Blue and Pinkerton are two of the most popular and acclaimed albums of the 90's, and even the subsequent, less popular albums make tons of money and had either plenty of radio play or very high review scores. He isn't unpopular and he definitely isn't "Underrated"
Try memorizing 400 songs dumb ass. Ha ha dancehalls back what cha no about that. Oh wait you can’t even play guitar can ya. Well maybe you know a bunch of open chords.
Here's some timestamps if anyone wants them 0:00 talks/plays some random stuff, solos etc 2:50 Pink Triangle (mostly the solo) 6:54 a close up of Rivers' guitar pick haha, then more Pink Triangle solo 8:52 PIANO Pink Triangle solo 9:35 Sweater Song solo 10:10 "Alright, kids... now let's switch to the other bad boy... Aw, you know what, we're gonna do that one last" 10:40 Magic 13:30 Champagne Supernova 16:13 Falling for You 18:22 switches guitars 18:50 Losing my Religion 24:26 Today
Thanks for the inside look Rivers. I'm a huge fan of you and Weezer. I saw you guy's in Napa at the Silverado Resort, two day's before the big fire. It was my first time. I'm a 64 year old rocker and think you're talent as one of America's great song writers is under appreciated. It's hard for me to get excited about new music, so I wait with great anticipation when I hear about new stuff from you and Weezer. Thank you.
I truly wish he would let those fingers fly around the fret board more during his solos. I think if you're a fan, you probably know that he can really shred. Please Rivers, more fiery solos. You're good enough that they won't end up sound like metal. I love the fast picking on Dope Nose, and that doesn't sound metal; it just sounds like a great rock song. Heck, throw some tapping in there too. Orianthi is pretty good at putting that stuff in pop songs in a way that doesn't sound metal.
one of the most under rated guitarists of his entire generation
He is a very decent technical player.
and your favorite soccer team is the most overrated

telepathos Sir you predicted Van Weezer
Thoughts on Van Weezer
Falling for you is perfection. Rivers, your voice is amazing.
Was NOT expecting him to sing B.O.B.’s verse in Magic lmaooooo
It would be nice to hear more flavorful guitar work like this on future albums
Rivers is an artistic genius!
He is an absolute god playing guitar. So underated
He played a bit of "Perfect Situation" before "Pink Triangle," too.
when?
Macho champángne supernova was mágico
Okay have all the time stamps You need
0:00 - 3:12 Rivers being a cutie
Fascinating
RIVERSSSSSSSSS
I love the real, rawness.
you know you’re a professional when you pick up a .6 pick but know you need that extra .13 to make it a .73
