Just wanted to say that I 1cc’d all the whole-numbered Windows games and beat most extra stage bosses because of your vids. You have no idea how much of a life saver you are
This stage isn't the craziest, but the "See? Stars." gag with Minoriko's boss explosion effect being stars instead of leaves is one of the dumbest gags in the game LMAO Bee wasn't very far off from what actually happened :P
Minoriko looks so grumpy here. And yeah, Shizuha did say something quite profound yet kinda pointless as well in the Rin route, so Tokiko made the correct call here. Also, I tried replaying this game recently, and remembered why I only cleared it once. It's rather difficult on Easy, feels more like Easy-Normal in the beginning and Normal towards the end, didn't even manage to 1CC the game with Rin. Gonna try again next weekend tho. Next stage is where things get rather weird
Probably favorite stage in the game, original and emotional stage theme and whole stage is simple, but pretty. Still surprised HRtP boss theme being arranged here. Tokiko's dialogues are amazing also
Facing Shizuha in this game was the biggest motivator for me listening to the Touhou 1 soundtrack Her boss theme is so good Also both boss characters in this stage are horribly depressed Makes sense, considering... fall Also I'm pretty sure it's in the music comments somewhere that the reason Shizuha's encore was such a massive wake up call is because the devs really liked the remix of the music, but it's too long for a Stage 2 boss, so the encore spell exists so you can hear its entirety I might be wrong though, don't quote me
Shizuha's "last word" is really cool, though somehow it doesn't feel very Touhou-ey. The folks who made this game are good at making _cool_ patterns though, it seems like. I'd love to try dodging "Early Autumnal Dance".

I thought I recognized Magic Mirror from the preview in the last vid. That's a really cool deep cut for a remix, pulling back from Touhou 1.
