For all those, who don't have a sound(muted) when select 'slide' option, see if you have checked 'Use loop points' parameter in your 808 settings. It worked for me, when i uncheck this.

For people using a midi keyboard be sure to do the settings (mono and porta) before loading it onto the channel rack. i didnt do that and it fucked up bad and i was confused on how to fix it lol
Wouldn't making the 808 sound with a synth like 3xOSC or Sytrys avoid the whole "tuning" process? I would just make an ADSR envelope on a low pitch sine wave and set it to a high attack and a slow decay. Then maybe add a pitch envelope like you said many 808 includes. What are the advantages by making the 808 slides off of samples?

If you are trying to get slides with your sub bass you need to go onto the envelope and turn up the volume from there and the lower the volume a little in your mixer for the sub. The envelope volume effects the sound 10 times more than the mixer volume. If that doesn't effect it much you need to move the notes up an octive because your subs are in unhearable noise level. By putting them up an octive you are getting clearer waveforms in a pitch that can be heard. Overall, make sure your sub is tunes and turn up the volume in the envolope and down in the mixer

yikes, I didn't know "808" was so complex. I have a Roland 808.. my software looks like an industrial CAD program.. don't even use the midi or USB! I'm not familiar at all with what you are doing. My guitars are real, and over tracked. This is pretty cool!! I don't use computers. I wish someone could teach me.

I think your problem is that the notes are playing through each other. Right click on your 808 in the channel rack and make sure that "cut itself" is turned on

When I change Tue setting to slide I can click a note slide it but it won't kick again, I'll keep clicking a note before it finally kicks
