23’ PRO here and I would buy another one The truck is hands down the best driving experience for any in its class. Those concerned sayin it doesn’t do what it’s intended is Horse Puckey. Can’t wait to get the new Land Cruiser as well! Toyota 4 life!
I’m guessing they’re waiting like a lot of the big vehicle news channels to see if they can get the truck up and running first. I’m honestly hoping it happens soon since they’re near deadline for the big show.
Love the show and watch daily. However not a fan of the one take recorded /live on location. I would personally prefer uninterrupted cuts. Keep up the good work. Love you guys!
@TFLTruck Thanks! That would be great. I am (and certainly a lot of us) considering buying one in the next few years and will really appreciate your report and experience with it. Capabilities off road, how the manual shifter is, etc. And of course, everything usual, towing, drag racing, whole enchilada.
I think a lot of people are leaving the overlanding scene as prices have increased, fuel has increased and overall it is turning into a rich or wealthy mans activity. You guys get to buy vehicles like this beautiful tacoma but some of us can only dream.
i am a big dog person so overlanding camper kits would be difficult because alot of the ones that could be ideally sustainable for living with a dog is going to be quite pricey.
@kieransteelie I believe TFL mentioned somewhere that Toyota explicitly stated that these hybrids are for performance and NOT for fuel efficiency. This is definitely how it turned out for the Tundra.
Based on your many Tundra videos and having the past V8 Tundra myself, I’ve decided to buy the Hybrid Ltd TRD OFF ROAD at my local Midland Toyota Dealer, great dealership. Thanks Jim S
If you see TRD Off-road again, I want to know if it has ventilated seats and a HUD. I haven't been able to figure out if these will be offered on the OR grade (probably in a premium package), but I'm hoping so!
Exercise is truly necessary for a healthy life and a gift that you should give yourself each and every day. Keep those who would and do try to stand in your way of being active and healthy far from being able to influence this needed daily activity. Sadly, most people are too busy dying, to have the time and energy to live a healthy happy life.
@@nothingtoseaheardammit That particular Hummer, whether only that one, or representing the brand, left him stranded, twice. I may purchase a Lightning, but not a 9000 lb. paperweight. Correction? And I know he was not quite stranded twice, but still. Or maybe a Dodge Power Wagon, for the ranch.
I like that the canyon had a winch.... seriously no off road truck should be without one. Especially for where i live in Alaska where winches get extensive use every winter. I honestly don't understand how any of these manufacturers can design and build a truck for off-road and not have designed for a mandatory add on (the winch). It makes me think these engineers have never driven off the pavement.
Does anyone know how Toyota is planning to prevent frame rust on the new TNGA-F frames? I live in MN and the winter salt destroyed the frames in my ‘97 Tacoma and 2001 Sequoia. I know Toyota must have addressed this with the new frames and I would love to know the details. Thanks so much!
If they can get the price down by 10-15k as they get production ramped (year 2), it will sell like crazy. Test it with a 6-7k travel trailer! That's what I need to know;)
Andre, Street truck Q - After sitting in the different Taco models in Hawaii, is the new air pump seat in the TRD Pro more comfortable? Wondering if it would be a good daily seat with ventilation / heating option. Instead of buying the limited street version which isn't as beefy looking.
Oh boy….I can only imagine the technical bugs with that Earthroamer combined with the already buggy Hummer. Can you imagine being stuck out in the woods in that thing? Probably stuck in the mud due to weight.
That Hummer… 🤮 GM proving they are not worth spending money on. Ty Vole on the other hand, that guy is the real deal, and some serious innovation and mad genius went into that power wagon.
the Tacoma bros have been saying for decades that the open C channel frame and drum brakes were better for offroading. how do they justify the change now?
Would really be odd that Taco Bros would have been saying that since the Tacoma never had an open C Channel Frame. They have a hybrid frame which boxed in the front and C Channel under the bed.
@@Shakerhood69 call it what you want. The fact is the Taco bros said that the third gen truck was the ultimate offroader specifically because of its old rear drums and frame design, and now it's been changed. So how do they justify the changes now?
Meaning to say - the design switch from open c frame with leafs to fully boxed frame with coils. New Tacoma will also have a new leaf sprung rear axle.
Can we get a "History of TFL" podcast? How Roman started the channel and how you guys all met and your backgrounds?
Your name should be fbi 😂 nah that would be a good video, I’ve wondered the same back when Andre did the Russian accent more😂
Great idea! Please do TFL!
Yes!
Would be wicked!
I've been subscribed to TFL since Roman started
The best duo on TFL
Thank you for the kind comments.

I vote for you guys to get 3 tacomas!
That Taco looks amazing without that massive air dam
That Power-wagon is legit
Ty makes the nicest custom accessories on his power wagon.
Thank you 🙂
Ty Vole is very impressive. He’s appears to be a really smart guy. I’m very impressed by his craftsmanship.
Thank you 🙂
That RAM Power Wagon is something else. Wow!
This is a great episode friends, thank you so much.

Wow! That Ty Vole stuff is unreal
Dang, that Power Wagon is sick!
Great episode fellas. Ty Vole appears to be a mad (and wealthy) genius?

TRD OR, manual transmission, multi-terrain monitor. Can't wait.
Finally some Nissan love from TFL :)
Yayy Toyota talk Time with 2 of my favorite Boys 💪🏽🤌🏽😂💯.
I like the Power Wagon, Booyah TY VOLE. Booyah 👊🏽 😁 👍🏽 🇺🇸
Ty Vole is next level!
Thank you 🙂
That dude with the power wagon, is their anything he didn't think of? Looked to me like alot of thought, skill and money went into that outfit.
Thank you 🙂
TFL, please buy the TRD Off-road in a manual 😁
Yes.
You need to get Ty Vole on the podcast. He is a great guy and makes bad ass custom parts for his peoples Power Wagons.
Thank you 🙂
Awesome to see All Dogs Off-road being represented on here!!
It’s great that you guys found AllDogs Off-road! I have their koni lift kit on my 2018 Frontier.
Awesome walk through
I like the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Extacab as a slid in truck camper would work well, plus Toyota reliability on the trail is important 👌

That power wagon build tho! Dude says in his Russian accent "I do crazy." Roger that, comrade.
I wish tfl truck would go and check out Edison motors in Canada. They are making a hybrid semi truck

Forget that Tacoma - the RestoMod is where it is at !!

Thanks for the video. I did a stealth low budget build. Can't believe how much some of the builds are.

Awesome video!!! Super glad you were able to check it out. No more seat jackets needed? I'm glad you caught that video of the seats.
I'm in love with that Taco, except for the tires. Just needs some 35s or 37s.
37s ona. Mid size truck is ridiculous. 35s almost are. Way way too much compromise
Please buy the hybrid tacoma and test it! I really want to know of hybrid tacoma gets realistically better fuel economy than its competitors

Based on Roman's experience, a backup large SUV should follow Hummers.
Correction: it should follow that vehicle who undeservedly was given a name that it doesn't deserve.

That hummer just lost at least 100 miles on the highway! 😂
Pretty sure what they meant to say in the title is "off the chain'... 'Off the hook' has an entirely different meaning...
Thanks for the Tacoma coverage. I’m VERY ANNOYED that the Off-Road model is not being offered in XtraCab… 😡

The $825 performance mod came out from Ford for the Bronco Raptor 455 hp

I’m pretty sure that Hummer with solar cab cost more than my house did 24 years ago… I’m afraid to look. But it’s unique.
Hear me out; Toyota needs to build a true kickass, badass, offroader. A true Wrangler competitor, a true Raptor fighter, a true ZR2 Bison beater...

What are you hearing for MPG??
Haha I was wondering when you guys would spot @LastLineofDefense GTR!
base price has gone up so much in less than 10 years. remember the 3rd gen trd off road msrp around 36k.
These things will be 50k+ we need to discuss this truth on the channel
Does the HummerEV come with a free helicopter heavy lift when you run it out of power in the back country?
It would probably take 2 months for that solar roof to charge a Hummer EV.
And then the electronics would fail, and you would still be stranded...
I was there and they confirmed it would take 5-7 business days.
Lol, another conservative, snowflake, Gen Xer triggered by an EV.
Cool! Stopped the guy to talk to him real quick
According to Land Cruiser commenters that Vintage Gladiator will never last because it’s got a turbo.
