If anybody thinks as you that cant kill anything you cant eat , only the predators like coyote , wolf , etc will remain , even they will not survive because of people like you that kill only what they can eat.Such a dumb thinkig you have.
The cougar is the best hunter, but if wolves catch a cougar on the ground and want to eat it, they will eat it. Wolves have been known to eat polar bears and grizzly bears.

After five years of trying to trap a wolf, I finally got my first one last January, a 90lb male. So many miles, cold nasty days, so many misses and close calls. But finally got one. Just want to do my part on managing an animal that has hammered our moose, deer and elk here in N. Idaho. I found five dead moose last year in one drainage, two calves gone. This year I haven't seen a single moose in there.
The black wolf was with in .204 Ruger. The other two were with a Browning X Bolt Speed in 7mm Rem Mag. Don’t remember the exact bullets we used at that time. 150 grain.
What an amazing day!! And now you have 3 wolves. I so hope one day I can get one of those beauties and it will be soft mounted!! Congrats on a hunt for the ages, they are so elusive and majestic
A coyote is one thing but such a majestic animal as these wolfs is a tragedy. And this is coming from a Hunter for the last 45 years. I appreciate such a stealthy Hunter , and able to keep populations in check.

I killed a beautiful black wolf up in Lac La Biche Alberta back in 2016 - I will never forget that morning - 12" of fresh powder - I'm in a ladder stand hunting deer and find myself in the middle of a pack of wolves hunting - I heard them all around me - after several minutes they got closer and closer until I saw a black wolf running towards me. when he got to 80 yards he stopped, and I shot - seconds later I was in the middle of the howling pack - I'll never forget that morning! Thank you to my buddy Dale McKinnon!

If you would take the time to learn about wolves, their complex family structure, the emotions, family bonds, what absolutely amazing predatory animals they are, I pray it would educate you enough to let them live. I grew up in the bush without power, because that's what we had to do, not because it was a choice like so many do today. Animals were all around me, my father was a hunter. Look what man did by completely wiping out ALL wolves - men actually thought the wild would be better off without a top predator. Humans should just mind their own business. I hope no one kills a member of your family - that's what you're doing every time you kill a wolf.
Conservation, livestock protection... Right now in western North America we have an over abundance of wolves. Typically wolves decimate the prey species in their area, and then start to target livestock or end up starving out. By hunting predators, a more even prey predator balance is maintained.
Beautiful creature, but... from the wolves' standpoint, this is a big and sad loss of a key member of their pack. At 75 and having hunted all my life, my view of hunting has changed over the years. Sad to see that creature leave us. Don't worry though, I'll feel differently if they kill any of my livestock.

Governing bodies do not give out tags to endangered species. Infact, the reason he was able to take 2 wolves and likely could have legally taken more (as 7 is legal here in AK) the population of that animal is such that they NEED hunters to take these animals in high numbers, because the animal is killing too many moose, elk, deer, caribou, and many other animals. So before you start spewing BS you know nothing about. Learn about animal conservation.

Congrats. I don't mean to sound negative but why don't you guys use shooting sticks and also no type rifle rest in the blind. Shooting off of a window sill , or knee is never as steady as some type of rifle rest.
Kyler has straps in the blinds that assist. On the ground in our natural ground blind we had shooting sticks ready but the wolves didn’t come in where we could use them so had to shoot leaning against a tree. Always helps to have a good rest, we use them often!
