I thought it was a great game and it was nice to see it played on a neutral site. Attendance was good too. I think Iowa will be in the mix for the championship run. Clark is going to need more help though in my opinion. Some of her teammates are struggling on the offensive end right now. I'm liking what I'm seeing from Hannah Stuelke though. Looks like she's really hustling and stepping her game up. Love the way she runs the floor.
It would be unbelievable if Hawkeyes could beat LSU if they meet again in the finals. I mean LSU have literally recruited a super team in Angel, Hailey, and Aneesah Morrow. They should be like the Warriors with Durant. Go Hawkeyes.
This is so embarrassing to admit, but I never paid attention to women's basketball until Caitlin Clark. It doesn't matter about her race, her being female, or what ever, she is an incredible athlete in basketball. Her skills is what I admire, and she excels. It is not about race, about gender, about her life choice, it is about her ability and talent to play basketball. Up to this point, I could not care about WNBA in the slightest, but now, because of Caitlin Clark, I care. Not about race, it is about ability, and it should never be anything other than that. Now I'll be paying attention to WNBA.
Rebounds is where Iowa prevailed, a lot of second and third shots. Miserable shooting from outside was balanced by a lot of good inside work, not just by Clark, but Stuelke, Goodman, and others. If Iowa's shooting hadn't been terrible, they could have racked up 100 easy.
She should catch Plum by the Big 10 tournament for all time women's scorer. She should catch Pete Maravich, the all time leading scorer, men's or women's by the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. I get that Maravich only played 88 games (he averaged over 44 ppg for his career) but if she can break it...why not?
That's true but she's clearly the most talented and gifted female player ever. There's never been a player with her skill set. If she never scored another point sh would still have a huge impact on games.
As she said, it wasn't her best game. It wasn't Iowa's best game either. Iowa's shooting percentage was abysmal. Gaby made 0%, very unusual for her. The thing about Clark's shooting, it is always a threat and therefore sets up open players and Clark is a good point guard, finding the open player. There is a reason she lead the nation in assists last year.
I respect everything Caitlin Clark does but imma keep 💯 her teammates really need to help her out she drops 44 and they still barely win the game on a foul call 🤣🤣 and no im not hating but i just think this isnot substanable too win a nation title just my opinion tho because if Elizabeth Kitley would have played just a little bit better the would have been in trouble 🤷🤷
