I know this is repeat of so much of what I have already left for reviews on her other sample videos but the full video of this lecture makes it all look so easy. If you are intimidated by singing in rounds then you will enjoy this video. Gail Lescher gives simple easy instructions and then you get to see them in action. Great video!

I'd never heard of quodlibet singing before this. What a great class!

I've been contemplating the path of Waldorf teacher and these RUclips videos have been very helpful, but it seems overwhelming the amount of knowledge one must have to be a teacher. Is this a normal experience of beginner teachers?

Personally speaking, I'd be nervous if a beginning teacher did not have such an experience! It can feel very overwhelming, however it is also one of the most rewarding journeys - both inner and outer - one can embark on.

daeichler That's reassuring, thank you. Serving children feels like a calling to me but I have resistance. Public speaking and acting in front of an audience make me very nervous, but when I'm working with children - my own or others - a tremendous "light" turns on within me. And I do sense what you say of the journey - that it is extremely rewarding. The many things I have tried to give me that feeling - money, nice car, secure job, etc. have all fallen short, and now I stand looking directly at the obvious: my true purpose in life. It evokes my fears and deep yearning at the same time. Thank you for who you are and what you do. I have the utmost respect for those who give their gifts to children.
