Good luck with that! I sent mine in for warranty repair and when they sent it back (it was fixed) a whole new set of issues cropped up. Specifically, Armoury Crate SE no longer functions as it did when purchased new. Instead of launching, it goes to a black screen when opening requiring a hard boot. I suspect when Asus was making repairs, they attached it to an external monitor and for some reason, the handheld still believes it is connected to an external monitor. Not the end of the world as I can simply launch Steam, Gog, Uplay, etc. directly and play games but it would have been nice if Asus had sent the unit back with everything functioning properly. anyone here that have tried the Anbernic RG556, I've seen a lot of videos and under $200 dollars I think it's a great option to emulate and gane streaming
Maybe if I was a Japanese businessman with a 4hr commute this would appeal to me. As it stands, I’d infinitely prefer to play on a high end PC with mouse and keyboard and an OLED monitor than hunch over this tiny screen using cramped controls for a severely compromised experience.
Depends on your setup, if you would like to play in more cozy way like laying on a sofa or tucked under blanket on your bed or just going to place where you wont have your setup this is the way to go but yeah pc gaming is way better
It's the same as a switch, you play it on your couch, I stream my PC to it so I get the great graphics plus longer battery and mobility. It looks like it's cramped but it's incredibly more comfortable than the switch which is basically a slab that has no support for your hands.
I always wanted a Switch but the atrocious 32Gig on-board memory always made me doubt my choice and as the generation went further Switch actually got worse at outputting great visuals at acceptable framerates but the opposite is true of Sony and MS normally. I am looking to get a Switch 2 since I own every other console + a gaming PC so at least I am going into the 2nd one with open eyes and not expecting on par fidelity, massive storage and RAM till kingdom come. They would smash the PS2's lifetime record with the Switch 2 if they at least met gamers halfway on the specs... give us at least 512Gig SSD, 12Gig Ram and an 8Gig GPU modelled off of the Ampere architecture. This would allow the hybrid system to compete with the PS5 and Series X as well as future proof it but alas we can only wish as Nintendo does not wanna compete at the specs game anymore.
I've had the Asus Rog Ally since it first came out and the only way I would get this new one if it was extremely better. If the Rog X was 64 ram with 2 tb storage then I would definitely get it. But that little upgrade isn't worth it.
If i wanted to play a pc game i think i would prefer gettinga good laptop or pc. When comes to handheld console i still prefer my switch even if it doesnt have some more powerful triple a games on it. While i dont have it, im heard the steamdeck is decent, in price range, and his its own os rather than windows.
The performance is better probably because plugging it in to the charger enables High Performance battery mode. This mode will drain the battery quick when running off of the battery and no charger. Therefore, the default power mode is usually balanced. Sometimes it may be set to power saver, which will dramatically reduce performance. If you want to game for short period of time away from charging outlet and need high performance, then use the High Performance battery mode. Don't forget to change it back to balanced mode when you are done or else it will deplete battery often.
Most older games are worth their weight in gold compared to the constant disappointments dropping year round. SD is more than enought if you have a life.
I’ll stick with my Steam Deck. Windows is a huge negative for me. Yuck! And I refuse to buy any product from Asus. Those SoB’s are hideously anti-consumer. Gamers Nexus exposed them and I thank them for their public service.
Why even use a PC handheld anyways? All these stupid PC handhelds are pointless. Plus they're not good as an actual PC. An actual PC has way more power than these stupid PC handhelds do. And you can't replace most parts in the PC handhelds. Maybe upgrade the SSD but that's all the PC handhelds can do. Just buy a regular gaming PC, or even build yourself a gaming PC. It'll be way better than the handheld PCs lol
No, not really. Not with systems like the ps3. This does it much better… but it’s short lived cause in a year all the newer stuff will do it better anyway
I can't play GOW3 or MGS4 on Deck are you stupid you can on Ally, those two games are benchmark's basically if it can run those two games then it's better.
I bought an open box Z1 for $300 and I’ve been more than satisfied with it. PC gaming is so versatile I can get most games to run just by adjusting settings.

How can you play The Force Unleashed II for 360?
wait 5 months when its 400
Hard to get roms for since a lot of places are being forced to take rom down
anyone here that have tried the Anbernic RG556, I've seen a lot of videos and under $200 dollars I think it's a great option to emulate and gane streaming
If ps4 works out you'll probably change your mind
Hey will you review the rog ally xz extreme?
He been
Fun fact: they named it the ROG because it does a great job running the 1980 game Rogue.
Actually no, that's not a fact. Nor is it fun. Sorry.
I haven't done the upgrade yet night what fir next gen one
These handheld consoles coming out with 24gb of ram and 1tb of storage, meanwhile the Switch 2 will probably have 8gb of ram and 64gb of storage lol
So at least it's safe to say that these console will be able to emulate Switch 2
BODYCOUNT MENTIONED RAHHHHHHH
😂 “Robotnic’s Fury”
Ally x is the best right now get it from best buy and get the warranty. Steam deck shills are gonna get left behind.
If I've got a base steam deck, would anybody recommend getting this? Especially if I've been dying to play lost odyssey and other 360 rpgs?
Night and day
I've had the Asus Rog Ally since it first came out and the only way I would get this new one if it was extremely better. If the Rog X was 64 ram with 2 tb storage then I would definitely get it. But that little upgrade isn't worth it.
64gb of ram doesn’t make sense.
I love how my steam deck just randomly stopped turning on. Never spending money on steam again.
How do you get the Xbox 360 games on the rog
Emudeck
DVD burner
Battery is cool but i think ill pass, id rather that $900 go to a next gen version instead. The deck oled will cover the battery problem just fine.
So what games does it play ▶️
I have it, it’s the best hand held hands down.
Wouldn't even have considered it.. but this video temps me! But not at $800!
Great Marketing!
hi RGT
Have the steam deck oled and love it cool video but I’ll stick to the deck can’t stand having windows on a handheld
Nice vids
Spending £800 just to emulate games from the 90s 💀💀💀
Most older games are worth their weight in gold compared to the constant disappointments dropping year round. SD is more than enought if you have a life.
Games I play are cool but if people want to play newer games they need to get a life lmfao
Is it ROG or R O G….?
I might pick one up in the future, but I'll probably install Linux on it or something. Microsoft can suck it lol
Love my legion go asus and there bad return policy and bad service are no go
Do you always have to be connected to the internet to play?
Nope
xbox360 mercenares 2 world in flame?
Body Count name drop 👍
It has an "X" because it's Xtra.
bro wtf you doing your basement is still falling apart, stop playing games!
ASOOS R O G
please say it right
Misleading thumbnail, that screen doesn’t show the black bars, Ally X’s screen isn’t borderless
Best handheld ever made
Steam Deck over Rog Ally
Asus is number 1
Wait why the x that support 100w only come with a 65w charger???.. but if want to" emulate" just get a mig lol
You should give it away
Everybody's favorite Nintendo RUclipsr
Steam Deck will always win
with ease of use. Nobody wants
to screw around with Windows
Cop killa! Iykyk
But... the LCD screen and design make it like emulators on McDonald's LCD toys 🧸 😅
Legion Go bro.
0:34 That symbol is just like the one my computer.
5:51 That's a Mario game not a Sonic one.
Gonna get the steam deck. F Asus
But....he's so stupid with his pipes
I’ll stick with my Steam Deck. Windows is a huge negative for me. Yuck! And I refuse to buy any product from Asus. Those SoB’s are hideously anti-consumer. Gamers Nexus exposed them and I thank them for their public service.
you can run linux on it just fine, asus brand can’t be fixed 😅
Windows is the worst, a scam
Why even use a PC handheld anyways? All these stupid PC handhelds are pointless. Plus they're not good as an actual PC. An actual PC has way more power than these stupid PC handhelds do. And you can't replace most parts in the PC handhelds. Maybe upgrade the SSD but that's all the PC handhelds can do. Just buy a regular gaming PC, or even build yourself a gaming PC. It'll be way better than the handheld PCs lol
@@user-John1Can you take your PC on the plane?
@user-John1 it's mainly made for people who travel a lot.
Meh. steam deck is still king of handheld pc, emulation. Price to performance is unappareled.
Asus pronounced A-sus, like Jesus in Spanish hey-sus ;)
soos
Ya. And they're sus.
@@Moe_Lester_fromUptwn agreed
BUT - it not nearly worth it for that cost. A 300 dollar pc could do it.
I bought an open box Z1 for $300 and I’ve been more than satisfied with it. PC gaming is so versatile I can get most games to run just by adjusting settings.
@@saltysteved3831 Well that specific example.. Yeah it's a good find.
Steam Deck is the King of emulation
Yep and you got the Steam games there right away I’m not sure if you can choose now for Oled but that’s also a win for the Steam Deck
It's isn't. Not even close. I'm a fan of SD to but don't let fanboyism cloud you it is not the best or close to it for that
The steam deck is good but the ally blows it out the water. I have both
Can’t believe you mfs still exist , yes it’s the cleanest handheld experience but it’s not by any means the most powerful handheld .
And it’s only clean cause it’s based of its own software.
It's pronounced *AZEUS* . You're welcome.
Also, it isn't RAWG. It's R.O.G ..... You're welcome again
