@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign I am the one to be grateful. Ban is even better than the university teacher I used to study. This is the best software I have ever used. It can draw anything. Thank you for guidance .
Thank you for what you're doing for the Fusion 360 community Matt. What are your opinions on the sheet metal workspace? Personally I think it's a brilliant and very powerful tool - it is quite picky about unfolding the design to a DXF though usually if we have trouble with it we unfold it in Catia.
Thanks Rich! I think sheet metal was a great addition to Fusion 360 but its about 70% of the way there. I don't know if it will ever be complete honestly. Inventor has a pretty solid set of Sheet metal tools. Some of the Fusion tools are a little misleading like converting to sheet metal. For example in Solidworks you could make a solid block. Converting it to sheet metal meant that you could select faces and edges and it would convert that outside shape to a sheet metal part. Fusion needs to have a thin part and even then you have to basically have designed a sheet metal part by accident :) I think for Fusion to be a complete sheet metal tool it will need a few more options including things like forming dies and the ability to create those in Fusion for reuse. Things like punch tools as well. Probably the biggest gripe is that the edge/flange profiles can't be edited during creation. This was amazing in Solidworks for example. When adding a flange you had the option to edit the shape. Fusion can get into a case where you are building overlapping features and there isn't a great way around it at the moment.
@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign I agree, I really do love Fusion 360 as it just agrees with me more than other programs if that makes any sense but compared to more mature packages such as Catia Fusion feels more modern and facilitates such rapid designs to me but it does feel lacking in some areas such as drawings but then you have to remember its quite literally 1% of the price for a commercial license compared to Catia which is the other software I use.
For sure. I was doing 99% of my work in Solidworks for years before I started using Fusion 360 in 2015. I like the company structure, the updates, the focus on education/content. After working with Solidworks for many years and seeing meaningless updates and old problems not being resolved for quite a steep asking price I was more than willing to wait for the maturity of Fusion 360. I often express my gripes to some of the contacts I have and hope that more effort will be put into the design and drawing tools. I know things are updating but adoption of Fusion 360 really needs to start at the Core design tools. Not CAM, GD and PCB (in my mind). I would also agree on the UI. There are workflow things I dislike about Fusion and like more in other CAD packages but you can't have it all :)
I'm loving these tutorials, especially the ones on Blender. I have to ask.. Do you know about the RUclips channel Max Derrat @maxderrat? You sound shockingly similar to him (to my ears). Maybe a long-lost brother?
We absolutely need this! Thanks for this great tutorial.
I'm getting tired hearing people say that F360 only creates 'boxy' objects.
Glad it helped. More to come.... as soon as i figure out what that is lol
Perfectly clear now!! 👍
Thanks for taking the time to investigate and clarify...
You're welcome!
excellent surfacing work! F360 and Plasticity are bros of the same mother. thank you Matt!
Thanks!
I appreciate your attention to detail
Thank You!
Great examples! I only wish that Autodesk would provide similar examples in a user's guide:-(
Maybe one day!
Very super max useful ❤
Thank you 🙂

Thanks Jannik! Can't say i've heard of Max Derrat before. Does he do the same style content?
@@LearnEverythingAboutDesign Not at all. That's why I'm not assuming it is you on a secondary channel, but a "voice-doppelganger"
