Hi, I'm in England. This is the only time I have seen this phenomenon since I experienced it personally on 1st April 1964. EAfter a perfectly normal spring weather for weeks, I awoke to 6 inches of snow, went to school, but it was a half day holiday. Afternoon off, went to a piece of wasteland where I encountered a mound of what is depicted in the video..... Except it was 4 feet high and 6 feet across and extended for some 60 yards! I could throw myself into it and rebound, there was absolutely no leakage or weeping whatsoever. I kicked some holes in it with my Welly boots, out poured crystal clear water.

To an 8 year old boy, as i was, it was a wondrous experience. I particularly enjoyed the wave effect when I threw myself into it and then watched the impact ripple travel up and down the entire length of the trapped water bank. As I say there was no leakage until I booted some holes through the turf wall, what kept such a huge volume of water trapped within the turf bank is a mystery.

Hi, I'm in England. This is the only time I have seen this phenomenon since I experienced it personally on 1st April 1964.
EAfter a perfectly normal spring weather for weeks, I awoke to 6 inches of snow, went to school, but it was a half day holiday. Afternoon off, went to a piece of wasteland where I encountered a mound of what is depicted in the video.....
Except it was 4 feet high and 6 feet across and extended for some 60 yards! I could throw myself into it and rebound, there was absolutely no leakage or weeping whatsoever.
I kicked some holes in it with my Welly boots, out poured crystal clear water.

@@thelaxsoviet5922 it was certainly a once in a lifetime phenomenon and I was in the right place at the right time under the right conditions. To an 8 year old boy, as i was, it was a wondrous experience. I particularly enjoyed the wave effect when I threw myself into it and then watched the impact ripple travel up and down the entire length of the trapped water bank. As I say there was no leakage until I booted some holes through the turf wall, what kept such a huge volume of water trapped within the turf bank is a mystery.
