That also includes the XMG logo or better them omitting it for a few extra bucks. I'm a freelance copywriter and sometimes I find myself working more than 8 hours per day. So I understand what you mean by saying a comfortable chair. I found mine in Autonomous. All their chairs are ergonomic and fully adjustable for any body shape. I can really recommend my ErgoChair 2, I don't have back pains anymore and my legs feel very relaxed while working. I am a student too and for me there are a few important things on which I don't have to economize. And a good, comfortable chair is one of them, because it has an impact on my health. I've got myself an ergonomic chair at £132 at Autonomous. Check this out. If it works for you, I really advise you to make an investment in a good chair and not just a cheap one.
Happy to see the Crab Rave benchmark made it into this video, pls tell linus to do the same. The gram review didn't have it and I have no idea how good the speakers are.
It would actually be way less interesting because they only put parts in the Tongfang or Clevo barebones, put the keyboard in / laserengrave it, autotest it (software wise) and off it goes to shipping. Besides this there is also a desktop PC building area but this isn't special at all. Probably the most interesting part is where they test new models or repair laptops.
If you have back pain and posture issues I think you MUST invest a little bit more on a really comfortable and ergonomic chair. Steelcase Leap V2 or the Autonomous Ergo Chair 2 are the best choices
You can swap keycaps on all mechanical keyboard and many programmable keyboard will let you change which key is which. So you should be able to remap the keys and swap caps. Also if your into it building your own keyboard can be exciting if not a bit expensive.
Looking at the overlay and the CPU load - they should have added another heatpipe to the CPU, maybe a little more copper overall. On-board speakers are for when you're "checkin the email" and click on an audio ad. Gaming laptop batteries prevent accidental emergency shutdowns -- Larger ones eat up space that could have been used for cooling. The power management interface does look impressive though.
its not about shooters, in almost all games you benefit from 1440p over 4k at this size. The visual difference is miniscule, maybe even unnoticable, but having less than half the gpu load is huge: You can increase the settings, have a smoother gameplay, or a quieter system which is nice in every game
@@mannoesgehtnix oh I can think of a few games where a big resolution makes more sense. Because not all games benefit at all from higher refresh rates. And the games I play it does not matter if the refresh rate is 30 or 300. 4k makes more sense for me
@@mannoesgehtnix You are assuming things and I am still correct. The main reason to stay in 1440p instead of 4k is refresh rate. The games I play benefit more from having more information on the same screen. You get that with 4k. And my own experience is with a laptop. It's very quiet, it maxes out the refresh rate. Now if I get bored I'll play valhalla and it would be better to have a higher refresh rate, but it looks absolutely beautiful in 4k and wearing headphones I don't hear any noise. And with a 2080 super I'm enjoying not having to hunt gpus like everyone else. In my experience 4k is better, any argument you have is one dimensional and ignores my experience which is better in 4k over 1440. And yes I use to have a 1440 screen, and I got way more done. And when I want to split screen a larger 4k screen I have less crashing with alt tabbing in games.
@@kaleckton No, you are putting things in my mouth. Let me quote what I said in my first comment: "in almost all games" you benefit... I play football manager myself which is basically an excel spreadsheet hidden as a game. It can be super useful there, I never said anything against that. And as I said, its not only refresh rate. If you play a game like the witcher where you dont need the best refreh rate, the difference in pixels wont matter to you, but maxing the settings does make an improvement. So let me say it again: In ALMOST all games 1440p is better.
This isn't a Clevo, this is a Tongfang. That's why it feels better - it's not a Clevo. XMG could've told you that if you asked lol Edit: I see at the end of the video you finally corrected it, still tho he said it like 20 times lol

“Black and as non-descript as possible.”
Story of my life...
this guys one of my fav. Rocking the teton grav research shirt may have edged into number 1. cheers guys love all the content.
Anyone else watching him tossing it around and freak out that he's gonna straight drop it?
Nah got used to it at this point lol
He’s not Linus
I like the teardowns and the interior shots of these powerful laptops. It's always interesting.
"the most powerful laptop " has been said a lot on this channel
Because there is continuous improvements to laptops that make this one not the most powerful one in a few months? :D
Technology always get outdated. Last time I heard Zephyrus GX701 was a desktop laptop killer.
Goddamit! Ain't Alex actually a fun and chill dude?
When will you visit XMG in Germany for a factory tour like with Cherry?
It would actually be way less interesting because they only put parts in the Tongfang or Clevo barebones, put the keyboard in / laserengrave it, autotest it (software wise) and off it goes to shipping. Besides this there is also a desktop PC building area but this isn't special at all. Probably the most interesting part is where they test new models or repair laptops.
@@perlsackhd3957 This man knows too much! ☹
Fun fact, it's actually not alooominum it is in fact aluminium.
XMG: *has THX certification*
XPS-15: "And I took that personally..."
😅
Granted, you can boost the sound in the THX Spatial Audio application that comes pre-installed. // Tom
@@xmg_gg Oh wow, didn't know that, so it could sound on par with the XPS-15?
@@yushirogowa3217 Maybe... not quite. But it can sound better, that's for sure.
love the idea of this video and the EgoChair 2 too
It's painful to keep hearing him say Clevo when it's not from them.
If you have back pain and posture issues I think you MUST invest a little bit more on a really comfortable and ergonomic chair. Steelcase Leap V2 or the Autonomous Ergo Chair 2 are the best choices
Haha, know you feel when we search for nice mechanical keyboards! XD
Everything new and nice is in the US layout which we arent used to :(
You can swap keycaps on all mechanical keyboard and many programmable keyboard will let you change which key is which. So you should be able to remap the keys and swap caps.
Also if your into it building your own keyboard can be exciting if not a bit expensive.
@@dylankaplan6394 The German keyboard has additional keys: äöüß
@@dylankaplan6394 and we have a smaller shift on the left and a bigger enter key
@@gustavalbers3238 Oh Rip
Regarding the non-descriptive Box: Saves money on non-essential Items. This is just how XMG laptops ship
he probably never seen an "ALT GR" Key or knows what to do with it :D :D
@Lord AB no, "Third Function" of a Key, for example:
@ € \ ² ³ µ
@Lord AB No its Alt+Shift As far as I know "Gr" stands for Gross, which means big, so its like big alt
@Lord AB Yeah, like á
@@aspartam_ actually it means alternative grafik (alternative grafics )
@@maximiliandeisz2961 Oh that makes sense but it has the same funcion as shift+alt
So as a german, i absolutly disagree with the layout. Looks all fine to me :D
holy cow, an embedded ad that I ACTUALLY WANTED TO WATCH
"Don't go to 4k, thats dumb" And someone like me that does not play shooters took that personally.
its not about shooters, in almost all games you benefit from 1440p over 4k at this size.
And the games I play it does not matter if the refresh rate is 30 or 300. 4k makes more sense for me
@@kaleckton where is the part where you reply to my comment? you basically just repeated what you said with more detail
Let me quote what I said in my first comment:
"in almost all games" you benefit...
So let me say it again:
In ALMOST all games 1440p is better.
The ergo chair is of excellent quality and comes at a reasonable price. I wasn't ready to spend the money on Herman Miller, so I settled for this.
-looks at title
I feel like you should be posting "So Far" at the end of the title, you know in time another one will kill this. Just takes time
This isn't a Clevo, this is a Tongfang. That's why it feels better - it's not a Clevo. XMG could've told you that if you asked lol
Edit: I see at the end of the video you finally corrected it, still tho he said it like 20 times lol
Its power is so great it will instantly KO my wallet.
I love the clean look with no logos
Alex is wrong so much about it being Clevo, seems like maybe a reshoot or voice over should have been done. :P
at 4:33 i was like okay video is over 😂.. and i was mad.. at how small the unboxing was, but then i saw.. that entirety of video is left.
Why didnt he try a modern game :(
I think you mean AAA instead of modern... Valheim is in early access.
Valheim is a very new game that is so badly optimized that a system like that doesn't even reach 100fps while looking like a generation old mobile game. Not an awful casual stress test tbh
@@TheOneThreeFour oh it is? It looked like a game from early 2000's
