@@MGStealthbeta2015 They can definitely afford to have this level of detail in next gen games it's just because they seem to think that people don't care about small details

And some of the cutscenes are ruined: the Original cutscene with the tower bridge was dramatic. 14 year old me feeling mature for my age. When snake saluted the grave stone and the tear fell down his cheek while Eva reveals the mind blowing truth of the Boss’s deception.... I cried. Like a little bitch. Loyalty to the end o7
I’ve played this game a couple dozen times and I thought I knew every strategy and secret. I didn’t know you can feed your enemies rotten food... also jiggle physics 😂 I definitely knew about that one as a kid.... I also didn’t know enemies can heal themselves I also didn’t know about that weird scene in the bathroom with that general... I also didn’t know Eva mocks ocelots move when his back is turned
Most of the ones I didn't know about I probably did by accident once without thinking about it after. Like wearing nightvision in "The Fury's cutscene" or killing The End. A lot of these I used as standard mechanics during my playthroughs, I loved to feed enemies rotten food, or throwing live snakes at them, just screwing around. The bat sonar one is the most surprising to me, I can't believe how smart Kojima is. The fact that enemies attack you when you have no ammo is why I love the escape sequence so much, because you have this pressure sensitive button and a hair trigger firearm with no ammo, Kojima's love for movies really pops in the tense encounters you can have just trying to stick people up with that paperweight.
If you don't do the first person view to see eva do that. You can catch the last bit of her doing that just before she turns around in the regular cutscene
@@MrMah-zf6jk You mean the horse testicles? I love TW-series for it´s ability to let us make decisions that actually matter (not the illusion thereof, like in every Telltale game) and how some rather inconsequential decisions actually manifest in small details much later in the game. I also love the graphics: Fancy clothing with embroidery only visible in cutscenes (as you never get that close otherwise) Poor people with patched and damaged clothing. Soldiers with armour that has been dented, scratched, rusted and then repaired, but poorly.
Josh Powers dude, an actual remake vs a remaster are COMPLETELY different things. What you’re referring to is the remaster, and we want a remake. Many get the two words confused and it annoys the hell out of me.
I remember playing the very first time, back in 2010 and i didnt know about snake's eyes real-time adjustment. i thought was my CRT TV that was with some problems. I spent a whole day trying to fix it, checking the settings etc, tying to understand why the pitch black was like leaking light, being less dark. lol. Kojima genius.
Another small detail: In the mountain where you meet Eva, after meeting her go outside where you can see Grozny Grad and select the Sniper Rifle, then open fire at the visible soldiers in the base. You will automatically be spotted and the enemies will send 2 or 3 waves of one Hind D to kill you since the soldiers in the base cannot hit you because you are too far.
Metal gear solid is one of my all time favorite game franchises. I explored EVERY possible thing you could do in the series, and to this day, im still impressed by the details in it
I was priding myself on the fact that I was aware of every one of these details until I got to the very last one. I'm glad I saw the whole video. Keep up the good work!
1. Beehives drive enemies away. 2. Shooting the ropes on the bridge will leave it unstable. 3. In the cave, Snake will get more used to the dark over time. 4/5.Destroying ammo/food dumps will leave enemies easily defeated/distracted (running out of ammo and throwing food) 6. Hungry enemies can be tricked into eating rotten or poisonous food. 7/8. You can kill or damage The End early if you get the SVD (He’s replaced by the Ocelot unit) TBC.. (In comments) (MGS3D) Once eye is lost, you cant use 3D
There's a way to make your max health bar bigger if you inflict damage then recover from it with time. Just a tip if you want harder difficulties with low starting hp to be easier :) Realized back when I was playing the game in 2005 or 2006. I think I had some bullet bees "eating away inside of body" or something else for a very long period of time then I noticed the health bar got bigger when I healed up. Might be some other way if I didnt remember right but you can do it with some type of damage :D
any injury leaving red section that needs to be healed, if left to heal on it's own, will increase the life bar.... you can break your legs a max of 4 times at once, or keep grenading yourself. Just lie down and keep your stamina up and you'll regain health. Same thing worked with poison, you could immunise yourself before facing The Fear... best done with max life bar though as it can still kill you.
This is the game that made me a hardcore gamer for sure. Steep learning curve and my first Metal Gear experience and I'm still learning more every TIME
Such a fantastic game and was so far ahead of it's time. I'd love to see a mgs5 video of u showing off all sorts of cool details. All mgs games have extreme details which is 1 of the many reasons why I love them. Thanks for the awesome video!
I'll probably cover MGS5 sometime in the future but for now I have another 21 to show on this game then I'm moving on to some other titles. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked it :)
Man I finished MGS3 like 12 times and saw all the crazy details like leeches in swamp, shooting radios and killing the End, but shooting damn ROPES of the bridge - I didn't even thought that's possible And never were naked for too long, so didn't catch a cold either. That gamedesign is mad.
This game is the best in the series, it is one of the few games I cared about completing. I felt like I had to, like it was my duty. Crazy good game. The sniper fight with The End is insanely awesome. I got him on pure luck, I was hiding in a log and walked thru my sightline and I hit him, prompting the end of the mission.
I'm guessing these will be in the next one but here are a few that were missed. - If you blow up the helicopter early in the game it'll make the mountain section a bit easier however it'll be replaced with guards on jetpacks. - Your stamina depletes slower if you have less stuff equipped in your backpack. - You can heal from injuries if you save the game and return to it a few days later. - You can kill enemies by throwing venomous snakes or spiders at them. - You can make the battle with Fear a lot quicker and easier if you shoot down all the fruit hanging from trees and throw out rotten food.
I played through this game a dozen times. And, apart from being able to kill the End (I assume most players try to snipe him early at some point)... I didn't know any of these! Well done!
You should look into the gamecube game eternal darkness it has some of the best 4th wall scares if all time go look at a vid of the sanitary effects to see what I mean
For Unbearable torment, the Pain. For Absolute terror, the Fear For true Oblivion, the End For Infinite rage, the Fury. & For unsurpassed Bliss, the Joy. My favorite MGS game Snake Eater
This is one of my top 5 games of all time... and I grew up playing from NES generation onwards. I love the part where the guy goes "Munchies!" Also, Snake, in portuguese is "Cobra".
This proves to me that attention to detail and realistic physics are more important for immersion than realistic graphics. Yeah this might look like an average mobile game nowadays but back in the mid 2000s these were really good graphics. And the attention to detail in this game was better than in many games today.
This game is amazing! Played it multiple times. My favorite part was all the different cutscenes ypu could unlock. Also if you held R1 during all cutscenes you would get some secret first person scenes. Munchies Cobra
It amazes me how much detail this video game franchise has, I used to have MGS2 and MGS3 and I still haven't discovered 50% of the secrets and details I could have seen, very creative and you never get bored.
Metal Gear solid and Final Fantasy defined my life. I today am also a game developer and all because of these 2 franchises. It's truly amazing how games can impact your life in such a great way. For example. when Final Fantasy 7 came out, it's emotions, it's world, music and everything conveyed to the player, was truly impacting. This game and FF8, 9, 10, 12, but also others and the MGS series in a different way made me for a part develop my emotions and reflection on emotions that I in potential have in my own personality. And even at this moment by chance I was listening to FF12 music while working: ruclips.net/video/FHqSVf6MPkw/видео.html
Those are the two series that have inspired me to write scripts for video games. I revisit MGS3 and FFX at least once a year for the same reasons Snake got in the box
I'm a developer as well, and I'd say FF and MGS were what really got me into it. It was those series that taught me a video game can be a lot more than just entertainment.
Still one of the Best Games to Ever Release and part of the reason is because of How Damn Detailed it is! Thank You, Kojima.... Oh and By the way, "Cobra" 🐍

When you throw handgrande to the river you can catch a lot of fish at once
What happens if you throw it in a group of snakes? Are snakes even edible?!
That would make anyone a snake eater.
@@TheRealBlazingDiamond snakes foundable alone not with a group if that happens yeah edible
@@Vengefulknight Ok.
Quite ironically, rats give Snake as much as other snakes, usually.
I’ve played this game a couple dozen times and I thought I knew every strategy and secret. I didn’t know you can feed your enemies rotten food... also jiggle physics 😂 I definitely knew about that one as a kid....
I also didn’t know enemies can heal themselves
I also didn’t know about that weird scene in the bathroom with that general...
I also didn’t know Eva mocks ocelots move when his back is turned
Remember how, for some reason, EVA's nipples were visible in the survival viewer?
@Channel07 WHAT. Jeez Kojima is a mad man
Most of the ones I didn't know about I probably did by accident once without thinking about it after.
7:46 Woooooow, I've never seen that scene until now. It's crazy all the small details this game has, it's still my favorite in the series.
I wish games today had detail like this
The Witcher 3 went totally overboard with cramming the game full of little details.
@@edi9892 until you saw RDR 2's details lol.
@@MrMah-zf6jk You mean the horse testicles?
I love TW-series for it´s ability to let us make decisions that actually matter (not the illusion thereof, like in every Telltale game) and how some rather inconsequential decisions actually manifest in small details much later in the game. I also love the graphics:
Fancy clothing with embroidery only visible in cutscenes (as you never get that close otherwise)
Poor people with patched and damaged clothing.
Soldiers with armour that has been dented, scratched, rusted and then repaired, but poorly.
@@edi9892 not just horse testicles. There are literally hundreds of details in RDR 2. But TW 3 is still INCREDIBLY detailed.
@@MrMah-zf6jk Lol
It is still one of the greatest and one of my all time favorites. Playing this at 13 years old was amazing. The memories!
11:16 yeah, snake may win gold medal in 2020 tokyo olympic.
no doubt he will! Munchies~
We are live in 2019 Kojima lived 2019 in 1999, there is no game with more details than mgs even mgs 1 had more details then all the new games
This is facts.
What about RDR 2?
Jajajaja
Remake announced today !! Im in tears
So this is how Thanos is related to the purple Teletubby.
mgs hd collection for ps3 happened quite some time ago
I'd rather see the originals brought into the 2000s
The best we got was the metal gear solid 3 pachinko
Damn! If only Phantom Pain have MGS3 Food, Cure, and Camouflage concept.
Can't wait to see details in death stranding!!
I can't wait to cover it, I hope it's as detailed as this game!
@@oKnightzo omg! I love your channel, but yeah it's a kojima game so here's to some more bizzare details 🍻
Kojima is a videogame GOD. So smart and extremely well thought out.
4/5.Destroying ammo/food dumps will leave enemies easily defeated/distracted (running out of ammo and throwing food)
6. Hungry enemies can be tricked into eating rotten or poisonous food.
7/8. You can kill or damage The End early if you get the SVD (He’s replaced by the Ocelot unit)
TBC..

(MGS3D) Once eye is lost, you cant use 3D
Never seen a tactical torch before XD
Me too:)

Snake: *Kills everyone in the building and blows up the closet*
Some random guy: THE MUNCHIES! :O
I love that a wheel on the End's wheelchair comes flying at you after you prematurely kill him.
My favorite detail is when you use claymores against the fury.
*1st boom, that's dirty, 2rd boom, SON OF A B!@#$* 🤣
This is the game that made me a hardcore gamer for sure. Steep learning curve and my first Metal Gear experience and I'm still learning more every TIME
ahead of it's time.
*its
Where is the solider who heal himself?
Insane level of details
Such a fantastic game and was so far ahead of it's time. I'd love to see a mgs5 video of u showing off all sorts of cool details. All mgs games have extreme details which is 1 of the many reasons why I love them. Thanks for the awesome video!
I'll probably cover MGS5 sometime in the future but for now I have another 21 to show on this game then I'm moving on to some other titles. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you liked it :)
Soviet Cobra Noodle Munchies. I lost track. Very great videos. Especially liked the cardboard box codec. Very entertaining. Keep it up.
Man
I finished MGS3 like 12 times and saw all the crazy details like leeches in swamp, shooting radios and killing the End, but shooting damn ROPES of the bridge - I didn't even thought that's possible
And never were naked for too long, so didn't catch a cold either.
You kept me waiting for this video bro
I kept you waiting, huh?
I'm guessing these will be in the next one but here are a few that were missed.
- If you blow up the helicopter early in the game it'll make the mountain section a bit easier however it'll be replaced with guards on jetpacks.
- Your stamina depletes slower if you have less stuff equipped in your backpack.
- You can heal from injuries if you save the game and return to it a few days later.
- You can kill enemies by throwing venomous snakes or spiders at them.
- You can make the battle with Fear a lot quicker and easier if you shoot down all the fruit hanging from trees and throw out rotten food.
There's also the fake death pill/stun grenade trick for The Fear
Also your food will rot if you leave too long between playing
The best game in series. What Kojima and his managed to pull off with the PS2 is nothing short of amazing
20 years and I'm still finding new details about this game. Truly one of the best of all time.
My greatest discovery when I was small was finding out I could kill the end so easily and get hit by his wheelchair wheel 😂
Holds that torch like a fladhlight what a legend
Heh, Munch munch, crunch crunch
*_MUNCHIE MUNCHIE CRUNCHIE CRUNCHIE_*
I played through this game a dozen times. And, apart from being able to kill the End (I assume most players try to snipe him early at some point)... I didn't know any of these! Well done!
They need to remake this game
I’ve beaten this game at least 50 times and there are things in this video I have t seen before. Incredible
Psycho Mantis turning off my TV is still the craziest gaming experience I've ever had.
Mine was the crazy codec conversation in mgs 2 with the colonel. Crazy stuff
Colonel saying things like: "You've played kinda long, maybe take a break or something?" Breaking the fourth wall👀
You should look into the gamecube game eternal darkness it has some of the best 4th wall scares if all time go look at a vid of the sanitary effects to see what I mean
MGS3 is the top of the top. A masterpiece!
Also, MUNCHIES!
Gotta say, for a game that was released litrally two years after I was born, that's some crazy attention to detail!
Wow really? I was born in 2003 and played this for the first time in 2019 and properly played it in 2020 welcome home All
For Unbearable torment, the Pain.
For Absolute terror, the Fear
For true Oblivion, the End
For Infinite rage, the Fury.

For unsurpassed Bliss, the Joy.
My favorite MGS game
Snake Eater
This is one of my top 5 games of all time... and I grew up playing from NES generation onwards.
I love the part where the guy goes "Munchies!"
Also, Snake, in portuguese is "Cobra".
ive played this game sooo many times on the 3ds but its been awhile so its kinda nostalgic for me lol i absolutley love this game
The best Metal Gear.
Munchies
Cobra
Yeah those are nice touch, thanks for watching!
It amazes me how much detail this video game franchise has, I used to have MGS2 and MGS3 and I still haven't discovered 50% of the secrets and details I could have seen, very creative and you never get bored.
Congratulations on 100k subs dude
You deserve it
Thank you!! 😊
Man i really wish games today were this good, detailed and polished! This game is a fricking masterpiece that everyone should experience.
Thanks for the video, now I wanna experience this masterpiece again 💚
I'm going to this evening after work. Going to try extreme, with naked camo and no alerts 😅
snake's urge to get in the box is actually a very mutual feeling, you ever just want to get inside a big bucket or a massive box? come on we all do
Metal Gear solid and Final Fantasy defined my life.
Dude, MGS3, FF9+12 are my fav games ever!!!!!!!!!! Are you happy in your job? :)
I'm a developer as well, and I'd say FF and MGS were what really got me into it. It was those series that taught me a video game can be a lot more than just entertainment.
Theres a dude who has covered everything in this game its actualy insane
Great bro!
Please do hitman absolution details please man
@Thy Gamr my man! I honestly wouldn't consider Absolution to be a hitman game. Too linear.
@Ocelot Bro i am only asking about details not gameplay
Poor soldier all he wanted was some munchies
Still one of the Best Games to Ever Release and part of the reason is because of How Damn Detailed it is! Thank You, Kojima.... Oh and By the way, "Cobra" 🐍
Never played this game but still anxious to watch this video.
