The last little one day camping trip I took with my wife and daughter was absolutely saved by the 3 bug nets we bought on a whim at Big 5 the day before.
I bought a LV bag kislux years ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The store clerk inspected my bag and immediately told me that the bag was of good quality. She pulled a current bag out of inventory and compared the tags and I found zero differences

Agree it’s nice for a kid. My kids will have fun “playing” with it. But I think it’s still funny cause you know the people who buy it are gunna throw it somewhere and if they ever need it, it won’t help as much as they need. Thanks for watching
When I choose a bag I always look for practicality, it needs to match the majority of my wardrobe and be able to hold my essentials, and the kislux delivers just that.
The bug net could be used as a net for catching small bait fish if you build out the kit with actual stuff you need. Or a live well bag or used as a fish trap

I could have saved you time and money. This kit is an unwise use of money. If your life might hinge on the quality of your kit, you're better off using the money to build a kit, piece by piece. Purchase quality products that will work when you're life depends on it.
Yeah just build your own like Les Stroud reccomends. You may be able to incorporate some of these items into one you custom build but I would definitely buy individual high-quality items and build my own.
Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in kislux . If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermes, no one will question you.
5:00 - 5:02 ; that crazy fast bird that passed a few feet behind you had me tripping for a second. cool little kit - I mean its Walmart so perpetually in the "not bad" range for gear. well, if you buy 3 kits you'll get six pocket knives, 3 sporks with knife, 3 collapsible shovels, and 3 bug head nets; cool!
I took that same KIT after I put it together as a US Army Airborne Ranger into the back woods of Nova Scotia and stayed there for months. I used that same KIT to render aid to a person I found that was hurt while hiking and then fashioned a small canoe out of a tree that I cut down with the saw/shovel and made my way to Greenland. That KIT is all a real survivalist needs! Everything is what you make it!
Lmao tell me more. I want specifics on everything, time it took to cut down said tree, time it took to fashion a canoe out of said tree, time it took to canoe to Greenland from NS, and every single thing in between lol. Thanks for watching

Best thing I can say for that kit is that at least there is plenty of room to add gear to it. I am surprised it doesn't come with some method of purifying water and a container for the clean water.
I haven’t seen any cheap ones that come with a purifier method. I’ve seen one with a flat water bottle. But again no way to clean the water in that one. lol best thing is the amount of extra room for you to fix it. That’s great: Thanks for watching
I drove commercial truck locally for years. I was often in bad parts of town. I had to leave my “Get Home Bag” in the truck when I went inside to give them my paperwork etc. I therefore had cheap gear in the bag like this kit sold at Walmart. My pew pew was a Taurus G2C. If someone broke in my truck while I was inside and stole my bag and weapon (many warehouses I went to had metal detectors and a no weapons policy) it would ruin my day but not my year. There’s advantages to cheap gear sometimes and my situation proved that. It’s good enough to get the job done (protect and help save you) until you can get to your more quality gear.
Walmart camping trick. Buy everything you need. Use it for a week or two. Return for a full refund because they are not what you want. Next camping season repeat the Walmart camping trick.
lol been there done that. I mean asking for a friend. My first backpacking trip, I mean my friend’s first backpacking trip, I / he bought a mummy bag from Walmart and returned it after the trip. It’s a nice trick if you need to use it. Thanks for watching
Thanks to this video, I learned something. I can't see the difference between the real thing and the fake one, so I just buy the fake one. But if you want to buy it in the future, it is better to invest in the real thing. But now I am still considering buying a fake one within the budget. I have been waiting for kislux for a long time.
If you look up P-51 can opener you will see how it’s used. You pierce a hole through the top with the pointy end of the can opener. Then the curved part of the can opener is beveled like a knife and you work your way around the can forcing that knife part through the top about a 1/4 inch at a time. Thanks for watching
I ran into this a few weeks ago in the store, and after much thought, I decided it had to be intended as a supplement - things you would need but might have forgotten in your regular camping setup. I figured that had to be why there was no survival blanket/tarp (assumes you already have a sleeping bag/tent), a spork, fire-starters, and oodles of bottle/can openers (the ones with sharp edges remind me of a streamlined version of the old P-38) but nothing to cook food _in_, and so on. Oh, and just to see if this video was about the one I had seen, I pulled it up on Walmart's website - they appear to have replaced the mosquito net with a survival blanket now. For myself, I'd have to add a tarp/heavier survival blanket, an esbit style stove or similar, and after some thought, a military style canteen with the slide on cup that could be used as a cook pot.
@AdventureswithSpackmann mine had no magnesium in it, the fire steel is not magnesium, unless they subbed for the fire tender rope or said as my mom would say ,"screw that noise" to the magnesium
Oddly I’ve been impressed with the quality of some ozark trail stuff, though, especially for the price. Leave one of those fold out shovels in my trail rig. They dig dirt out surprisingly well 🤷♂️ Their knives are okay. I love their electric hand warmers more than anything they make, though.
There are many products that I love from them. My favorite tent is one of them, my current favorite knife too. But right, some is trash. Thanks for watching
Eh... For $30 im not too mad at it. Working fire starter, some tinder, two knives, a few whistles, and the case will cost you that anyway. Not horrible for a base to add things into. Definitely needs a emergency blanket. I would probably toss in some isopure, a backpacking tarp, some food, and swap that shovel for a decent trowel. My guess is this was a way for them to get rid of some old products that weren't selling well.
It's not totally bad for people on a budget and could be what saves a life. The real test would be for a survivalist dropped in a rough area with a satellite phone (in case they need to be located in an emergency during the test). I'd watch that.
Going into wildlife preserves in south Glorida I get stung through my clothes by giant mosquitos. They're so big they look like fire flies. I don't know if a mosquito net will work. It might.
I would keep one in my car. it might be small enough to fit inside the wheel well of my spare tire. It may not a "good 'survival kit, but imagine breaking down on a back road in the winter, or having a way to help someone get from "where they are", to safety. If you want a top class unit, buy a kit for a 5 to 10 person commercial shop, and BTW, take a first aid course or two.
I’m not sure this kit would help if you break down in the winter. A bic lighter in your pocket would be better. If it included a blanket then I’d say yes. Thanks for watching

Yeah just build your own like Les Stroud reccomends. You may be able to incorporate some of these items into one you custom build but I would definitely buy individual high-quality items and build my own.
Totally agree! Thanks for watching
“In case you need to measure your…” 😂😂😂
Lmao 🤷♂️ you never know when you need to right. Thanks for watching
Thanks
The second metal whistle is a typo. Thanks for testing the fire starter. You're the first reviewer I've seen test it.
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching
I always get a kick when I see camping knives with a corkscrew, because it's highly likely you'll find a bottle of wine out in the wild. : )
lol you know what you will find out there. Thanks for watching
love these vids keep grinding bro and u already know liked and been subscribed cheers fam
Cheers bro! So glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks for watching
i had one of those pick/shovels once and the screw that holds it up always came undone until one day the weld snapped on the handle lol
Yeah that happens lol. Thanks for watching
“China-Mart” should be the name of the store!
lol thanks for watching
Great info thanks for testing it’s easy and a panic to wanna go buy something like this and you don’t know if you don’t know you don’t know👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Exactly! You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
Ozark trail knows their demographic can’t survive a night without popping open light beers and making obnoxious noises in the woods
lol yup. Thanks for watching
I didn’t notice the bird lol. If you buy 3 you will get 12 whistles too. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann 37 days in total. If you put in requisition forms to The Discovery Channel and pay for the cost of the copied film. You can watch the whole process.
@@LTCOLPatrickWayneHerron wait it’s all documented? What’s its name
@@AdventureswithSpackmann If you requisition the footage from Discovery it is simply Titled Soaring Talon In Nature.
@@AdventureswithSpackmann Other inquiring minds have the footage and it is somewhere on RUclips already!
In all fairness that pack, at least the condor version is about $20
Yeah that’s true.
That’s great:
Thanks for watching
Talk about a cheap kit. You can make a bigger and better one with temu. Great video though! Always need reviews like these!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching
I get having cheap gear but I found you can get better options for the same amount. Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching
Why do chinese survival kits always have bottle openers? Because they learned about surviving the apocalypse from Fallout.
Cause when the world goes to sh!t we need to drink! Lol. Thanks for watching
They’re probably thinking ahead of the currency go down in the apocalypse.
@NisuKitsune1224 lol good point.
First impression of this guy and I love his humor already I'm subbing
Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel. Thanks for watching
Whoever put that survival kit out should be arrested now 😢
lol put your hands behind your back. Thanks for watching
Never seen any of your videos until this one but I enjoyed it. You’re funny but informative!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words and for watching.
“Non American ruler”?! The rest of the world refers to that as metric.
Yeah we are saying the same thing. Thanks for watching
@Pojo-tq4zk Merica! Thanks for watching
Someone please explain how u open cans with those..I see them on all multi knives but don't see how it opens cans
.maybe a beer top
If you look up P-51 can opener you will see how it’s used. You pierce a hole through the top with the pointy end of the can opener. Then the curved part of the can opener is beveled like a knife and you work your way around the can forcing that knife part through the top about a 1/4 inch at a time. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann thank you
That pack is pathetic 😂
There are definitely better ones on the market. Thanks for watching
@@AdventureswithSpackmann 4sure always interested in anything outdoor or survival
it might not be great but when it comes down to it . its better then nothing
That’s true. Thanks for watching
Thanks for the informational video... plus great ideas in the comments section. Cheers
Yw. Cheers.
I had to check and you’re right, they must have seen my video lol. It’s good they cut out some of the junk and added a blanket. Thanks for watching
Assisted-open knives are good in a self-defense situation, I've had several.
Heck yeah. Thanks for watching
This is my side kit to my main kit or bushcraft kit, Also where is the mag fire starter in it? mine did not come with it,
So you are saying they make even more mistakes than adding two identical whistles? Leaving out the fire steel is not good. Thanks for watching
@AdventureswithSpackmann mine had no magnesium in it, the fire steel is not magnesium, unless they subbed for the fire tender rope or said as my mom would say ,"screw that noise" to the magnesium
@@PostApocSurvival oh ok yeah mine didn’t come with magnesium either
@@AdventureswithSpackmann They must have only meant to only put the tinder rope only
If you’re ever stranded in your car then it’ll give you something to play with while you wait for rescue.
Now that there is a true statement lol. Thanks for watching
I get 3 pairs 100% wool soc for $5 from military surplus store. Walmarts sox are 20% wool 1 pair for $10.
Nice find! Army surplus is great. Thanks for watching
Oddly I’ve been impressed with the quality of some ozark trail stuff, though, especially for the price.
Leave one of those fold out shovels in my trail rig. They dig dirt out surprisingly well 🤷♂️
Their knives are okay.
I love their electric hand warmers more than anything they make, though.
There are many products that I love from them. My favorite tent is one of them, my current favorite knife too. But right, some is trash. Thanks for watching
Wow frenck press never see one that small love it easy for packing awesome ❤💯
It’s wicked cool right!
You maybe right that it’s not bad for $30 but I feel there are better options than this for the money. Thanks for watching
It's not totally bad for people on a budget and could be what saves a life. The real test would be for a survivalist dropped in a rough area with a satellite phone (in case they need to be located in an emergency during the test). I'd watch that.
How long do they need to stay out with it? Thanks for watching
Definitely liked the bug net. I think I have about 1000 ft of that stuff somewhere. ❤
Bug nets are so important especially during black fly season. Those bugs will drive you mad. Thanks for watching
Bought the cheep tsa friendly med kid added a lot of stuff to it. Like a cheep tourniquet, scalpels, and quick clot, with more IB Prophen
Great ideas. Thanks for watching
Going into wildlife preserves in south Glorida I get stung through my clothes by giant mosquitos. They're so big they look like fire flies. I don't know if a mosquito net will work. It might.
With a full brim hat to keep it away from your skin it might lol. Thanks for watching
I would probably just keep the pouch
Good idea. Thanks for watching
I almost got one of those i liked the bug net to. I thought that lil shovel was nice to. 😆
Bug net is nice and so is the shovel. Thanks for watching
Did they include each ziplock bag as an 'item'?
No but I thought it was funny to say one of them was an item. Thanks for watching
