If your extraction time and your pressure are within the correct range, the strength of the espresso is determined by the grounds to water ratio. For example, a shot made from 18 grams of grounds, will be stronger at 36 grams out (1 to 2 ratio), than at 54 grams out (1 to 3 ratio). Does that answer your question? By the way, thank you for watching my friend. I have some new coffee videos coming soon.
Please can you try to grind some pre-ground coffee and check if it will work to make it more fine ,,, as I have a lot of pre-ground coffee and I need to know if I can use this machine
My friend most likely it will not work. All ground coffee's are not the same so it would be very difficult to answer the question. Can I purchase the same coffee that you are wanting to use? If so, maybe I can find it and try it. Another thing is that if you use pre-ground coffee, you can not control the brew time, and that is very important. Most likely, the coffee will be too coarse, it will brew too fast, and it will be watery and not good.
Please don't think I'm being rude. But you could see a lot of channeling in that shot because when you took it off, it created small dents in the coffee where the water can get through. That shot was too quick unless it was sped up.
First let me thank you for watching, and I really appreciate the comment. I'm not really sure what you mean about the channeling because I never showed the puck after the shot. Maybe I did have channeling, but I can't remember, I made this video a while ago.
