All of the spud guns' projectile spread will decrease when standing still, and even further decreases when crouching and/or aiming down sights. Extremely useful for the spudling/shotgun at mid-range. The width of your crosshairs represents the spread, and switching to 3rd-person view shows it during sighted aiming.
@@knownanonymous5829 honestly the best thing would be chests on pistons to make dumping your full inventory faster. Just attach it to the bottom of the watering mechanism
A helpful tip if you want to slow down the watering system without splitting it to a bunch of controllers just add some weight, stack some metal or concrete, evenly of course, on the water cannon gantry. Start with a little and keep adding till you reach desired speed. Just gauge it off the beginning of the stroke because it is slower near the end. And thank you for another fun episode.
Max watering/planting system efficiency: 2 pistons on each controller, set to 3-block increments **with only one piston moving at a time** (big rigs need timers or sensors). Cannons/pumps go on a sensor detecting a block at each step. Tune the speed to match the cooldowns and you're golden!
To help in cleaning the scuff from the pool... you can extend your air supply by attaching a bucket (big enough to put your head in, bigger = better) to a rope and sink it to near the bottom of the pool (using a weight like sandbags). You want to trap as much air as possible in the bucket as it sinks. Then instead of coming up for air, you can just stick your head in the bucket to breathe. Just be mindful that CO2 will build up, so you can only do it a few times before you start getting light headed. But a couple of minutes at the bottom is going to be better than having to come all the way back up each time. It's either that or you use a long enough hose that you can breathe through, but water can sometimes get into the hose making it difficult to use.
@kAN, you could just exclude the hotbar from the gamma filter in editing... ;) (Let's see how far we get him in stepping up his editing skills! XD ) PS: Gamma in edit looks better than in game. Nicely done.
32:00 Actually from a gamedev perspective they most likely either use a raycast or a collision layer If they use raycast then the first crate that collides with the raycast is taken which would be realistic but it would be too much focused on just one line If they use a collision layer then it is completely random and depends on variables like FPS, the delta value (amount of seconds between the previous and current frame, can be a float or an integer value), how the game engine handles collision etc
I like how this friend group has certain items that they like/use most. Kosmo always has a ton of bearings, Kan is really good at logic stuff, and Scrapman has his wedges and mugs. idk about Moonbo though. edit: spelling
You can automate the trader-vacuum with a water-gun put a vacuum-pump in his pond with a water-container and have a line of material (just something cheap that you don’t use a lot) over to the button with a water-cannon on a logic repeater that shoots water at the button, if you want to.
You should put a false floor in your truck bed for quick unloading tedious items like fertilizer. Like one block in your current bed, then a slab on that so you can delete the one and put the slab on a lift 😁
Hey kAN just wanted to give you a shout out, I appreciate all the stuff you do. I just starting twitch streaming, and I love scrap mechanic. You have been a big inspiration to me and I wanted to thank you for that.
For the waterer, maybe set up some logic so rather than constantly pushing forward, the pistons pulse forward and back to have a little better speed control? Kind of a two steps forward, one step back deal. If the speed becomes reliable enough to be fully automated, you can just use a sensor at the end of the track to fully retract it
Kan for your pool take a long pvc pipe and put it on the stain and pour a small amount of acid into it and it should clean it up pretty good, use to clean pools and acorns would always cause streaks but acid will sink down the pipe and you can guide it down the line, just don’t put too much or you’ll mess up the chemicals and maybe worsen the stain. A little goes a long way
Cosmo is slavik, I have been wondering where that little hint of accent was from...lol That actually explains it, and also explains some of the interesting turns of phrases I have heard him use. Old video, but I'm just seeing it now, :D
hey man, a raid every night also increases how many bots spawn. to a limit of course, but if you consistently have a 1.5 tier crop farm and just defend every night not only will you get a free supply of components and circuits. But you would also get free scrap metal.
You can slow down the pistons more, just put each piston on it's own controller and have a sensor activate the next controller. If all you're doing is watering, then you could even do four pistons on a controller, but for the amount of water cannons you have I would stick to one piston per controller set in increments. You might have enough pumps to support that.
Idea: For the farm, maybe you could try to run the watering system on wheels instead of pistons. You could create a rail system for the wheels to run on and set a slow speed with an electric engine.
I think they need an 'upgrade bench' to improve your tools. The hammer could be improved to do more damage, and the lift would get cool functionality. The lift could be upgraded to give it more save-slots for vehicles, and maybe have limits on the components which can be saved in a slot.
If they would lower there watering thing it would be easier to get direct rows watered at a time using the same amount of water but its directed in rows and not wasting water on the same rows
for the pool scuff thing and not being able to use soap etc to clean the scuff mark: use steelwool you wont need any kind of soap, its abresive enough to clean of the scuff mark
Yall could make a giant water silo near the farm, that way instead of needing more pumps you can overshoot in water storage and just let the pumps run to keep it full Also a water tower would be a fun build
The shotgun is also meant to be used up to 5 blocks away... pretty much the same distance as a hammer swing if not 1 or 2 more blocks. The other guns are for long-range.
I have checked the dev inventory the amount of experimental stuff there is overwhelming. Most of it would make farming completely automatic, like seed tanks that you can hook to the pumps
for the auto watering system I would recommend that you use a two part clock hooked in to a binary counter that activates the pistons with each increment and the pistons could all be set to max speed but their distances would be set like this the one hoked in to the first bit would be set to 3 then the next 6, then12, 24, 48 (using multiple pistons to add up to the numbers that are to big for one) so when the counter is on binary for say plot 155 10011011 the 3 6 24 48 384 pistons would activate and set up your system 155 plots or 465 spaces away then a timer triggers the water and then another timer triggers the counter to put out the next binary number 10011100. I did it on a smaller scale but I was able to automate watering and planting of 32 plot set up with 5 bits technically 6 but I just use the last one to Triger the timers shutdown.
