I never did...till a few years ago when people started doing them in a pro touring...street machine way...Then I became a fan...Now I love all of them...I see what they can be...lol
Amazing find Scottie! I've been watching your videos here and there, you're just such a classy respectful guy, very down-to-earth! You help bring the best of street-rods to our screens, and we are so glad you're doin' it man! This car is a great restoration and I love the side-exhaust and angry idle!
I agree....very cool....but I did shoot another one today....more stock looking..but running the new 5.0 Coyote motor...very cool!!...Thanks for stopping by Jeff!
A friend had Maverick grabber with a 302 back in the day. It was a fun car. Then again all the cars were fun back then. We just did not know what they would be worth today. Hence why so many Dodge Chargers died for the Dukes of Hazard. Kinda makes me want to cry. Big drippy man tears. Its also 350 am in the morning and I have been drinking. Nice car with a Cool powerplant. The more offbeat you go the better. If I see another XXX I am going to eat my own brains. Not pointed at you Scottie.
that is one sweetie pie!! ive not seen many of them. possibly none in the flesh here in the UK... colour good... the lines.. whole package.. thanks fr shooting it! the rear end is car Porn!!!!!!!
Scottie, you're right the Maverick is a very underrated muscle car, They kinda get overlooked in the muscle car industry, But not this Maverick, That is one beautiful machine, I lean towards Mopar when it comes to muscle cars, But I would love to own that Maverick, Very nice car!
I had a Maverick years ago, never took pictures, it had the stock 302 auto, hand painted battleship gray, high miles, but still got rubber, one of my more fun cars, for sure!
there was one in a storage place or years until the place closed about 6 months ago, it was a 302 white with blue stripes and a duel air grabber hood, just sitting there. I could never find the place open to talk to anyone. nice cars, never got the attention the rest of the fords had and they were just as fast with aftemarket parts but not many liked them. I like different it makes them unique...
My family owned a green 72 302 automatic, but needless to say it didn't look or act QUITE like this one. We had ours from 72 to 82 then gave it to my aunt, as we had bought an '81 AMC Eagle SX/4 and she needed a car. It ran several more years in her possession. There were a few hot Mavericks around my area;I remember a metallic bronze street machine in my town when I was a kid, and I used to see a clean original red, white and blue '72 Sprint model in a neighboring town up until quite recently.
Just tired of the same car different paint job thing. I like stuff that gets me thinking about something new or unheard of. Keep up the super Cool badass work you do brother. You find the coolest stuff. Other channels are the same car. Different damn paint job.... Hey look, its a Chevy 350. Um they sell aluminum intake manifolds at 7-11 for those things. New piston rings are on isle 5 at Wal-Mart. Local pet shop has a gasket set or two for about 20 bucks. Cheers...
+john allen That just should not be allowed. That little Maverick would be better off with even an original Ford 200 inline six than ANYTHING made by Chevrolet.
bob, I purchased a 72 grabber, 302, yellow/black paint , I went to ford dealer after getting of the plane from Vietnam, seen it bought it , $ 2,550 new of showroom floor. loved it sold it 350.000 mi later for $ 3500.
.....be honest: im not sure about the combo color (for me).., but.....everything else is, simply amazing!!! ...you have good taste for the toys... :) ....peace.
My brother bought one with a blown engine for 100 dollars in 1988 he put a toyota 6 cylinder from a wrecked supra. It seemed to be a good car he sold it for 3500 dollars shortly after that . It was a candy apple red very beautiful.
Did you by chance get any of his info or where he is from? I'm interested in trying to buy this from him. My father had one when I was a kid and I have been searching for years trying to find it.
