Which teams do you use for memory of chaos? I need suggestions for F2P teams. My SSRs are Bronya, Seele, and the ice sword guy(hunt path). As for SRs i have them all.
Well.. Nihility characters maybe don't have 100% success rate to land debuffs (because of enemy effect res), but they have damage on their kit. Not only merely debuff skills without damage. Maybe that is the balance compensation.
Even if we have to build nihility units with effect hit rate, and have them do less damage, they will still out dps harmony units who are rarely built for damage and rarely do their damaging abilities.
@@lincoln9498 is not true hit rate, the skill description said base rate, it means that the enemy can counter it with effect resistance, either way building hit rate on them would most likely guarantee it to hit so that is least of the worry
Yall forgotten that debuff might not be 100% but their dmg is 100% in comparison to harmony characters that only buff with the only exception being Asta
Also harmony buffs can only go so far till you hit diminishing returns with high invested maxed characters while debuffing adds a fresh new multiplier into the damage calc.
Except ur gonna build debuffers like Pela and SW with effect hit rate chestpiece and spd boots so ur "dmg" would be shit anyway. Don't forget in high memory of chaos, enemies have an insane amount of effect resist so without any effect hit rate, you gonna be missing alot of debuffs lol.
@@joaquinchua3348 it really depends some people reset for the perfect run especially at how difficult it is right now compared to our gear just having good enough stats and then resetting for a good run might make it easier but take longer.
Gepard is a perfectly good substitute for a healer. Bringing Bailu or Natasha with him would be like bring Qiqi with Zhongli. So if you have Gepard or Bailu feel free to pull for anyone you like.
March 7, especially if you went for this last banner, also has a small amount of healing in her skill in one of her eidelons. I've cleared most of forgotten hall this way with Natasha on one team and March on the other.
@@krystingarrett2598 She does have a minor heal, but it is rather minor, and it's not until e6. It's unlikely many players got all the way to e6 unless they lost 50/50 and kept going maybe. If you have great rng and the enemies only hit the target of March's shield (ideally Clara) then sure you can probably still clear a fair bit of MoC that way.
From what I see, you need to build Nihility as sub dps unlike harmony characters. Sure you sacrifice some stats because you need effect hit rate main stat in the jacket but most of their traces is dmg (based on pela) and there are planar set that convert ur effect hit rate to attack. Pela Eidolon also increase energy gain when defeating enemy.
@@lesterism kafka isnt a good sub dps, kafka demands a dots team to get value out of her, and kinda functions like the main dps of the team. and playing a main dps without a buffer or a debuffer that reduces defenses(cause sanpo might be a need or a consistent dots aplier) it will suck
I built my welt focusing on hit effect then crit/critdmg. Nihility characters are meant to be sub dps if you just building damage then you lose like half their kit. Luckily for welt he has damage modifiers whenever he’s attacking debuffed enemies plus if I have his light cone he pumps a decent chunk
I appreciate the thought put into this video. It's true that Nihility does feel like it's lagging behind Harmony due to having to stack Effect Hit Rate if you want to increase your chance to actually land the debuffs. My plan was to build a full quantum team one day since I have Seele, so if I get Silver Wolf then I'm one step closer to getting there. If Wolf can add quantum weakness to bosses then she'll be perfect for a full quantum team. Though it will be at least several months before we even get more quantum characters. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.
I agree. As of now, the best teams are one hypercarry, one support harmony, one abundance healer, and one taunt tank, either preservation or Clara. The only slot we can afford to replace for silverwolf is the harmony slot. Her best niche is being in a mono typing or at the very least only two typing teams, in which we don't have the units for to support it. Not to mention she is a single target debuffer and high end MoC has two or more bosses at once. I'll most likely skip in favor of luocha since I don't have a 2nd healer yet.
I hope that blade is the second banner of 1.2 cus I want him and luocha on a team together, cus I really like both their aesthetics and also I think they’d work really well together
Silver Wolf is the smart choice for my account. I got Welt from the beginner banner, was unable to get Seele, and was very lucky to get Bailou from the standard banner with free pulls. This means I already have 2 Healers and a very good Imaginary type character. Aside from the fact I loved Brony in HI3, she's probably my best immediate bet for a source of consistent quatum damage, and her skill ensures my team will always be able to perform weaknesses breaks. So yeah she's the smart choice based on my current account roster.
As a Sampo enjoyer, I would argue that although debuffs might not work all the time, that's because they are designed as counters, not one-size-fit-alls. One such example is Sampo in the mid-game - he carried me through Kafka's boss fight while Bronya could not deal as much damage in my defensive-centric comp. Sampo is an edge case, you might say, but his low investment decent return could be quite attractive to players
This could've been summarized in 1 Minute: You got Gepard or Bailu with some Dps Character's ? Get Silver Wolf. You don't have Gepard or Bailu ? Get Luocha. You don't care about either ? Get Kafka or Blade in 1.2. Simple.
That what i do ... i've bailu as my 1st 5 * and got gepard in jing banner and i don't have a single debuff unit ... so i need silver . Luo isn't need for me even if this is our god otto ...
Regardless of the healing or attack potential for Luocha, cleanse is extremely powerful in games like this, so for me he feels like a long term must pick for that fact alone (it also doesn't help that I have a healer bias 😅).
“I hope that you pull for character you want to get, bot because content creator including myself, tell you to pull for these characters” ...that’s why I love your channel. It’s always in “fact and suggestion” tone, not “hype and command”, while always remind us to play with our conscience in tact. :)
New healer has been confirmed named Lynx she's a 4 star healer that will most likely come out around winter or next year. She is the younger sister of Gepard and Serval. If you don't wanna wait that long for a healer get Luocha
Bonus note: Pela with Eidolons is EXTREMELY good for Mono Ice teams, especially with Yanqing (and even boosting March/Gepard's lower DMG). At either E2 or E4, using her skill lowers Ice RES on enemies (alongside her base skill of removing one enemy buff, which is great for Elite Enemies). If you add enough effect hit rate, she can also decrease enemy DEF even with her normals (I think this is also in her Eidolons, not sure tho)
Good video, great advice. Pull for the characters that you like the design, animation, or gameplay, don't be a meta slave. I know I will be pulling for Loucha (I already have Bailu) and Blade. Loucha is playable Otto, the most loved villain in HI3, and his aoe cleanse is something that you always need. Blade, for me, has the best in-game animation. I don't care about Kafka or underaged Bronya.
Based on what I have learned from Genshin, pull characters that attracts you the most from their design/playstyle. Not META. If you love the character, you will try to min/max them as much as you can, which maybe become better than those meta characters. I have neglected many meta characters in genshin just because i don't really love them. (I build them, but not so perfect) Im pulling for SW for design. But, I also had a feeling she will receive Kazuha treatment where she become valuable later on.
I think debuffing is something to look forward to, other turn-based games when goes through powercreep starts to depend on debuffing, def break, control and DOT (specially the dots based on enemy HP%), so I’ll be getting characters that focus on that cause I feel it in my guts that StarRail may be going on the same path. But, I’ll get Luocha next patch cause he looks good.
1. It's already a rule of Thumb that Debuffs will always be inferior than Buffs. Other than the reasons you mention is that they don't carried over if the targets dead 2. Yeah that's the important part that I feel people are forgetting. Healers are supposed to always stay alive for them to do their job. Yes, Luocha has Damage Reduction, but only against STs. Last I check, Bosses have no shortage of them doing adjacent attack to your party 3. Honestly the gripe I have from the banner is not having Yukong on Silverwolf because doing so, Players can have a chance of getting both Imaginary and Quantum if they can go all in 4. Kafka as far as I can remember is a DoT DPS like Sampo with her kit focusing on immediately deals DoT without waiting for the Enemy's Turn. Blade is in a simpler way, a Wind Hu Tao and you're gonna need to actually babysit him.
Blade's kit has been out for a bit and well, he benefits the most from Luocha's kit due to Luocha's kit for healing not being skill point dependent. While Luocha isn't the most optimal for sheer healing, his aggressive style is exactly what you'll want for someone like Blade and as for Silverwolf, like you said she's best serving those already looking into quantum. Which for anyone who has Seele and Quinque will see use from as her debuff chance to match goes up, which the idea does exist via Asta's lightcone for any harmony user matching their dps unit such as Tingyun & Jing. Kafka is as you said, DoT damage, so if the other 3 aren't of interest, she may be the one. And for anyone who may not be aware, shielding Blade actually makes him weaker. He is very much wind Hu Tao, so he needs to be hit and hit hard to get his damage off. Guy's edge translates to his kit.
Just wanted to point out that ur first point isn't entirely true. Blade will benefit from debuffers more bc his abilities largely scale off his hp rather than atk.
point 1 always depends on content. if the enemy is a tank then it really doesnt matter ir it does or doesnt carry over. Also, even look at genshin as an example, shred is very valuble and is why the VV artifact set is so OP. So point 1 is just nonsense.
Silver Wolf is a luxury for me…i still want her for my HI3 Valkyrie theme (Bronya, Seele and Himeko) but i need Luocha more…dispelling debuffs and 2nd healer is something i need more… Also Luocha seems to be an offensive healer too…which gives a different team build dynamic…
I have Welt with S2 LC, the thing is, if you have his signature LC, you can effectively put crit rate body piece on him and he deals a lot of damage due to his signature LC. Not to mention, his trace that provide additional damage if the enemies are suffering from his debuff.
I'm definitely pulling for Silver Wolf because Bronie. I also was lucky enough to get Seele and Bailu so I wouldn't be needing another healer for a while. And while I want to tackle MoC, I still need time to build my teams. My biggest problem is the 4*. I really want Yukong but being on the second banner kinda sucks. And Quigque since she looks fun but again, second banner.
because of this, i ammore compelled to put luocha (im guaranteed because JING YUAN WONT COME HOME AND IM ALREADY 71/90) and gepard in the same team, since luocha's healing is atk based so maybe he can also supplement some damage 😅
Guys remember one thing after them we are getting Kafka Blade and Danheng banner back to back. Soo if anyone wants imaginary dps dan heng fits that rolee. Both Dan heng and blade has huge dps along with Jing Liu the Ice destruction, all are hp scaling berserk. For me I am waiting for topaz the Fire hunt.
I think that Silverwolf is bad currently but later on will become a menace. Mainly in mono team build (quantum) and maybe duo element. After all the weakness application is only good if your dps and team can make use of it. So once we get more quantum characters, she will be a menace who can constantly apply debuffs while giving easy breaks which might make her a monster. So yeah once we have enough characters for mono build, effect hit rate and mono quantum build might destroy everything in the way. Duo elemental team is currently the second best build for her but I think right now those builds are either Physical/quantum or lightning/quantum and struggles along a bit more. I say this because you can have Bailou and Natasha as healers so your automatically locked into those options and then with qingque being so skill hungry you'll rely on characters that aren't skill point dependent like Arlan (so you use hp instead of points) and clara (so you have a tank that constantly pumps out attacks), which again demands a healer. In the end the build is more last till big damage using debuffs. I do think that Quantum/imaginary will be the next duo element team since Luchio will be introduced as a healer which introduces speed/debuf build if you have welt (or Yukong since you can get her free). Since then you can keep slowing/pushing back enemy action which in turn allows more free damage and keep debuffing them at the same time. However once more the issue comes in the form of getting lucky in the gacha to get a character that isn't skill hungry, a healer of the element you want and if you want a mono quantum build, getting those quantum characters and hoping they get a healer and a tank.
At first I thought I'd skip with no hesitation Luocha, since I got Bailu as my first 5*. Now, I see a lof of reasons to pull him : 1. Future proof thanks to both buff and debuff cleanse 2. auto-healing, so SP friendly 3. better DMG and break than other healers This alone makes him not only better in end game contents, but also WAY better while playing story (and I like having fun while playing story, and not just smashing everything with a broken DPS). Playing a healer there always feels like a waste, but with an offensive/cleanse healer like him, it should feel great. And then, his voice and animations are amazing. Now, I just hope his lore is as nice as it's supposed to be (Otto can't be a mere nice doctor). As for SW, however, here are the issues I have with her : 1. Only works on mono targets. The moment there are more than 2 big targets, she loses a lot of value. 2. Only works with specific elements, that is the same as your healer. Otherwise, you take the risk of giving a weakness you don't need. Looks like she can't give a weakness the enemy alreasy has, so if you're playing her, with Bailu and 2 fire characters, and the target already has Quantum and Thunder weaknesses, then that would make 100% fire weakness on it. Nothing says it works that way in the description (especially since it's now explicitly written "if the enemy already has that weakness, DMG RES reduction will not be triggered"), but if it does, then she could get some flexibility. 3. She's basically allowing you to play any character whoever the enemy is... And that means not having any reason to build weaker characters with better coverage against specific enemies. I know it's not meta, but I don't want to think "no point in using Sushang/Himeko/put your favourite DPS character here, SW + Seele will work just better". That wouldn't be fun to me. Will she be meta? I'm sure of it. Will she be a fun character? I guess it depends on what kind of fun you're looking for, but she might be the kind of characters who actually removes a lot of freshness from the roster.
I like your thinking, and is definitely a better comparison than the video. Gacha Gamer just ignored Luocha's whole kit and just reduced him to: "Just a replacement healer"
@@janbertguerrero6988 Thank you for that nice comment :) Actually a lot of players just focus on "Luocha is a must pull if you don't have Bailu", and not enough on what makes it a good character outside being a healer. I really think he has more to provide than a 2nd healer to players who couldn't get Bailu. I guess it's a bet, but to be honest, all of our pulls are for now. We have no way to know how much future proof Seele and JY will be, so basically, any player pulling on them has to bet on the fact that no character will beat them as DPS.
I'll be honest, I was going for the husbando team anyways, but looking into blade and loucha They work TOGETHER SO WELL. My suggestion save up for them both to combo with them. My reasoning. Blades skills lower his health (and heal him depending what u use) but his ult i believe lowers him to 50%. WHICH triggers loucha's passive which will heal. So a character using health to fight will never go to low, and when loucha's passive is back up he'll get a top up. Because with blade it more so matter if his health is altered 5 times i believe which is up and down either way. btw sorry if my info is off slightly, but husbando team is my goal, but i figured to share my reasoning to.
I'll be pulling for Luocha myself. I do not have a Gepard or Bailu, so I'm lacking in the sustainability department with only March 7th/Fire Trailblazer and Natasha. While I think Silver Wolf looks cool and I wouldn't mind having her, the fact that her banner is first means I won't really try for it so I can be more guaranteed of getting Luocha without breaking my bank. I might do a couple pulls but I'm usually not lucky and need to hit pity so I anticipate my pulls will just get me closer to pity for Luocha.
Memory of Chaos is far from my mind right now so I'm going Silver Wolf followed by Fu Xuan and will wait for another 4* healer of Quantum element. I love quantum and want a mono team, end of the day I won't enjoy the game if I don't pull the characters I like best. :)
I really don't mind getting either of the next 5*s, but I think I may need another healer and an Imaginary unit. I guess I'll make do with Pela's def shred for now. (Silverwolf's elemental weakness could be really sweet tho)
In terms of SW, its like compare a stick with a rock. Yes, she doesn't has 100% of landing a debuf, but it can be fixed with just 100%+ effect hit rate. Yes, her basic attack, if I remember right, has a 60% base chance of landing a debuf, BUT she literally hits much harder then hyper carry (if both of them are e6), she also shreds HALF of enemy defence just with her ult and makes any type of damage 10% more effective with her skill. She is extremely good and compare her with Ting, for example, is stupid, since the obly thing they do the same way is supporting your team, like preservation and abundance characters. What is more, we will probably see extremely tough enemies with billions of defence and then SW would be 3 times better then any harmony character. On the other hand, she isnt that effective against weak enemies, here Harmony is better, but such enemies might be perished with just carry efforts
I'm considering whether or not to pull for Luocha but the thing is, I'm not that into his character. Not like Dragon Dan Heng. But I needed to be sure of my choice for skipping at least 6 banners (1.0 - 1.2 update) until his banner comes out. And with your last advice at the end, I can confirm, I'll wait till Dragon Dan Heng comes out. I have thoughts to try and clear memory of chaos since I could never be brave enough to do genshin's spiral abyss, but I'm in no hurry to do it since my characters are still within lvl 60, so, I can keep things casual till I know my characters can shine in memory of chaos.
I'm in the same boat as you pretty much. I'm obsessed with Dan Heng's final form, so I'm 100% pulling him and I also want his signature probably. But it is kinda rough to skip so many banners... I pulled Jing and his signature and now just planning to save...
I'm waiting for the vids to come out but I think that we are underestimating how consistent we can get with SW. If we consider an enemy with 40% resistance and SW's skill at level 8 having an 81.25% base hit rate to inflict a weakness implant, we will need 100% more bonus EHR to get an almost guaranteed proc: 81.25x(1+1.0)x(1-0.4) = 97.5% This seems like a lot, but we can achieve that with the event lightcone (40%), body (43.2%), SW minor traces (~15%), and a couple other EHR rolls on artifacts. This is going to basically guarantee her implant and ult debuff. In either case... Luocha appears to be mandatory. Which really fucking sucks. Thanks Hoyoverse. I'm not pulling for him because I dislike his character and design, so I'll just go sit in the corner while everyone else clears MoC I guess🤷♂
I say this all the time but you dont have to sink skill points on qq. You should only do that if you want her damage boost because she'll get 4 of a kind just from basic and passing.
im gonna go for silver wolf, if i lose the 50/50 I'll pull on luochas banner till I have yukong and then save my 50/50 plus the pity I've built up for kafka
The difficult-to-find-healer situation is by design. I send a complaint ticket to Mihoyo about survival problem in Memory of Chaos and ask why the hell one of two existing healers is a hard-to-get 5 star when the Memory of Chaos requires two teams with survival pressure. They just auto reply me that "we heard you". The ticket was sent before Jingyuan banner. The problem still has no sign of resolving. I guess they just treat F2P players like Extras who boost heavily paid players' ego. Why care their opinions? When I pay a lot in Genshin, at least they reply my tickets with human.
You see, with Silver wolf i can see myself building a mono team, mono quantum for example. With 4 characters hitting the enemy weakness at the same time, they’ll break in no time, stunning them=more survivability. Also i think this would make a break focused character more versatile on their element target, i cleared floor 5 as F2P only because i rely on break effect characters. I’ll certainly pull her because that would be interesting imo. Clearing MoC is a second thought anyway, you’re not losing much. You’ll be able to do it eventually even without Bailu, there‘s no way they’re not making more 4 star healers in the future, even then there’s probably a way to brute force it with time.
If you’re gonna add her on your team, maybe you should consider not adding a healer especially bailu cause there’s a 25/100 chance that the element that she gonna put on the enemy is the same as bailu then you need to retry that cause bailu focuses on healing and the damage is so weak. But if you got JY and you have seele then you cna have a powerful team, if SW changed the element same as bailu your jing yuan can be a big clutch then if she changed it to same as seele then both SW and seele can be a life changer
I will also build mono quantum with my Seele, but that will take awhile because I will need Fu Xuan and Lynx. With full quantum set, that's another -40% DEF for the enemy
my problem with silver wolf is that her weakness debuff is random I can´t choose which element weakness I want, why is this a thing?! the game is simple enough give me something I can choose it is turn based
If she can choose wtv element she want the game is gonna evolve around her why would u want a character that dominate for so long and that will hurt hoyo financially thats why they dont give what you want
Because there will eventually be mono teams. Asta's light cone plays into this and is especially great with Tingyun with Jing. It's still early, but eventually it won't be surprising to see a mono quantum team as Having say her with either Seele or Quinque means that the chance of random element declining as you raise the chances of quantum going up. Plus, gambling in quantum is a thing thanks to the rng unit thta is quinque.
One thing, 99% of players have no resources to max up all characters yet. In the future however, when all our characters are already Level 80, their defense and HP also increase, and tbus will not need much healing compared to the current situation.
You need both heals and cleanse abilities, since dots stack and can get applied on AoE, bypassing tanks. Having your main dps lose 50% of their health per turn is not something you can just outgear.
Number wise, Boss Characters like Gepard, Svarog and Kafka only have a effect resist of 50%. Silverwolf is a good pull for several reasons. One, the 4 star event lightcone suits her perfectly and gives 40% effect hit rate adding this to her traces and potential builds her debuffs hit more the energy regen is a nice bonus. Second the ability to install a new weakness is a rule breaker, it allows different team comps and with only a limited roster of character to build and have built, a new weakness allows characters incompatable to enemy weakness to deal more dmg as it lowers the RES to that type of dmg (element). Lastly, how her debuffs work is from any of the three possible actions, basic atk, skill or ult. Meaning while she does dmg she can also debuff the enemy, additionally it can happen when a break occurs, not to mention the debuffs last a while, meaning no action she takes is singular in purpose. Basic atk = dmg, skill point regen, debuff potential. Skill = new weakness, res of both dmg and effect RES lowered, good dmg. Ult = high dmg, with 100% base chance (@ Lvl 10) to lower enemy def by 45%. Like a hot knife cutting butter. What do you guys think?
I knew HSR for Luocha MMD - Love Dive and I said to myself, DAMN that's some cool char design, no matter what he does I will have him, then I realized that he was also the model of the best villian in HI(that I didn't play). Now knowing that Luocha is pretty much healer, imaginary breaker(that will go great with Welt that I have, Yukong that is on his same banner), AoE dispeller, cleanse allies, indirect healing(2 stacks instead of 3 now), AoE burst Dmg, scales with ATT as 5*s his healing should be "enough/better than Nat or Bailu", sub dps since he scales with ATT you can add crit and more, skill positive since he doesn't need to heal that much. If he is fast enough can use the F2P LC that gives energy and you can stack through time without Gacha. But yeah I'm pulling for him mostly for his looks/skills the rest is just a bonus and for sure he will never leave any of the 2 teams. Even when Yukong will be "free" for 1.2 her cons are amazing to go for sure, I will stop as soon Luocha comes (0/90 100% atm with 80 wishes) or try his C1 that gives 20% att to all enemies just to be in the group. 😁
silver wolf can literally focus on effect hit rate, she's meant to be paired with hypercarries (esp seele bc siwolf is literally just another bronya). like literally just build EHR and ER, u dont need atk def hp yada yada because siwolf's entire schtick is debuffing so u want those to proc every time, shes not meant for damage etc
That and specifically Seele & Quinque raise the chance of her debuff being quantum. Especially on beefier targets, she doesn't need to apply it every round, so she can still generate an additional point while Seele & Bronya eats them up. And as more quantum characters come out, Silverwolf becomes a better investment. Similar to Luocha, while not the tankiest healer, his kit better serves endgame where he's there to aid in actually hitting things and for characters like Arlan & Blade: he's far better suited to aiding them. Problem with these type of comments is that they look at the biggest hits, but miss that certain characters are investment characters. Seele is dead brain easy, but if you show someone Silverwolf: you'll want her simply because her debuff means Seele gets to do more damage.
silver wolf leaked kit ahead, so spoiler silver wolf has had most of her debuffing capabilities nerfed, but the base chance for her to apply weaknesses and debuffs through her passive is very high, over 100% base chance iirc. if the event light cone has about 40% effect hit rate at maximum superimpostion, and around 20% from Traces, that's already 60% additional chance to hit her debuffs which is enough for most enemies. giving her an effect hit rate body relic with effect hit rate subs should give her debuffs a 200% chance to hit, so she shouldn't lose out on much if you focus on offensive Stats.
Ngl, I wasn't even planning to try MoC for another 1 patch(trash dmg), and I got bailu and her lightcone and now it looks like I may clear it. She's awesome.
I'm torn cause when i started i wanted silver wolf but Luocha's banner has two essential characters. There's rumors of Yukong being free at 1.2 but that's gonna be a while
I feel like there's never a need to rush to get a character of a specific role. Like, yeah, two healers is necessary for the end of forgotten hall, but that's content for level 50 trailblaze and beyond that a lot of the playerbase won't touch for months or years. I think a lot of people nowadays have a mindset where they feel a need to speedrun all the content in every new game immediately. Forgotten hall and simulated universe aren't going anywhere anytime soon. They're meant to be content supplemental to the rest of the game, not something people need to 100% complete immediately. A lot of players now will take 50-100 hour games, finish them within a week or two, and then say the games have no content or call them dead. If people want to clear the end of forgotten hall asap, more power to them, I'm two-thirds through and need a second team ready myself, and I have level 70 characters, but I'll gladly wait until I have what I need because I plan to play long-term. It gives me something to look forward to later when I have what I need to beat it, and it'll feel all the more satisfying after the wait.
I'll be going for Silver Wolf. She one of my favourites so far and although I don't have Bailhu, I would also like to get her someday if I'm lucky. Either way I'm not to worried about it.
I'm actually pretty dicey about what should I do now. I have bailu, yanqing, himeko as 5 stars and at 64 pity with guarantee. Also have enough wishes to get Jing Yuan. But I thought of getting silver wolf cause her debuff seemed great. But realizing the effect hit rate situation made me kinda confused. I'm a meta slave so I don't really who should be better for me Jing Yuan or Silver wolf. (I have himeko so I thought she could replace Jing Yuan)
If i were in your shoes, i would save for kafka because jing yuan is only good with his signature lightcone as of now or sw if you like to play with a 3 lightning team (serval, ting, bailu). Himeko is underwhelming as of now and we all hope she gets a buff soon.
I think most people (like 90%) of people will try to pull for Kafka, regardless. I mean who doesnt even i want to get her. But i dont know if our stellar jade or even resources could handle that, especially for people who upgrade 8 characters in total for the memories of chaos. I want Luocha for now, next would be Kafka (by far that i want tbh). Other than both of them, i think blade is amazing. Isnt he a destruction unit? Plus a dps. So far my strong dps is Seele. And Sushang in (not even close) second.
in hi3 hoyoverse would use "weather" to augment the abyss floors in the same way that turbulence works in star rail. Why is this relevant? because the weather ALWAYS suites who ever is the new hot unit. So for 1.1 its very likely that nihility and abundance will be strong. I hope people didnt think iot was a coincidence that the current buff was for hunt and erudition.
im probably pulling on luocha’s banner, i have welt and that’s good enough for me. even though i have bailu and natasha. and im pulling for blade. (definitely not pulling because of voidwelt yeah)
As a F2P player i kinda relied on what i got in standard banner. if i got Welt Or yanqing in my standard banner i will pull luocha. but if i got Bailu or Clara, i will pull silver wolf. in clara case is quite different. (well RN i have bronya, seele, and gepard )
Buffs never miss like debuffs do but buffs are usually limited by turns so dps with high speed like seele, who can outspeed the boss by a lot, can exploit the debuffs more times than a buff of the same length. Not a jing yuan haver, but i dont think his stand can be buffed, so debuff is the only way for him to deal more damage per hit.
I have jing yuan and his lightning lord is considered a follow up attack, but it uses a turn from tingyuns buff. The 4pc lightning set also applies to lightning lord
Boutta run Luocha with Bailu regardless tbh since Luocha is not just a Healer, he ACTUALLY does damage and creates a field that will keep healing you as long as it's up. Edit: I also heard he was buffed >.>
You forgot nihility path character isnt supposed to deal a huge amount of damage, they are supposed to debuff enemies same like harmony characters they're only supposed to buff character :/
I lost the 50/50 to Bailou while trying to get jing yuan, which now I see it as a blessing in disguise, I continued pulling and now I'm on 70 pity, I was planning to get Luocha but I guess I better save my pity for Kafka.
There's another thing that isn't as important, probably, but it's still worth considering... until 1.2, if you don't have Welt, Luocha could very well be your only source of weakness break for the Imaginary element, just wanted to put that out there
i'm honestly happy about 1.1's banners cause i don't want either of the two characters. gives me some time to save jades for Blade. (and yes, i know that Blade's good with Luocha. but i don't want him 💀)
As an f2p I haven't got enough stellar jades tbh, I'm gonna pull In all the next 3 banners since there will be characters I like and see how lucky I am, really wanted sushang and tingyun but they had to appear in this banner ;-; hope I get lucky and get silver wolf and fu xuan, that'd be my ideal
2:00 mistake here, Silverwolf's buff is gamba, so if you have a physical carry, and any other elements other than physical and silverwolf in your team, every time it really matters, she'll give them the weakness of your healer or sheilder instead of your dps..
Yes if you run 4 different elements that's a thing ya but if you run a mono or 2 elements that's not an issue also in most situations you have atleast 1 weaknesses matching the enemys so you dont really have to worry
Eidolons and Constelations are the one thing that make me wish Honkai and geshin had some of Blue archive's gacha mechanics: If you have the character you can buy character star up/rank up for side currency you earn from pulls. For example: You've earned (I am using a free banner character as a example as there are not many starrail limiteds yet) Clara, but have only E1 (which is still strong, but look aside from that) and want to have her atleast E4 or 5. well for 1000-3000k Starlights you can buy 1 eidolon for her. That way F2P players won't have to suffer from spending their lifeline to get the same character 5 times.
The sole reason everyone underrates debuffers is the lack of resources. Only the gigawhales that max buy TP everyday can afford to fully build their non-dps characters with high traces and good relics. That means two things: being able to potentially run solo healer/shielder with Gepard or Bailu, and have meaningful damage come from off-damage roles like Silverwolf or Welt. Missing with debuffs will be a complete non issue even for F2P as it's extremely easy to stack effect chance, you just need to know about effect immunities and certain high resistances to avoid making a fool of yourself.
i already have enough effect hit rate on my artifacts ready for silver wolf so even against high end bosses it should be 100% always debuffing and i dont even have a single effect hit rate main stat option so it shouldnt be too much of an issue to worry about
Personally I'm pulling for Luocha While I do love Silver Wolf's aesthetic, I'm one of those people who wants to field a second healer and doesn't have an imaginary char as of yet As well of that, Yukong's kit (boosting crit rate and damage for whole team) along with her ult dealing damage means she'll be a potentially amazing replacement for Tingyun, especially considering how important crit rate and damage can be for your DPS chars . So yeah, I might pull for Silver Wolf if she gets a rerun but I wanna pull for Luocha, if only because while Silver Wolf seems to be based on Bronie, Luocha could be the Void Archives and is undoubtedly an Otto Variant at the least. THE COLLECTION OF IMPACT CHARS CONTINUES ~~Ignore the fact the only Impact Chars I have are Seele and Sushang~~
Memory of chaos is 600 jade and some exp, money, lc exp if you clear it entirely. That is 3.75 pulls every 2 weeks? Not worth pulling for a character you don't enjoy. I don't do abyss in genshin and I probably won't do Memory for a while in this game. Pulling for Fu Xuan myself because I want smol angry pink waifu.
dot needs effect hit, not a big deal if you build up on that + trace and E1-6 depending on the character. For Simulated Universe, its a 0 issue. Memory though..... You basically covered everything.
SW is a great character, she's not just a debuffer, but also a sub-DPS. And she's super cute. However, she's not the best pull for the first banner. SW enables and shines in mono-element teams, particularly full Quant team when Fu Xuan comes along. Right now however, we have too few characters to take full advantage of her kit. It's good if you get her, but not must have. Well, depending on her numbers she might turn out to be OP, if she can easily hit very high hit rate without sacrificing all the dmg. Also, depending how good her damage is, you can drop a sub-dps character for her, and run SW-Harm-Healer-Main DPS. Luocha is probably the more likely option to pull, given how good his healing seems to be, but there's the problem of his seemingly low HP. Unless his self heal is good enough, he won't survive long enough, and there's the problem of oneshots. Hopefully, they'll give us another 4 star healer in 1.2. Possibly with Blade, given he's an HP burner. Because right now you have to pray you win Dragon-Qiqi from your free pulls on the standard banner.
wait didnt people ever played other turn base games? like debuffing its not a new thing we all know it can fail to land. but for example in epic7 landing an armor break for example can make ur dps unit hit way more dmg with or without a buff. we just need to wait and see how she's going to be
Almost everyone else is like: "Yes, yes, you gotta pull for 1.1 characters, they are totally must have!". So it's really refreshing to hear another point of view, thanks.
I'd sit tight on both of these 5 characters for the time being. Theory versus application is a different ball park. Hell I remember when Gacha Gamer did his first tier list of Genshin Characters and Bennett was in fucking B and Xinqiu in A with Qiqi in SS. And that was even WITH those characters EXISTING in the game. Making videos on potential uses is kind of pointless till they are actually tested.
I'm going to pull for Silverwolf until I get the 5-star pull... It's currently 50/50, but hit or miss, I'll save for Luocha banner because I could use an imagination character of some kind. I won't be upset if I lose 50/50 and get Clara though 😅
Tbh i already have E5 Natasha with her signature sp4 While as for seele i have her with signature too So not that this was already enough for me to pull her but i got geopard while also having 50 pity in limited on top of that(makes me less care about the 4 stars on her banner) Its 100% Silverwolf for Me Good luck to everyone who pull her along lets not forgot about lucha too haha Good luck to yall too Also btw the quantum set just looks to be tailor made for her Hope they someday make one for loucha too but i doubt that tbh
i dont think loucha scalling of attk is such a big of a deal as EVERYONE is saying, your dps scales of atk and they are surviving are they not? unless yall slapping HP% on your dps instead, he is also not a tank??
Luocha would be a good investment for me as a f2p who mains Natasha as the main healer (she's struggling) but maybe I'd wait for Kafka instead. I was 12 warps away from getting Jing Yuan who's a very very good dps
Am I weird that I actually use pela and welt often? Sure, Nihility can miss with their debuffs, but unlike buffers, they always will have damage (or gauge break) contributions on top of it.

@@RedRose13777 you need a second healer or gepard for memory of chaos as you need 2 teams I am assuming your pulling luocha
Well.. Nihility characters maybe don't have 100% success rate to land debuffs (because of enemy effect res), but they have damage on their kit. Not only merely debuff skills without damage. Maybe that is the balance compensation.
enough effect hit rate guarantees debuffs
Even if we have to build nihility units with effect hit rate, and have them do less damage, they will still out dps harmony units who are rarely built for damage and rarely do their damaging abilities.
Something to note is that Silver Wolf's debuff is NOT included in Effect Res, this means that SW's effect hit rate is a "true" hit rate
@@lincoln9498 is not true hit rate, the skill description said base rate, it means that the enemy can counter it with effect resistance, either way building hit rate on them would most likely guarantee it to hit so that is least of the worry
@@killagenshinabyss As i mentioned prior, effect res does not include SW's weakness debuff
Yall forgotten that debuff might not be 100% but their dmg is 100% in comparison to harmony characters that only buff with the only exception being Asta
good point
Also harmony buffs can only go so far till you hit diminishing returns with high invested maxed characters while debuffing adds a fresh new multiplier into the damage calc.
@@xRuiNga buffing doesnt miss
Except ur gonna build debuffers like Pela and SW with effect hit rate chestpiece and spd boots so ur "dmg" would be shit anyway. Don't forget in high memory of chaos, enemies have an insane amount of effect resist so without any effect hit rate, you gonna be missing alot of debuffs lol.
@@joaquinchua3348 it really depends some people reset for the perfect run especially at how difficult it is right now compared to our gear just having good enough stats and then resetting for a good run might make it easier but take longer.

2к+ shields for everyone 😄
I have both but I still want Luoca 😂
Problem is, I don't have them both 💀
March 7, especially if you went for this last banner, also has a small amount of healing in her skill in one of her eidelons.
Pela Eidolon also increase energy gain when defeating enemy.
if you want a sub dps that acutally does damage. Get Kafka, she's too good on MoC's harder stages. Especially with Asta, Nat and Seele

Lynx, who is a 4 star quantum healer, is coming in 1.2. You can have your full quantum team by that time: Seele, Qingque, Silver Wolf, and Lynx.

Simple.

@@williamawesomeness7200😂😂
Okay literally tho
Based on what I have learned from Genshin, pull characters that attracts you the most from their design/playstyle. Not META. If you love the character, you will try to min/max them as much as you can, which maybe become better than those meta characters. I have neglected many meta characters in genshin just because i don't really love them. (I build them, but not so perfect)
Im pulling for SW for design. But, I also had a feeling she will receive Kazuha treatment where she become valuable later on.
I agree with you, but i think kazuha has always been valuable. I got him the moment he was released and never regretted getting him
I think debuffing is something to look forward to, other turn-based games when goes through powercreep starts to depend on debuffing, def break, control and DOT (specially the dots based on enemy HP%), so I’ll be getting characters that focus on that cause I feel it in my guts that StarRail may be going on the same path. But, I’ll get Luocha next patch cause he looks good.
1. It's already a rule of Thumb that Debuffs will always be inferior than Buffs. Other than the reasons you mention is that they don't carried over if the targets dead
2. Yeah that's the important part that I feel people are forgetting. Healers are supposed to always stay alive for them to do their job. Yes, Luocha has Damage Reduction, but only against STs. Last I check, Bosses have no shortage of them doing adjacent attack to your party
3. Honestly the gripe I have from the banner is not having Yukong on Silverwolf because doing so, Players can have a chance of getting both Imaginary and Quantum if they can go all in
We’re gonna get yukong for free I’m an event!
Just wanted to point out that ur first point isn't entirely true. Blade will benefit from debuffers more bc his abilities largely scale off his hp rather than atk.
bro where did you read that luocha has dmg reduction lol
point 1 always depends on content. if the enemy is a tank then it really doesnt matter ir it does or doesnt carry over. Also, even look at genshin as an example, shred is very valuble and is why the VV artifact set is so OP. So point 1 is just nonsense.
Silver Wolf is a luxury for me…i still want her for my HI3 Valkyrie theme (Bronya, Seele and Himeko) but i need Luocha more…dispelling debuffs and 2nd healer is something i need more…
Also Luocha seems to be an offensive healer too…which gives a different team build dynamic…
Pull for you who you want wince you'll enjoy the game more that way. I always pulled for the characters i needed and i got burnt out of genshin
And Quigque since she looks fun but again, second banner.
good thing Yukong is going to be a free character. But I still want Luocha for the memes

I'm waiting for Jingliu and Dan but i thought he would be wind 😀 my elemental coverage just took a hit. I really need silver wolf.
I rly want Luocha since the very beginning of the game thanks to his JP VA's ..... But more E for Dan Heng must be nice 😭 being F2P is hard ;-;
Now, I see a lof of reasons to pull him :
1. Future proof thanks to both buff and debuff cleanse
2. auto-healing, so SP friendly
3. better DMG and break than other healers
This alone makes him not only better in end game contents, but also WAY better while playing story (and I like having fun while playing story, and not just smashing everything with a broken DPS). Playing a healer there always feels like a waste, but with an offensive/cleanse healer like him, it should feel great.
And then, his voice and animations are amazing. Now, I just hope his lore is as nice as it's supposed to be (Otto can't be a mere nice doctor).
As for SW, however, here are the issues I have with her :
@@janbertguerrero6988 Thank you for that nice comment :)
Actually a lot of players just focus on "Luocha is a must pull if you don't have Bailu", and not enough on what makes it a good character outside being a healer.
@@splatypus763 Exactly! People forget his entire kit and reduces him to "just another healer"
Because with blade it more so matter if his health is altered 5 times i believe which is up and down either way. btw sorry if my info is off slightly, but husbando team is my goal, but i figured to share my reasoning to.

i just started playing a few days ago but i already know i'm gonna save for Kafka, using her at the beginning got me hooked.
I pulled Jing and his signature and now just planning to save...
brother, why do u need bravery to attempt completing a video game level esp when it's not horror but looks like a kid game?
Pulling for Luocha solely because Otto is one of my favourite villains
so true
"Every night brings a dream but the day relentlessly keeps me awake" 😭😭😭 Good luck to all of us who pulling for him, dears 💛
I'm waiting for the vids to come out but I think that we are underestimating how consistent we can get with SW. If we consider an enemy with 40% resistance and SW's skill at level 8 having an 81.25% base hit rate to inflict a weakness implant, we will need 100% more bonus EHR to get an almost guaranteed proc: 81.25x(1+1.0)x(1-0.4) = 97.5%
This seems like a lot, but we can achieve that with the event lightcone (40%), body (43.2%), SW minor traces (~15%), and a couple other EHR rolls on artifacts.
"let the people from past stay in the past" - otto apocalypse
thus, I will save my resource for mommy kafka 🛐
7:56 Finally being able to say Qingque's name must be satisfying xD
Some enemies have 40% resistance to specific elements, adding a weakness won't change that. Mono teams are a myth.
ooo
If you’re gonna add her on your team, maybe you should consider not adding a healer especially bailu cause there’s a 25/100 chance that the element that she gonna put on the enemy is the same as bailu then you need to retry that cause bailu focuses on healing and the damage is so weak. But if you got JY and you have seele then you cna have a powerful team, if SW changed the element same as bailu your jing yuan can be a big clutch then if she changed it to same as seele then both SW and seele can be a life changer
@@katacutie she also reduces enemy resistance to the elements
I will also build mono quantum with my Seele, but that will take awhile because I will need Fu Xuan and Lynx. With full quantum set, that's another -40% DEF for the enemy
my problem with silver wolf is that her weakness debuff is random I can´t choose which element weakness I want, why is this a thing?! the game is simple enough give me something I can choose it is turn based
If she can choose wtv element she want the game is gonna evolve around her why would u want a character that dominate for so long and that will hurt hoyo financially thats why they dont give what you want
@ShogunGG Esay fix, one-year wait list just like Kaedehara Kazuha (even though he's isn't as important as before, Kusonaly is queen
@@basty_gaming5750 making kazuha and bennet were their biggest mistakes haha
One thing, 99% of players have no resources to max up all characters yet. In the future however, when all our characters are already Level 80, their defense and HP also increase, and tbus will not need much healing compared to the current situation.
He went over that in the video, his characters still get deleted.
Still healers are important u r guaranteed to lose hp in this game so its not that easy to clear harder content without them
You need both heals and cleanse abilities, since dots stack and can get applied on AoE, bypassing tanks. Having your main dps lose 50% of their health per turn is not something you can just outgear.
oo
silver wolf can literally focus on effect hit rate, she's meant to be paired with hypercarries (esp seele bc siwolf is literally just another bronya). like literally just build EHR and ER, u dont need atk def hp yada yada because siwolf's entire schtick is debuffing so u want those to proc every time, shes not meant for damage etc
say that to hoyoverse who nerfed her debuffs and buffed her damage...
I'm still building her as damage with hitrate, her burst multiplier is decent and lots of nihility lc offer dmg% bonus
maybe she have scaling similar to Welt even you build him with effect and energy charge he still hit hard. I'm not interested in leak so idk.
silver wolf leaked kit ahead, so spoiler
silver wolf has had most of her debuffing capabilities nerfed, but the base chance for her to apply weaknesses and debuffs through her passive is very high, over 100% base chance iirc.
if the event light cone has about 40% effect hit rate at maximum superimpostion, and around 20% from Traces, that's already 60% additional chance to hit her debuffs which is enough for most enemies.
giving her an effect hit rate body relic with effect hit rate subs should give her debuffs a 200% chance to hit, so she shouldn't lose out on much if you focus on offensive Stats.
I'm dedicated to getting Kafka, 70 Pulls and counting!
why is everyone ignoring Luocha's ult removes buffs😅
One of his skills also cleanse one debuff to a teammate
Himeko is underwhelming as of now and we all hope she gets a buff soon.
i appreciate that you're also just a good person at the end there, good on you dude
The main reason why I want silver wolf was for weakness implant in the first place, so I’ll still pull for her
I think most people (like 90%) of people will try to pull for Kafka, regardless.
Silverwolf sassy walk at the start of the trailer was enough for me to pull for her.
As a F2P player i kinda relied on what i got in standard banner. if i got Welt Or yanqing in my standard banner i will pull luocha. but if i got Bailu or Clara, i will pull silver wolf. in clara case is quite different. (well RN i have bronya, seele, and gepard )
i do have bailu but i want luocha because i like his design and he's a imaginary element although i do have weltz too lolz
If you get loucha and yukong you can have a full imaginary team.
@Alexander Luna where's the 4th one lol
@@catsarecooIl In our imagination
@@josebutereselreal you got it heheh
This is good. I wanted to get silver wolf simply coz she looks cool, but this give me the mindset needed when i will use her.
Yes that is right.
I lost the 50/50 to Bailou while trying to get jing yuan, which now I see it as a blessing in disguise, I continued pulling and now I'm on 70 pity, I was planning to get Luocha but I guess I better save my pity for Kafka.
If my debuffs do not land, I simply just restart if it's not too far in the activity
There's another thing that isn't as important, probably, but it's still worth considering... until 1.2, if you don't have Welt, Luocha could very well be your only source of weakness break for the Imaginary element, just wanted to put that out there
you forgot yukong
@@Kittysune12 that's what I mean by "until 1.2" :) If you want yukong before the free 1.2 copy, you'll need to pull in Luocha's banner
Yep and high resistance monster on high level floor MoS
So many enemies have dangerous debuff, Freeze, burn, etc. Still no immunity healer
i'm honestly happy about 1.1's banners cause i don't want either of the two characters. gives me some time to save jades for Blade.
Eidolons and Constelations are the one thing that make me wish Honkai and geshin had some of Blue archive's gacha mechanics:
If you have the character you can buy character star up/rank up for side currency you earn from pulls.
For example:
You've earned (I am using a free banner character as a example as there are not many starrail limiteds yet) Clara, but have only E1 (which is still strong, but look aside from that) and want to have her atleast E4 or 5. well for 1000-3000k Starlights you can buy 1 eidolon for her. That way F2P players won't have to suffer from spending their lifeline to get the same character 5 times.
i havent even cleared the iniitial memory of chaos to unlock the weekly one, so an extra healer is definitely on higher priority
Missing with debuffs will be a complete non issue even for F2P as it's extremely easy to stack effect chance, you just need to know about effect immunities and certain high resistances to avoid making a fool of yourself.
i already have enough effect hit rate on my artifacts ready for silver wolf so even against high end bosses it should be 100% always debuffing and i dont even have a single effect hit rate main stat option so it shouldnt be too much of an issue to worry about
i dont think he even considered the fact that in the long run itll be easy to have 100% effect hit rate when gearing lmao
Personally I'm pulling for Luocha
While I do love Silver Wolf's aesthetic, I'm one of those people who wants to field a second healer and doesn't have an imaginary char as of yet
As well of that, Yukong's kit (boosting crit rate and damage for whole team) along with her ult dealing damage means she'll be a potentially amazing replacement for Tingyun, especially considering how important crit rate and damage can be for your DPS chars .
Because right now you have to pray you win Dragon-Qiqi from your free pulls on the standard banner.
wait didnt people ever played other turn base games? like debuffing its not a new thing we all know it can fail to land. but for example in epic7 landing an armor break for example can make ur dps unit hit way more dmg with or without a buff. we just need to wait and see how she's going to be
There is effect hit rate stats to help you with debuffs.
Almost everyone else is like: "Yes, yes, you gotta pull for 1.1 characters, they are totally must have!". So it's really refreshing to hear another point of view, thanks.
i only pull 1.1 because of SW, gonna skip kafka and blade, need to save some jade for Fu Xuan to make my quantum only team lmao
You'll be getting yukong who is an imaginary buffer for free. Also something to consider
oo
Why do you want Clara so much (not malicious)
Tbh i already have E5 Natasha with her signature sp4
While as for seele i have her with signature too
So not that this was already enough for me to pull her but i got geopard while also having 50 pity in limited on top of that(makes me less care about the 4 stars on her banner)
Its 100% Silverwolf for Me
Good luck to everyone who pull her along
lets not forgot about lucha too haha
Good luck to yall too
Also btw the quantum set just looks to be tailor made for her
Hope they someday make one for loucha too but i doubt that tbh
i dont think loucha scalling of attk is such a big of a deal as EVERYONE is saying, your dps scales of atk and they are surviving are they not? unless yall slapping HP% on your dps instead, he is also not a tank??
Thabk you for the helpful insight
"You can not clear memory of chaos without 2 healers"
Me and my destruction path trailblazer are nervously looking around snickering ^_^
Luocha would be a good investment for me as a f2p who mains Natasha as the main healer (she's struggling) but maybe I'd wait for Kafka instead.
I was 12 warps away from getting Jing Yuan who's a very very good dps
She will have free light cone with effect hit rate. Or paid one with even more effect hit rate.
Am I weird that I actually use pela and welt often? Sure, Nihility can miss with their debuffs, but unlike buffers, they always will have damage (or gauge break) contributions on top of it.
