Short update on the improvised leg vise for my workbench. See how easy it is to open/close :)
Clamping force is very good!
This vise was made from scrap wood (pine + neem) using a 20mm threaded rod.

I chose the 'moxon' screw style for its faster operation and easier build.
Video also shows extending of the leg vise screw: I wanted to be able to clamp wide (thick) material but without having the screw protrude too far, so I added the smaller 'knob' to adjust it in and out.
I didn't use any glue, so everything can be replaced or modified when needed.
