Rajmachi Fort is one of the many historical forts in the rugged hills of Sahyadri mountains (Western Ghats). Rajmachi Fort (Killa) consists of two twin fortresses Shriwardhan Ballekilla and Manaranjan Balekilla, with a wide Machi (plateau) surrounding the two Balekillas. Udhewadi is a small village of about 22 houses situated on the Machi (plateau), at the southern foot of Manaranjan Balekilla of Rajmachi Fort.
Rajmachi Fort is a popular destination for nature lovers, trekkers and for outdoor campers. In rainy season from mid-June to mid-October, this region is all the more beautiful with clouds, silvery water falls, streams, lush green forests and meadows. Local families at Udhewadi on Fort Rajmachi welcome trekkers and nature lovers. The local families provide food and camping accommodation to the tourists. The tourism has enabled the local community to give up traditional occupations like agriculture and cattle rearing.
Historically, Rajmachi fort was a strategic fort to control Borghat (the Ghat between Khopoli and Khandala on Mumbai-Pune route) which was a historical trade route. It was in the possession of Angre family, the head of Maratha navy in the 18th century. Rajmachi Fort (Killa) consists of two twin fortresses Shriwardhan Ballekilla and Manaranjan Balekilla, with a wide Machi (plateau) surrounding the two Balekillas. There are historical water reservoirs and ruins of fortifications, ramparts, gateways on both the Ballekillas. A view from top of the Forts, of the surrounding hills and vallies is quite mesmorizing. A Shiv Mandir built in Hemdapanti style of arcitecture, approximately in the 8th century AD, on the west end of a big historical water reservoir is worth visiting. The water reservoir was constructed during the year 1780 AD, by Ramrao Narayanrao Desmukh, Mamalatdar of Danda Rajpuri.

Well explained video. i don't understand much Marathi but the way of your speaking and guiding is too good that makes me able to understand each and every little bit of information. Keep making these type of videos they are very helpful for the people.
I really like one of the important things you did in this video apart from covering the trek that was when you explain to people that don't ruin the environment with plastics because we are responsible for our nature for the coming generation. I would like to add, please follow this rule, never throw plastics and other bottles here and there, throw them in dustbin or else keep it with you until u found the dustbin. Keep this natural place as it is.

Good question 😊 आम्ही आधीच 5 ते 6 किमी चालून आलो होतो आणि नंतर हा गड चढून गेलो होता. आम्हाला खूप उशीर झाला होता परत 6 किलोमीटर चालून पार्किंग पर्यंत जायचे होते त्या मूळे मनरंजन गडावर न जाण्याचा निर्णय घेतला, तो बरोबर ही ठरला कारण परत जाताना अर्ध्या वाटेतच अंधार झाला होता.
खूप मस्त छान वाटलं 👍👍 मी 4 वेळा जाऊन आलोय पण तुमच्या माध्यमातून हा किल्ला पुन्हा पाहायला मिळाला धन्यवाद 🚩🚩

Yes, It's safe...with nessesory precautions. Just go carefully don't rush and don't take risky selfies. Plase keep in mind that you have to walk 5 to 6 kms one way. Little bit of walking practice is required. You better stay in Rajapuri village at the bottom of the fort so that you don't have to walk 10-12 kms in a day.
