I'm an MK fan but there's a lot of his music I haven't heard (will have check this one out). Anyway yours is a beautiful performance Glen..♫•*¨*•.¸¸✿. Great guitar solo!
Sometimes. But generally on RUclips people are not interested in original stuff. Viewers are interested in learning to play covers of songs they already know. Be well out there... - Glenn
Hi Glenn. Flute player 86 here. Well done. I started learning that Gordon Lightfoot Peace on Flute. Minstrel of the DAWN. It's a really neat piece. I'm still trying to figure out why the hymn that comes from Matthew chapter 6 verse 33 has stuck with me since I was a child. I've never been able to understand that, and I probably never will. I've always wondered why certain tunes stick with you, and will not leave you be until you figure them out. Minstrel of the DAWN is that way. So is that beautiful piece where Gordon talks about the four seasons that the Earth endures every year. Pussy willows cat tails. A friend of mine and I are performing that in church on June 2. I've always wondered why tunes become earworms sometimes and will not leave you alone until you sit down and play them. I guess that's what happens. Don't know the reason. have you ever collaborated with any musicians? Just asking.
Hi Amanda! I have done a little collaborating, but not very much. I do know what you mean about ear worms. I have music running through my head all the time. Regarding your flute playing, when you learn a flute piece, I know you have to memorize it and that makes it a slightly bigger challenge. But I am sure you are up to the challenge! You take care! - Glenn
@@glennwillow5124 yes. Whenever I learned a new piece of music, it is a slightly bigger challenge. Brill music is very confusing, so I learned everything by ear. I have perfect pitch, and that can be a blessing or a curse. It can be a blessing when the person you're sitting next to or playing with is right on key, and it can be a curse, when they are downright flat or off key. I've had singers like that around me before. Anyhow, earworms can be kind of annoying, but it's good when you have them, because they want you to figure them out. Anyhow, I'll let you know how my performance goes on June 2. Did you know, three people tried to get me to give up Star Wars, which is something else I really enjoy alongside music. I rebelled and gave them a lot of trouble, and they knew they were getting nowhere, so they had to admit defeat. There's not even anything remotely dangerous about Star Wars at all. It's only Star Wars, that's all it is. not that worried. I'm out of that situation, but I'm still dealing with the psychological trauma. I'm doing OK though. Star Wars and music go hand and hand in a way. John Williams is an excellent composer. He's done the music for a lot of other movies as well. I have an album that has a lot of music on it, including pieces from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and others.
I'm so glad you love Star Wars. The original trilogy is my favorite film series. Star Wars has been entering my life periodically. In late 2018, early 2019, it re-entered my life, and hasn't left. That's a good thing. I was going through a box of keepsake toys from when I was a child, and I discovered some Star Wars figures in there. I had forgotten how much I love the franchise, and rekindled my passion. since I got out of a terrible situation, I have expanded my collection without those people, knowing. Anyhow, John is an excellent composer. what would you do if you were in a situation where people who say they are your friends tried to force you to give up what you enjoy? Would you do what I did, and rebel and every way you knew how? I would deliberately make them mad, by posting Star Wars quotes in my WhatsApp about profile, or saying things in reference to Star Wars. There was one time, I put the message, I like what I like and no one can tell me otherwise. That made them really mad. I was letting them know that they weren't going to get anywhere, and that they just needed to admit defeat because I wasn't going to give up what I love. Music and Star Wars are just two of the things that I enjoy. I also enjoy working with the PC, playing audio games, and doing other things.
Thank you RZ! I will make sure those guys get a fair share of what I get. (0!) But it's all for fun! Thanks so much for watching and for your kind comments! Hope all is well for you! - Glenn
