The issue is...."how much better?". Some will be happy with a modest lifestyle and security and appreciate you for this and be happy. My advice as a Westerner who's been married to a Filipina almost 3 years; First there's some nightmare stories but most of the Filipinas are very reserved compared to women back in the West. (Look for the college educated women and there's plenty as college is affordable) Second, take it slowly let her open up to you, many of the Filipinas haven't had much (if any at all) "dating" experience so things that you may think are "normal" she's likely not gonna understand. Lastly, get to know her family and let them get to know you also. Do simple things together, walk along the beach and take pictures (Filipina really enjoy capturing the moment) Filipina are very traditional and will expect you to as the guy take the lead, to ask her out, choose her, romance her and let cook for you she'll enjoy this and you'll enjoy eating some of the traditional foods. She'll also at some point wanna talk about marriage and kids, don't shy away from this conversation.
While those are all fairly accurate generalizations, my advice would be somewhat different. My advice would be to just treat every woman you meet anywhere as an individual rather than a social stereotype. It does not matter that a somewhat higher percentage of women from country A might have certain attributes or characteristics than those of country B, etc. All that matter is what the attributes and characteristics are of the particular woman that you happen to be seeing at the time. Yes, all things mentioned are things different Filipinas will value....BUT there's a bottom line that defines whether these things actually matter and how much. That bottom line is money and specifically the difference between what she has and what you have. This is called hypergamy. It's an evolved instinct found in all women everywhere on the planet. A Filipina who can barely feed her kids will view a man earning 4-5x the average non-farm salary has a valuable resource. If she can get with him it means her and her kids (she already has and/or could have with the guy) can eat, get medical care, an education, have a roof and clothes. That man's body odor is never going to be bad enough for that Filipina to say "nah". You did hit on this by saying a Filipina earning a good living is going to be harder to date. Yes, because the income gap is less. Whe Filipinas are asked they always say "money isn't as important as...XYZ" because they're aware of the gold digger thing. Smart Filipinas will never ask for money even if starving because that risks the foreigner seeing her as a scammer. BUT if you ask random Filipinos what's the main characteristic of foreigners more than 95% will say "they're rich" and the one and only defining characteristic. So far I mostly attracted to the personalities typically the Filipina women that I like are not the best looking they've got good figures. Very true. They have slightly different meaning for some English wordings than we have. They're less direct because of the face saving thing. For example I heard they like men who have respect and initially I thought the Western meaning of like not calling people names. But slowly learned what they were primarily meaning was to not talk about money....to not try to impress them with your money. Even that had a different meaning. I've been married in the US twice. I haven't dated in decades. It sounds nice to spend time in the Philippines, but my goal isn't a wife. Maybe a long term companion, but I doubt many women would settle for that. Also, younger women have their biological click ticking and running them up against the wall. Many women that say they don't want kids, by the time they hit in their thirties, they become obsessed with the idea of having kids. Often, it's not that they want to spend the next twenty or thirty years raising kids, it's more like they are afraid of missing out on something. It's a dilemma for men like me. You can meet Filipina just about anywhere in the Philippines if you are a Foreigner. Does not matter how old you are or how you look. The dollar value speaks volume. This is something locals boys can't compete. Higher end Filipina or above average income Filipina does not go with a Foreigner. They stick to their own kind. I'm a Filipina from the Northern part of the country, and i don't think that "Southern Filipino women are more conservative than Northern Filipino women" is a fact. There are in fact many Southern girls who are living here in the North, and vice versa, so u can't just say Southern women are more conservative than those from the North. Just saying.
There will always be an exception. I try to emphasize that it's difficult to determine when you generalize a situation. Well I've watched a lot of videos with Filipina women and Asian women in general. I guess what you can glean from watching the videos. So far I mostly attracted to the personalities typically the Filipina women that I like are not the best looking they've got good figures. They seem to be extremely loyal the women that I like and pretty bright. They come from impoverished backgrounds but have an extreme mastery of English language considering their upbringing. I like province girls. I like women they can plant a garden take care of animals. Like you said most of the girls are not tens that I'm attracted to but that I would be attracted to a 10. So far most of them are just good-looking but not extremely good-looking good figures. But it's more about their personalities loyal low body count would seem to be that way. Good personality
southeast asian women are more commitment and family focused. and from all indications, speaking generally, Filipinas are religiously conservative, being predominantly catholic. for every horror story we probably hear, thousands are successful and happy marriages. they also tend to want to be married much younger because of social and cultural pressures. since there is no divorce in the Philippines, find the right one probably younger than 27. don't mess around with married women, that's just stupid - in any country

pretty much addressed nothing of the filipino culture and how their social mores affect behaviors. I have lived there for 3+ years and traveled there 28x. I married the wrong woman (with 2 kids from 2 different fathers, who now has another child from yet another father) go figure. We are divorced everywhere/world wide except in the Philippines. Most beautiful Asian women can easily find a great local man, and are usually taken very soon. But they might be attracted to a Caucasian man with blue eyes and light skin, like myself. Online dating sites have become full of liars and scammers. Especially if they look georgeous.
When I first landed in Davao years back I was supposed to be welcomed by my online chat mate that I found in Asian Dating. She never showed up. Luckily I had not given her more than like 40 usd just once, so at least I did not fall victim to her scam, other than to be lured down South.
So being on my own, a total stranger in a new part of the country, I walked around along the streets, sitting down outside 7 Eleven and went into the malls going to the park etc. But being relatively shy, I did not meet anybody serious, they just smile and wave while passing by.
I met my wife via a local woman whom I met in a bar in Davao. She asked why I was there in Davao, so I told her that I was looking for wife material. She put me in contact with her friend in the Province, and step by step we ended up being a couple.
In the following years, when I walk into a store, whether be it a small supermarket, a local hardware or in a Department store outside of the big city, then the ladies are quick to hit on me. I am already taken, but still it is fun to see how eager they are.
I have been with a pinoy woman for 4 years and what does not fly is sarcasm. It is not done there and is frowned upon. One more big no no is being loud and confrontational. Filipinas love white guys with light brown hair, especially on their arms. And white guys love the darker skinned Filipinas. The culture of in the Philippines values obesity and light skin. Love is fickle, and one man's steak is another man's teriyaki. Asian males don't sweat electrolytes like everyone else does. this causes grounding problems and static electricity shorting out of semiconductor chips. It isn't a racial construct, it is just physical chemistry. So asian males don't have to be a fastidious about body odor.
I have been married to a lovely Filipina lady for 5 years now and we have a little daughter together aged 2.5 years. When I met her she was in my home country and we got married here. We then traveled to the Philippines and lived there until covid came, then we went back home. But I took my time and got to know her well for a year before we got married. And she comes from a family with money so I never paid anything to them. She also has a university degree and she is 25 years younger than me. She told me what she was looking for in a man when we met. She wanted a Norwegian man with blue eyes who was tall and who did not drink alcohol or smoke. And who was kind and patient. All this was me and the rest was just chemistry, she said. I have never been as good as I am now and I have been married several times before and I have 2 children from before and grandchildren and today we are one big happy family. Talking about money is a extremely bad idea. . And talking down to them or looking down on them is a no no. Talking about their politics is a very bad idea and will get a person deported. Very true. They have slightly different meaning for some English wordings than we have. They're less direct because of the face saving thing. For example I heard they like men who have respect and initially I thought the Western meaning of like not calling people names. But slowly learned what they were primarily meaning was to not talk about money....to not try to impress them with your money. Even that had a different meaning. In the West talking about money can be seen as bragging which is something low value people do. But the reason Filipinas don't like it is because it makes them feel bad about themselves. They're already feeling insecure trying to figure out how to bag this foreigner and everytime he brags about his money it only raises the bar for her to try and overcome. Whereas a foreigner that says he's poor, can't afford this or that, she can feel more comfortable with. She can add value to him by cooking, cleaning, getting good deals. I've been married in the US twice. I haven't dated in decades. It sounds nice to spend time in the Philippines, but my goal isn't a wife. Maybe a long term companion, but I doubt many women would settle for that. Also, younger women have their biological click ticking and running them up against the wall.
Many women that say they don't want kids, by the time they hit in their thirties, they become obsessed with the idea of having kids.
Often, it's not that they want to spend the next twenty or thirty years raising kids, it's more like they are afraid of missing out on something.

The main objective for many an Asian girl, living in a 3rd world country, is to get out of that country by any means possible. The easiest way to do that is to marry a foreigner and go to live with him in a first world country. It's that simple. Most will marry just about any foreigner as it will ineviteably lead to a better life, then she currently has and in many cases a hugely better life. Looks and physical condition normally does not enter the picture. As long as he is a half way decent person. If it so happens that he is also good looking and fairly young then that is a bonus beyond her dreams. I myself married the girl of my dreams at 35. She was a 27 year old Thai and was one of the prettiest females I had every met. We have been married for 47 years. Most of my friends have been married to either Thai or Filipinas for just about as long. I had chances to marry American girls but somehow gravitated toward Asians. And, I'm glad that I did.

Most are money scammers or green card scammers. Filipines is a third world country and many filipinas in the province are living in poverty.
If you try you can spot the money scammers easily and all women want money wherever they are from but Filipinas are a lot more feminine than western women. Most men who marry Filipinas stay there because of feminism rot in their countries.
