I remember an episode with Hanley hitting the beach scared to death, Saunders saying let's go. As he was wipeing the boat number off his helmet, this episode still has it on as they move up, God I love this show back then an still to this day!
Matt A I'm not sure we still have courageous men willing to run into near certain death for their families and country. Luckily I am not sure we don't either. I hope we never have to find out.
There were at least a few underage guys in my basic training company in 1969. The army was probably just as desperate for bodies who could shoot a rifle during WW2 as it was during the Vietnam conflict. Unless it were readily apparent, I can imagine recruiters and training cadre not being overly eager to disqualify recruits for being somewhat underage.

Ringo 712 Obviously you're not a Combat fan or you'd know he was a important person in several stories, whether it was good or bad for the squad. Goofball.

It really is the balkan cross.
vic morrow was born in 1929 but still too young for ww2
Was Errol Flynn old enough for Robin Hood?
Saunders never gave a detailed account of what happened.
Good one
I've honorably served the USAF. Please help me see the rest of your episodes. I served during the Gulf War. Help.
