Great idea for a quick fix. I just received my g90, but not as a bundle. Going to order fan stand for sure, and will definitely install this guard if needed on one I recieve. I have enjoyed all your G90 videos, and would like to see one on basic CAT control options. Not necessarily digital modes, but basic CAT to a laptop.
Hi Buzz. Great easy solution with the computer fan grill. If the screws and nuts are too much of a PITA, you can maybe try small zip ties good'n'tight. Like many tools, a friend's 3D printer is best :) His is about the size of a regular laser printer and very cheap to print with inexpensive filament spool (that I contributed to the cause for many widgets from Thingiverse :) Thanks for the shout out and sharing info; good luck with the channel.
I just got one of these from the Radioddity store on Amazon. They have improved the design. It has a full enclosure with a bottom, front, and rear panels, all the same sheet metal as the rest of its build. The bottom has a grill slot pattern for fan air flow. So no finger risk with the new design. And also the PCBA is fully protected as being fully enclosed. The rear power cable exits the rear panel thru a rubber grommet.

Now if someone would make a video showing me how to properly wire in a switch for the fan so it doesn't stay on all of the time...
