      I read somewhere that it depends on your age. Less than 50, reviews are more frequent. Over 50 , less reviews. As one gets closer to retirement age they decrease the frequency of reviews.

    If I could get Healthy again, I would gladly give up my benefits. My disabilities are enough that I got my approval the 1st time I applied. I never had to hire an attorney and I don't think I even listed all of my health problems.

      Hi, I got my disability in 2018 Major Depresion, Phycosis and anxiety, I'm your same age, I turn 54 in June! Im not sure I understood your comment! You talk about Grid Law, What is that? Also I wanted to ask you..have you gotten the form in the mail? I got mine yesterday and thank God is the short form which I'll take to my doctor so I make sure I don't make a mistake, I'm a little nervous but then again the questions are very simple questions. Would like to hear from you so you can explain a little better what you meant in your comment. Thank you.

    Crazy. So you are on disability legitimately and you’re at their mercy during review. If they decide you don’t qualify anymore, then you appeal and you still aren’t able to get on disability. At that point you are homeless and broke because of overpayment. So if you really can’t work, but somehow the SSA is convinced you can… you could be homeless, broke and unable to work. If that doesn’t sound like a bleak scenario. There isn’t any way they help people transition from being on disability and going back to work?

    • @bravefitchick7184
      @bravefitchick7184 Год назад +2

      Yes there is. It's called:
      1. vocational rehabilitation.
      #2. You can also apply for a 9 month "trial work period" . That Is where you basically experiment with whether you are able to go back to work or not *WITHOUT LOSING YOUR BENEFITS.*
      Because some people are able to go back to work but they just can't maintain it. The long hours wear on their health problems. I think they figure 9 months is long enough to see if it is sustainable. Typically if it's not sustainable doctors can figure it out in the 1st few months.

    There I know it’s been a few years since you made this video but I just found it. I currently have been receiving disability SSDI for two years. I just reread my form and I think I may be up for a review. It shows somewhere in the paper that you said to look at in 24 months but then it also stated between five and seven years, so I’m not really sure I was disabled with chronic fatigue, which is an incurable and actually I haven’t had any improvement, so are you saying that the best shot for me to continue benefits is only going to be able to be with medical proof meaning I’ve reached out to my doctor we’ve tried things and there is still no ongoing or treatment available that would improve my physical stamina the only actual medical intervention that they can offer is basically coping mechanisms, basicallybreathing exercises meditation SRI just to treat how I feel about having this disease but not actually anything that is going to prove my overall function. Is there anything else other than medical documentation that I should be doing considering there really isn’t anything else I could do to improve my review. Thank you so much. I hope this gets to you.

    I was approved for muscskeletal and migraines from an auto accident. been on SSDI for about 8yrs have had a couple cdrs. the neurologist I see is constantly putting me on different meds. ive tried most triptans and cgrps? . I an on an injectible med 1x monthly Ive reported the frequency and duration has lessened but I also had a failed cervical fusion so many HA are neck related. I report to doc that I still have 5+ migraines per month. I almost get sense the doc believes the meds should alleviate them all together. Now doc wants me to get cerviecal nerve ablation. I want to put my foot down as I dont trust this procedure\treatment. What or how would SSA regard this if I refused. Im in late 50's so not sure if there would be an impact but I dont meet full retirement until 67 so there may be another review or 2 in my future

I’m on long term disability, which working with Sedgwick to get it approved was beyond stressful, but a requirement to keep my long term disability is I have to apply for SSDI and send proof that I’m doing so every so often. My long term is mine until I’m 65, I’m 50 now.

    Hello, I am 58 years old and have been receiving SSI since 2018. My primary conditions are bipolar disorder and PTSD, but I also have cervical stenosis, ddd, disc herniations, arthritis and IBS. When Covid begin, and also because I went through a divorce, I switched providers to an all- inclusive senior program. They have their own insurance. I didn't have transportation and the new place has free services - but no pschiatric. I do see a counselor, but they don't have a pschiatrist. My PCP prescribed me Paxil and Buspar - previously I was on Lamotragine. I am trying to switch back to Medicaid and Medicare and get with a behavioral health clinic... My counselor doesn't help me - I am afraid that Social Security will think I stopped treatment when I go for reveiw... The senior program also doesn't have providers and I am having a hard time shopping, doing laundry etc. I have no family in the U.S. and can't afford a lawyer. What should I do?
