Morning Nigel that looks a very beautiful historic place, we would love it here, so peaceful and with very interesting history, a nice place to train for you. Wow 3 hand tools were found there too from I think you said 400,000 years ago ? I can see why this area is an SSSI. We too love old buildings, they are fascinating especially seeing old fire places and nature taking over. That blue stone from the ice age was great to see. The place where you spent your summers as a child was very lovely near the river that you slid down playing, and that waterfall was gorgeous. Loved the church and where the old railway line used to be as well. That was a great 12 mile walk with a lot to see 👍~ Anna
Morning Anna hope its shaping up to be a nice day over there in North Wales, yes a quiet place to explore and yes doing a bit of research the experts do think man was in the area 400,000 years ago, been trying to find bluestone for ages, funnily enough out training again this morning, thank you so much for watching have a chilled day cheers nigel
Red woods? Love em Nige - they're certainly majestic. I imagine that was the idea with the whale bones too - didn't work in my opinion. The excavation of that field did though. Wow, such great finds. It's a long time for sure but then we have 400 million years and 4 billion. Wow, it never stops. A lush walk it must be said with old memories - very early memories as a young boy. There's time again. I do like a Heronry. Was their one close by? Well, a decent outing. All the best. Mark
Morning Mark, ye Coastal redwoods brought over in the mid 1850s very impressive, the whale bones decaying now, the excavation of the fields the bones found are in a museum not far from me must go over and do a vid in there, time seems to shoot by important we keep getting out and experiencing the great outdoors, where i see the herons did another walk past there and my mate see a kingfisher on the lake, enjoy your day cheers nigel
@@nigelharness9032 I'm glad they did bring them over - I have a Giant Sequoia outside my flat. Hope you do a vid of the bones - time waits for no man. Hey, good to hear of the Kingfisher - always good. Peace.
