about not having the ERJ on that route anymore. I miss having that single seat to yourself, but I don't miss never getting your luggage because there's too much of it going to/from MIA. Also, I really enjoyed the tour of CLT after takeoff. Thanks for not cutting away. I kept pausing the video every so often and tried to pick out different spots. At 12:45, it looks like the Monroe bypass is taking shape. Also, where you said you can see the FL coastline, that looks like a beautiful view of the space center. I really enjoyed the video, and I always enjoy your video style of arriving to the airport and a little spotting before and after the flight.
Mark Rowsey I work for American Airlines in Miami and the reason for operating the B763 is due to connections with large cAArgo to destinations that operates grom LATIN AMERICA using 7673 continuing service to Charlotte and to other segments that we dont operate from MIA and vice versa. American is based on FPM( FREIGHT or CAARGO PER MILE). If theres no cargo then the segment gets CXLD due to high fuel prices and take off and landing fees. This is why the tray service in Buisness class was eliminated. The bill for catering was extremely high, so it was between full Buisness class service for 1:30 hr flight and rise the fares or eliminate the tray service and keep the costs down ? Management chose to keep costs down....
Nice video of your flight. Just a comment on AA...those pre-recorded announcements leave me with a "cold" feeling. I know they have their place. but they just seem impersonal. The live announcements made later on....much better.
The 767s CF6 engines at 8:45 kick some ass they are the powerful and wider variants of the 757s RB211. Great marriage of two American products lead to this master piece. Rest in peace 767 you will be missed
SD- I follow flights in CLT and have never known of any AA flights using 767, 777 or 787 in or out of CLT, only A330 for flights to Europe and sometimes Punta Cana. The only time heavies other than A330 are at CLT is charter flights. Back in August we had a VIrgin A340 come to CLT from Manchester carrying a soccer team for an exhibition game. The last scheduled flights with 767’s was US Airways and they were retired just after the AA merger.
You dont know why they dont serve a meal. Its a 90 min flight and American only does meal service if the flight is more than 2 hours. The other reason why it was a Boeing 767-30ER is because its going to go to Europe, South Africa, or South America after you get off the plane. They might as well make money bringing the plane to the airport its originating at for the international flight rather than ferry it there spending money on fuel and crew with no profit. I work for an airline so i know behind the scenes.
Don’t ya love that buzzsaw noise them turbofans make at mto thrust. Gotta keep that hand on them throttles until after V1 and after at least your moving fast enough to get airborne in case there’s a problem. I don’t mind the buzzsaw. I just don’t like the bang. 💥
er1073 its a 1 1/2 hour flight. What will you expect caviar? Filet mignon? DELTA and UNITED provides a sandwich or snack depending on the time of day....
CadetClark1996 Aviation MIA to ORLANDO is a 55 minute flight. You dont know what you are wriing about. They use or using a B7673 because 90% of Passengers connecting via MIA to ORLANDO are the BRAZILIANS from SAO PAULO BRAZIL night before together with cans of cargo which it can't be accommodated in a 737, 757 or A320. Once a day it operates a full turn around of 80% in main cabin and business class of BRAZILIAN passengers connecting via MIA to Sao Paulo Brazil including aprox 6 cans of LD8s of cAArgo connecting on to BELO HORIZONTE and MONTEVIDEO URUGUAY.
I wish AA flight crews would stop relying on those damn pre-recorded safety announcements--it isn't difficult for the FA's to take to the microphone and give the passengers a more intimate sounding experience
Jason Moors DELTA uses pre recorded safety announcements and NO BODY SAYS NOTHING ABOUT DELTA and UNITED ALSO AND BRITISH. Your comments are hypocritical since you dont know anything about the airline industry.
Most airlines do it that way. Hawaiian (on the inter island routes) has the flight attendants perform the safety demonstration. On mainland and international , they use the prerecorded announcements.
Why do everyone criticizes American so much ? Delta does the same thing American does, same aging aircraft and YOU ALSO have to pay for the WIFI. I dont understand....DELTA from ATL to MIA dont offer a tray meal service just a light snack. Same type of aircraft unless if its a narrow body 757 or 717 MD90s and no one criticizes DELTA......UNBELIEVABLE...
Know the difference from first class and coach? First class you can see the front of the engine & coach you can see the back of the engine 😂 that’s it folks. So is all that money really worth it? I THINK NOT FOLKS I PREFER COACH BABY!!!

so how did it go your flight?

Don't get a lot of 767's out of Charlotte. Especially to Miami!! Unless maybe it was heading internationally from there?
They’ve replaced them with 777-200 currently.
*_Very cool!_* ❤️😺👍🏽🐈
Engine sounds incredible!
I said the same thing myself Nicholas.I even put on my Bose headphones just to listen to that roaring sound of the engine.Amazing!
Nice video of your flight. Just a comment on AA...those pre-recorded announcements leave me with a "cold" feeling. I know they have their place. but they just seem impersonal. The live announcements made later on....much better.
Beautiful miami int'l airport, best airline, "American" nice flight from clt to mia.
That was splendid, if only AA's 767s were still flying!

This flight go onto South America? Odd for it to do runs all day to CLT.

lovely video :) !!!!
F*** love the CF6s on spool up
Nice flight.
What was the cruising altitude on this flight?
Great video but I have to ask is it really worth it to fly Business Class for a relatively short flight?
Y’all must’ve been running super behind cuz the pilot is on the throttle on n off
Nice video

Nick Chinn you answered my question on another post about using wide bodie aircrafts on short routes. Thank you.

Any reason AA would use a 767 from CLT to MIA
They use 767s for such short distances?
Nice video....did they offer ATC on any of the Channel's ??
I took a 757 200 to Lima, Peru from Dallas. Why would AA use such a big plane for short distance Charlotte to Miami?
R Graji they use an A330-200 in the winter months to fly PHL-MCO

wonder if any airline ever played Daniel Powter, Bad Day after landing just before the gate.
I've never been to a major airport, never flown commercial, hell, never seen an actual 767! Pitiful, huh?

Nice to see 3 Hercules 130 planes.cool.
I dont like the spinner on the engine but the sound is awesome
FlightFilms AA 767s have the oddest spinners
Great video. I don't understand 36R from CLT to MIA? I think you should have gotten more than what you got for the price a sandwich maybe?
same happened to me when i flew CLT-BOS on an A330, just some warm peanuts and drinks
er1073 its a 1 1/2 hour flight. What will you expect caviar? Filet mignon? DELTA and UNITED provides a sandwich or snack depending on the time of day....
