Another great video Nigel. Everything you could ask for: fresh air, views, steam trains, waterfalls and a bacon bap. Life doesn't get any better than that, surely.
Hi Paul, thanks a great day your right lovely weather, wonderful waterfalls, steam trains and fantastic scenery and a bacon bap to round it all off, life has been good for my walks this year have had some crackers, thanks for your support enjoy your easter weekend cheers nigel
Hi Richard, thanks mate, apart from the mud a great day to be in the moors and some new paths for me, thanks for taking a look and commenting cheers nigel
Impressive falls, which I have never seen before and what a place for a lunch stop! More than one bonus regarding the trains, you seem to be a magnet for them! I must get to Goathland this year for sure, and hopefully at least see if not ride a train, also eat a bacon bap! Cheers Alan
Hi Alan, and to sit and have lunch next to that waterfall was priceless, the third train i saw was really lucky had just got along the line and asked someone if there was a train due anytime soon and he said yes in the next 5 minutes, yes a must visit even if you dont ride the trains plenty to see, even buying some lunch and a coffee/tea you are supporting the railway, thanks for coming along cheers nigel
Wonderful walk Nigel...You found a nice spot by the falls for lunch..we like to stop for refreshments at the Birch hall inn in Beck hole...Mallyan spout looked impressive, last time we passed by it it was a mere trickle.
Hi Steve, a few people about but not at thomason falls when i stopped, Mallyan spout was at its best with all the rain last week, ye like you say just a wonderful place to walk with many features, thanks for coming along cheers nigel
So so good Nigel. I felt that one strongly - there was excitement and great satisfaction on the trails. The first falls were awesome - great route in to. As for the second that was a wonderful space to have a break. Loved the trains sneaking into the trail to. Yeah, plenty of interest. Hey, did you notice the old trunks at Goathland station? Well, a fabulous heritage walk. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark, such a great place to walk with the falls, rivers, steam trains and scenery, yes did see the old trunks love all that history, funnily enough just come back from a family walk along an old railway line with a information board showing people getting on a train to go to the seaside a photo from the 1950s, that lunch spot was fabulous and to get it all on my own was priceless, anyways thanks for your nice comments mate, have a great week cheers nigel
@@nigelharness9032 It looked and sounded like a great area - a real boost. Them trunks were pretty special - lightweight now eh? Always nice to see a vintage photo. As for the spot yeah priceless. I will have a good week.
Morning Mark, them early Trunks were made of wood and real heavyweights and yes lightweight now thankfully bit easier to lug about, love seeing old black and white photos, always a boost to walk in an area like that and seeing them steamers was the icing, always a pleasure to chat cheers nigel
