Health has been regained after 2 years, so they need some pruning for basic structure - very sticky and straight with not much in the way of inner buds to prune back to. The challenge is ongoing . . . 😉✂

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m actually jealous of all the snow you got 😊 here in Vancouver has been a very warm winter, I’d say average of about 8-10 degrees, rarely hitting 0 at night. Just doesn’t feel “right” feels like one long fall. Some of my flowers have even started coming up (I think they’ll die, they came up too early)
I killed my first Boxwood.I was wanting and old oak styling also. I'm planing on getting another one here soon and try again. Yours are going to be awesome.

A lot of thought went into pruning the main tree in the forest. The rest of the pruning is all down hill. Looking good.
God knows I miss the snow, ever since I moved south! But it's still way above freezing- good fot trees and flowers!
It’s definitely a trade-off!
