In this pilot episode, I invited my friend Bobby Goodson to come out to my site and give me some pointers on how to be successful in logging.
I thought it would be beneficial since he has retired and I am just getting started.

Great show . Looking forward to seeing more. I was born into the logging . Some days I think it's a blessing an other days it's a lesson. I have a small logging outfit . I run two one to trucks with bunks on them an snake logs with 801 Ford tractors. I am proof that it doesn't take a million to lose two million. I got in the business for 8,500 dollars an have made that back multiple times . Hardly any over head other than fuel an tires an the occasional u joint.

At the end of the video Bobby said he was back back home……..Did Bobby like that GMC so good that he drove it back to Jacksonville, NC.
Cheaper to buy that truck and drive it 3½ hours home than buy another plane ticket to a town that's about 4 hours away!?😂😂
That GMC sure must have been something super special since he had such a "long flight" to get there.. That he then drove it "all that way" back home.. (Even though it's only a little over a 3 hours driving distance)

Consulting from veterans of the different skills and trades can probably do a heck of a lot more for this country than going into debt for student loans and graduating with no usable experience. There is no substitute for real world experience. I think they used to have a saying "if you're not sure, ask". I enjoyed the video and hope viewers find the new channel

Hello there Greetings from a retired american west coast logger living in the Philippines. I heard here on this video that you are clearing the land. You can save yourself and your client a lot of time and mony if you push the tree over . That gets to stump out of the ground and then just cut the stump off. if you are falling the tree then coming back and digging out the stump thats a lot of time and mony wasted. . somehing to think about.
1st issue is the gmc. 2nd issue is that dang c model cat cutter 😂😂

you need a block under the back of that 5th wheel to keep it from rocking down like it did, i'm surprised that front boaster isn't getting into the tires when you turn. but that's why the trailer twisted the way it did.
