Thank you for this information, I hope the rest of the Jamaican people eyes will be open. I was also questioning Mr Clark appointment! I hope Jamaica will have someone who continues to develop the country economy.

What a lot of people don't realize is that he was always on the side of the capitalists.
His appointment was made possible by the wishes of a certain P.B. Scott and others like him who wanted to secure the repayment of certain debts owed to them by the Jamaican government after the default which happened under the Golding administration.
He was chosen by them to do their bidding and now has been promoted for his good work

No this is not a win for Jamaica the IMF should NEVER be trusted. I will never forget what the IMF did to the Jamaican people during the Michael Manley years of governance. The worst thing Michael Manley did was to get in bed with the IMF. The Jamaican people and the rest of the post-colonial nations of the Caribbean will not be fooled! (Jeremiah 13:23) This is the IMF: "Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. "

    Miss Lady stop here 🛑
Dr Clark is there most qualified suitable candidate and aligns perfectly well 4this role
Moreover when u look at Jamaica gettn herself out of IMF debt in less than 10yrs
Jamaica is a prototype everybody wants to know this secret social relevant to this topic
Lastly Dr Clarke is still a young man why should he be forced or dictated 2 stay
This is why its called a Job

So lets begin... In the late 1970s and more so in the 1980s , Capitalist Economies especially as dictated by American Capitalism followed the principles of "Laissez Fair Capitalism" - Let the Market determine a country's financial direction, a principle espoused and encouraged by Milton Friedman, Henry Kissenger, Ronald Reagan et al. The JLP under the American promoted Prime Minister Edward Seaga fully adopted this set of principles to guide Jamaicas economy. I will let that sink in like carbon being added to iron in the formation of steel under the conditions of intense heat addition and constant pressure.... Bring it, Lets Begin...

I don't what u talking about 10years because I remember all the programs she mentioned in the 70, 80, 90 20thy. I remember when Patterson said we have completed paying back IMF loans only to have the 2 party going back a few years later. So what u talking about 10years is only god he knows.

      @@christophergreen8523Y u so dunce with a attitude
Im not this old im a teenager in advanced class economics finance/policy making
Resonating ovr n ovr JAMAICA has halve its debt in less than 10yrs
Per the Brookings Paper on Economic Activity and IMF
Hence the world is using Jamaica as a prototype when looking at sustainable debt reduction
Michael Manley was at the Morant Bay Rebellion not talkn about his IMF😂 if fhis is the case lets use Singapore in the 70s lookn like Jamaica now
Singapore use Jamaica as a prototype then n is now the 2nd Wealthiest Country GDP ratio socially relevant
Hence Dr Clark is ripe for IMF bcas he has a wealth of knowledge and policy making financial sustainable debt underpinnings Jamaica
      The IMF sees this
      Just rest u self
      And stop screaming
      He could b a asset
Yard blk ppl oonu is badmind crab inna barrel the most fragmented n divided ➗ groups of black
      Lift up

I went to St. Richard’s Primary School with Nigel Clarke, he did not go through the full 6 years there but was whisked in for some years out of the 6 and one day he magically was taken from the school. I was born in 1971 so he is hardly to be considered a young man. He is a very accomplished, brilliant scholar as evidenced by his achievement of a Rhodes Scholarship and being appointed head of Mussons Group. News2Me alluded to the fact that he is brilliant, no one is disputing that.
