According to Jain Physics & Metaphysics, the basic constituents of reality are souls (jivastikaay), matter (pudgalastikaay), motion (dharmastikaay), rest (adharmastikaay), space (akasartikaay), and time (kala). Space is understood to be infinite in all directions, but not all of space is inhabitable. The dawning of the reality that Jiva and pudgal are explicit is called samyak gyan (right knowledge). Firm belief in this knowledge is called samyak darshan (right belief) and conduct that will lead to complete self - realization is called samyak charitra (right conduct).
