You are right but walking past them on the beach does not disturb them. This is not a nesting area but a spot where they rest during the day when we get big waves. They lay there all day and people walk past them including our life guards on their quads, just don't bother them 🤙🏼

Hard to tell, are the 'foilers feet in stirrups, or whatever they're called?
They're called straps and they are optional. They are needed for jumping and doing flips but not for just riding and catching waves 🤙🏼
