Is there a reason you don't have gloves in the kit? Do you have a set elsewhere on your person or is it just an essential item? I've seen a variety of takes on glove/no glove so just wondering.
Not in my kit. Obviously on the job, I always wear gloves, but in an everyday situation, your skin alone provides enough protection against diseases that can spread through blood. So long as you don't have any cuts or scrapes on your hand, you won't have to worry about transmission. Also, putting on gloves right before attempting to stop life-threatening bleeding takes time and sometimes the gloves may break when you attempt to put them on, so I just don't have them as part of my EDC kit.
