  • Such a good song, even more now that I know what it's about. Glad I was able to hear it again today with more understanding. Thanks for listening with me! Much Love!

Hey EWG! Several years ago, Train played the halftime show at the Orange Bowl, and my boy's HS Band was one of the bands chosen to play with them! When he came home, I asked him "How was Train...?" He was like "Who...?" It seems the bands just surrounded the field, and so he was never that aware the actual band was even there! (We tease him about this regularly... hahaha!) Rock on! 🤘😎👍

Maybe 3 meanings as I've always related this song to my mom after she passed, but I never knew the song was about his mom's passing. This has just always been one of the songs that when it comes on, it feels like my Mom is saying hi. The fact this came across my feed after a particularly long day when a hug from her feels needed, it feels like I got one. I'm sure your grandmother was also saying hi.

I always heard this as a love song too and I guess I just wasn't paying close enough attention. The fact that lyrics from different sections seemed to belong to entirely different songs should have been a hint that I was misinterpreting.
