the xcross solution on one of the solves is actually insane the way I see it. How do you find these solutions? Is it just example solves or playing around with the cube?
yeah basically just years of solving and learning from example solves/reconstructions. I am still definitely not as good as tymon though, he finds some insanely efficient stuff
Multislotting and efficient f2l in general are crucial if you want to improve further. You should also plan the first pair during inspection. (And learn 2 sided recognition for all oll and pll if you haven’t already)
I have one sub 9 average and a few averages close to 9 flat What I mostly observed in all of my averages and solves is the flow and state of mind All you need is to solve without mistakes and track other pieces as well This may sound quite difficult but it actually is just moderately difficult and very do-able Before solving with timer Do atleast 10 example solves by yourself and warm up your mind for efficiency and flow by stressing yourself to solve without pause as much as possible Moreover a crucial benefit of doing self example solves is that you’ll start getting familiar to different cases real quicker than doing timed solves so doing example solves will help later in timed solves It will also get yourself some space to have creativity in your solves or fancy stuff that might help And over it I’d suggest you to be efficient at ground level of an advanced cuber i.e., you don’t need to be fancy to be efficient, just execute everything you know in most efficient way without making mistakes You cannot help with difficult cases, so rather be better at executing, spamming tracking and predicting For last layer Observe last slot carefully while doing example solves so that you can move well to OLL For PLL, just use basic senses and learn corner orientations while doing OLL so that you can predict whether it is a diagonal swap or the other one I’m not saying much on last layer because you better observe it and analyse it by yourself and pay attention while practicing
@@cresol5723 I agree with you here. Look ahead doesn’t matter as much compared to when you’re globally sub 8. All you have to do is to minimize pauses and do f2l efficiently. I’d say messing around with f2l more rather than just doing timed solves is a good idea as well cuz you have a better understanding of what you’re doing instead of just mindlessly doing the f2l cases one by one
And i was happy yesterday with breaking my 5.29 pb sibgle with a 5.28... Still, the ebd of june marks the end of my first cubing year, ive achieved one of ny goals which is to globally avg sub 9, and am trying rlly hard to achieve the secknd one, which js ti get a sub 5 single

Is nobody gonna talk about that he downsolved it to a 3.44 ao5…
That is absolutely insane, even if I copied all his moves exactly and practiced them all day he'd still be 3 times faster than me haha
Let's go Kyle!!! Can't wait to see you at Canadian Champs!!!
Bro LITERALLY have the best turning style I've seen so far
Siuuu insane 🎉❤
Amazing yo!
For the third pair on the second solve, u can do R' U R' F R F' R, flows rlly well, especially of its into the back
yeah I know of that, but I never personally use it because I find it doesn't flow well for me

What I mostly observed in all of my averages and solves is the flow and state of mind
All you need is to solve without mistakes and track other pieces as well
This may sound quite difficult but it actually is just moderately difficult and very do-able
Before solving with timer
Do atleast 10 example solves by yourself and warm up your mind for efficiency and flow by stressing yourself to solve without pause as much as possible
Moreover a crucial benefit of doing self example solves is that you’ll start getting familiar to different cases real quicker than doing timed solves so doing example solves will help later in timed solves
It will also get yourself some space to have creativity in your solves or fancy stuff that might help
And over it I’d suggest you to be efficient at ground level of an advanced cuber i.e., you don’t need to be fancy to be efficient, just execute everything you know in most efficient way without making mistakes
You cannot help with difficult cases, so rather be better at executing, spamming tracking and predicting
For last layer
Observe last slot carefully while doing example solves so that you can move well to OLL
For PLL, just use basic senses and learn corner orientations while doing OLL so that you can predict whether it is a diagonal swap or the other one
I’m not saying much on last layer because you better observe it and analyse it by yourself and pay attention while practicing
