  • In this video we talk about all the types of things you'll have to do on the rate in-rate out AP Calculus Free Response Questions (FRQs). These types of questions come up often--17 times since 2000 as of 2021! You will have to know this for both the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams.
    Common concepts: identify a rate in context; integrate a rate and interpret the result; write an accumulation function; evaluate an accumulation function; determine increasing/decreasing at a point or on an interval; use an accumulation function to find a total; determine absolute maximum/minimum value and time at which it occurs (Candidates Test! Or Lonely critical point!); understand what happens when only one of the rates applies

      love to hear it (kind of...). Rate in/Rate out is a pretty common topic, so you definitely want to master it.

    The part where you said sometimes a question feels too easy so you hesitate to move on.. I relate on a spiritual level. I’m really confident for this bc exam though because of you thank you

    Im trying to get a 5 for calc AB I feel confident, getting in lots of practice for key concepts in each unit after taking notes the hard part is juggling several APs but notes & practice is my best strategy

    Do you have by chance a video explaining the main types of FRQ's on the AB test?

    • @turksvids
      @turksvids  Год назад

      Unfortunately nothing that hits all the main types succinctly. I have the problems kind of grouped by type in playlists linked on this site: turksmathstuff.com/apreviewvids.html
      Hope this helps!

    should i expect this on the calculus AB AP exam?

      There are a bunch of types that can show up and none of them are on it every single year, but this type has definitely been trendy for a while. I definitely recommend getting comfortable with it!
