- A little how to and history on dowsing with a pair of basic metal coat hanger rods. I find whatever I'm looking for this way and today I find a little gold nugget and some fines. It seems silly to walk around on a river like this, but the results prove that it works.
I’m no means an expert but curiosity got the better of me. Here in Australia I’ve used copper dowsing rods with small gold nuggets in an film canister in me back pocket which I had found using a Minelab GPZ 7000 on gold bearing ground we’re once it had been rushed numerous times in the late 1800’z. I was very sceptical at start so I done a few tests to see how accurate I could follow old timer workings/ reefs and as a novice on dowsing I was quite impressed. Working out depth is another whole game!!!! Strongly believe dowsing, the more time you spend and understand what your doin the world is your oyster
You said that dowsing is an ancient practice, and that people in the 1400's thought the earth was flat. I have some good news for you. They were spot on with this. We have lost alot of knowledge over the years. I believe alot is being hidden from us. We dont know where are memory is stored, because our mind and body's are antennas that receive information. I believe this is how dowsing works. We are tapping into a source of energy that surrounds us.

Reed, you and another channel "Ask Jeff Williams" are correct about finding gold (or any other highly conductive metal) with dowsing rods. I got very inspired by your videos a few years back...made two of my own underwater viewers, made a couple sluice boxes, a couple of long digging scoops so I wouldn't have to get out of my canoe...and a lot of these tools have not been put to much use just yet...except for the copper wire dowsing rods I made. I hope to post a vid soon that will eliminate a lot of the possible variables that give dowsing a bad name by skeptics...eliminating the psychic, muscle twitch, verbal commands, etc. as well as using a variety of dowsing rod materials and targets...to see what works best. I should be content with what I've found to already work...as the copper wire rods have picked up small targets 3 feet underground. That's actually deeper than I'd care to dig...unless the target was valuable enough to make it worth the effort. I'm not interested in detecting for water...though I might also run a test to see if the rods will detect running water through a water hose...as opposed to water without having flow. I haven't found other channels trying to actually compose a scientific study...testing different variables...seeing if a human body is even necessary to make the rods work. I'm just a window washer...with a curious mind for truth. I may not be able to define specifically WHY there is an attraction between the rods and conductive metals like gold, silver, copper, and platinum...as it may be a type of law of attraction, a different form of static electricity, or simply an antenna that forms out of our own body energy field that can detect other conductive elements. I don't know. But let the testing begin ! You may have listed your channel category as "Comedy"...but I consider it to be more "Inspirational". Thanks man !! If there are skeptics who still want to badmouth the dowsing, try it for yourself... buy or make some rods of your own, put a quarter on the ground, and using techniques such as on other dowsing channels, see if you can get the horizontally balanced rods to cross. It's eerie...watching them cross EXACLY above the quarter....no matter what direction you approach the quarter from. I have a pair of gold dowsing rods like yours, but when I use mine they swing out from each other for gold and in toward each other for iron. the problem with them is that they will detect even very small flakes of gold so they will keep you digging a very much. mine are like yours they will not work for every one. before I use mine I hold them out to each side and spin them around, they seem to work better if I do that you did very well finding that last pan of gold I liked the video good job. you can use coat hanger rods but the gold in the tips of yours are what makes them find gold

I use brass brazing rods, bent to shape. The technique works.
How can you tell if it is pointing out water ? I mean when I go out the rods come together and I could have to dig till I hit water. So how can you tell if its hitting on metal ?
Listen all dowsing friends metal L shape dowsing rods are perfect for water or minerals exploration or selection of right medicine for patients but remember it you can use every type of rods or pendulum even you can use instead of it in plastic L shape rods too you will find good results. Another thing is this the perfect results are only depend on correct dowsing method and correct dowsing method is depend on correct dowsing training in last I would like to say that correct training is depend on expert and experienced trainer. Highly qualified trainer can be capable you to find correct answers after tough practice.

Why do the chains on your feet not affect the dowsing? It seems to me the rods should cross on the chains too.

because its all a bunch of bullshit. You can make the rods cross anytime you want just by slightly leaning your hand and if anybody truly believes that it works and finds metal then your loony

+jonathan doyle I once took two men to a mine I know well. One of them found some old wires and made dowsing rods out of them. Being a sceptic I told him to go at it. I watched and followed. No action. When he walked over an old drift the rods went off. I was dumbfounded. He was standing over a gold bearing drift I knew the location of. My mining mentor, a grad of the Mackay School of Mines, could dowse water. He had many clients in Nevada, ranchers and large mining companies. He told me he didn't know how he did it, only that he could. He said one day science would explain it. He was a world renowned mining engineer. I consider it a cousin of metal detecting. Gold for example emits a halo that can be read. So does iron. An RXF gun can read metals, too, and is now in widespread use.
I have a missionary friend who used to pack in a portable well drilling rig on donkeys to remote parts of Haiti to give the people fresh water. He used wire rods to determine where to drill and always got water. A cousin of his who worked at a nuclear power facility used the wire rods to locate underground pipes etc. I myself have located underground wires and pipes and a few pieces of ole iron. Handles for rods are a NO-NO. The rods are the antennas, but the body is the receiver. If the antenna is disconnected from the receiver, you will get incorrect answers. Why people cant realize that???
