Some of these pundits are so disingenuous. About a year ago, Canelo told these guys that they have to fight each other and that he would fight the winner. Canelo's one man and he's already been doing his part. In eleven months he unified 168, knocking out three in-their-prime undefeated champs, and he did this in less than a year (Which other current fighter has done something comparable?). More recently he completed his trilogy against GGG and moved to light-heavy and took on an undefeated Bivol.
If this was easy, why didn't any of these other guys do it?
It's funny because no matter who he fights, people will say he's ducking...somebody else. For years people claimed he was ducking the Charlos, but after he demolished little Charlo, people flipped the script and started saying he fought the small Charlo. Andrade moved up in weight to take on Benavides, with a record of little substance, yet everyone gives Benavides props for defeating him. Yet, when Canelo moved to light heavy to take on Bivol and lost, people shit on him.

Benavides' come forward style will be perfect for Canelo. Canelo has been in there with GGG, Kovalev, and Bivol. He's tasted power and hasn't been buckled. I don't think Benavides can say the same. When Benavides realizes that his stalking approach doesn't faze Canelo, and that his power has no effect on him, what is he going to do? And how is he gonna respond when Canelo hits him with his own power? His counter-punches?
Agreed. These casuals, especially these "Podcasters" like the guy with the blue shirt on here, are haters. The way he throws around duck. I can just as easily throw around the word hater. Cause he is one. He figures, "I'm supporting David, so I'm not racist," but he likes that Benevidez is American born. He can't stand a Mexican from Mexico is the top dog in boxing. So I take these "professional" casual words with a grain of salt cause that's what it is. The Aussie guy is more respectable though. The black dude is a hater. Plain and simple.

Yep, Canelo has gone above and beyond with his accomplishments and has done everything he's supposed to as undisputed champ. It was David who never handled any business when he was champ, twice dumping his belt without facing his mandatories Callum Smith and Yildirim and rejected a unification with Plant when they were both champs, then rejected another title shot at 175. It was Canelo who fought all those guys plus Saunders within a year and challenged two champs at 175 including the toughest challenge of all Bivol which is the type of risk A side fighters don't take willingly. Mandatory isn't even due yet haters complain anyway.

Canelo is so used to having his way he is galled that anyone can dare to tell him who to fight. He got 2 gifts against GGG while aging him out for 3 years..., a gift against Lara...he should have had draws against Cotto and Trout. The Kov fight looked fixed as Kov just pitty-patted as if not to hurt Canelo...Also one judge actually scored the Floyd fight as a draw while he lost 11 out 12 rounds. He also lost 10 rounds against Bivol but was gifted 5 rounds. Canelo was clearly losing against Khan whom he outweighed by 18 lbs and was leading on 2 scorecards!

Lara ran for most of that fight and didn't beat Canelo. Sorry. It's a boxing match, not a track meet. If you're taking on the champ and the face of boxing, you have to "BEAT" him, not dance to victory. Fans and judges hate that kinda shit and for good reason. GGG didn't even hurt Canelo and he was supposed to be this big bad monster that was gonna demolish him, expose him for what he is. Canelo landed the cleaner shots in that fight, shots that would have dropped any other fighter, but GGG is just built different.

Not true casual…Benavidez sent him to the hospital. Canelo didn’t even with a Tko. Plant was nowhere to be found after the fight in the post-fight interview. With Plant it was a TKO, with Benavidez, IT WAS A 12 rounds beating and a beating like that it’s pretty often how people die in the ring
