Hi Emily. It was wonderful to meet you during your island trip! I just saw your video, and it brought back some great memories of our time together. I wish we’d had more time to show you around and explore more of what our island has to offer. I'm glad we could share a bit of the market and the bus ride experience with you, and I hope you enjoyed the little taste of local life. If you ever find yourself back here, please let me know-I’d love to show you around more and make sure you see even more of the island’s beauty. Thank you for joining us for the church invitation. It was lovely to have you, even if just for a short time. I hope you have a fantastic rest of your journey! Regards Jess
It’s so great to hear from you! I’m so glad we’re able to meet and hope you are doing well. Likewise if you find yourself in the US please let me know ☺️
It's good that you get to see/witness the differences cultures and how each difference islanders' hospitality. Hope the Solomon islanders treaded you good.
I subscribed to your channel coz I'm from Solomon islands. You're most welcome to our islands. Solomon islanders are peaceful people. We have very diverse cultures and different languages. There are almost 80 languages in the solomons. Each tribe has their own language. The most common one is the pidgin, commonly used by locals to communicate
I used to speak pidgin as a kid living in Honiara in 1968-70. As there are so many local distinct languages. Went to St Johns school and them KG6. Laurie NZ. 😊
I feel bad for that taxi driver 😂. He's from the Maramasike region, at the southern end of Malaita. They speak variations of the "Are'are and Sa'a languages, with some local dialects even combining the two.
Poor man 😂 he doesn’t understand what the lady was asking regarding what dialect he speaks…anyway he’s not that bad still making conversation with her.
Sorry i think this guy who took you from airport didn't understand you..he said that he is from malaita and you asked him which language did he speak apart from pidgin English..it could be lau language, tobaita, kwaio, are are, sa'a language and so forth..just to clarify it..
