He could probably go away for awhile and just do a few features to keep some hype going. Then release an album later and the excitement might be even higher. But who knows
Drake needs to pull a Beatles: disappear for a while and come back with a great body of work like we know he can. It’s funny cause he admires the Beatles in every other sense but this one.
Drake is scared to take a hiatus because he knows that his fans are hypebeasts. Hypebeast fanbase dare not loyal. They’ll move on to the next “lit” act.
I don’t understand why people put so much value on fame. It does not automatically = money.. you can fall off and still be rich. You can never get a platform and still run up money. Stop chasing that shit if it comes then it comes but y’all worship fame and clout and it means nothing!!
I’m 20, I been watching you for years tho. Since I was a sophomore in high school. I love you channel btw. I appreciate the artist differences. I feel like I like drake more because he is a good balance between modern hip hop and old school. I enjoy both but being able to merge them efficiently is a skill I respect. Kanye does the same thing but it doesn’t hit the same per se because the new school mix up isn’t as good as drake. Drake her loss album was a good new school album. Drake didn’t sound like old Drake on that album it was new and good. New school styled Drake. Kanye’s donda album was better than CLB as a whole but it had more features to hide that imo.
Travis dropped one album and racked up so many streams this year and was close to drake who has basically dropped a carzy amount of music in one year or so
drake makes fast food music. he takes all the basic shit that normie people like and then he bites some new sounds from other artists with cult followings and then he blends it together to appeal to the widest audience possible. Once drakes starts doing something different, that basically means that trend it at its peak and ready for mass consumption. Kanye on the other hand, takes new sounds from artists that have appeal to smaller audiences, and then he puts his own iconic touch to it. So when the mass audience hears it its totally new to them and a lot of them might not like it outside of his main following. But eventually it grows on people and years down the line it other people start to build on that sound until it eventually reaches drake. Kanye went full into the gospel choir stuff and now even drake has that same sound on a couple of his new tracks, but its extremely watered down
Dude kayne doesn’t even write his own music nor drake they both have ghost writers nothing about them is really original it’s entertainment drakes a character. I don’t even believe we know there real names if you did his house and number can be found public records let that sink in. They don’t control they’re own social media from the fan’s perspective they living the life we don’t know how much of a say or control they really have. Yea they both insanely rich but they signed deals with people richer. This just mk ultra at its finest they just expanded the operation and kept it quiet.
Hi hi, I’m 20 and let me start by saying, love the views on hip hop. Hip hop is like a secondary genre for me after R&B, so I’m not deep in hip hop like other people, also meaning I’m not much of a Drake fan. I do have people around me that are drake fans in there teens, around 17 to my age,but it could just be because of where I’m from as well. I live on an island in the Caribbean and the Caribbean tends to pick up American trends, but trends take longer to die out once implemented here. Drakes most memorable albums for me are views and scorpion because of the fact that they dropped when I was in what y’all call high school, so teenage coming of age type things where my brain and outlook on life where malleable. Even though times are changing as well as attention spans, meaning artist have to consistently release to be on the forefront of people’s minds, because they want new things all the time and NOW, the great thing about cementing yourself as an icon and one of the greats is that people would still wait for you to perfect your craft. They would be more upset with consistency that is declining.Drake would be fine.
Drake is not falling off, the music industry is falling off. there has not been a significant genre in years for him to hop on. Afrobeat is poppin but he's been there and done that. Unless something new pops up then he'll always be in a conundrum
18 year old here, i would honestly say i’ve heard and listened to more drake over the years, but i am a bigger fan of kanye musically if that makes sense
The reason that people like Kendrick and asap are just respected for not dropping in years is because you can feel the life in their music and there’s always consistently good drops from people like them, but with drake in the past few years his music is so lifeless atleast to me. He’s just shooting for hits at this point and cares more about quantity than quality
Drake chases waves he's not experimenting. Whoever is hot or whatever style is hot believe Drake will hop to it. That's how he has more number 1 than anybody
In my humble opinion kendric dropping albums 4-5 years apart and largely up until his last album having overwhelming positive reviews for each album, that to me is more Impressive then dropping every year to stay relevant, but when you say drakes not lost idk if I can agree, I’d say staying true to your sound despite what becomes popular is the opposite of being loss unlike drake
Drake is the definition of making hit records whereas Kanye is more of an artist and a creative. You never expect the same sound from Kanye but you can’t say that for drake
I have to listen to his new release but for me I can’t really remember much from For All The Dogs…way too long and I got bored…but watching the video First Person Shooter…made me rethink go back and see what I missed… I’m older and I don’t really rock with many of these artist..give me the old Kayne…but for Drake I do like and always look forward to what have had coming… I enjoy some of his earlier albums more than some of the later ones but I do my favorites…like I said I’ll check out his new release and see where I stand on it.
He wants to end on a high note. But he knows he makes microwave music that will be forgotten. The secret to his success is always being in your face and especially in your ear. If he really goes away for a year or so he knows he'll be forgotten because the Drake spell will be broken. He's addicted to winning.
My lil bro 22 still listens to Drake classics . Likes Kanye but bigger Drake fan. Might be biased cuz I’m 30 and a Kanye fan of course: Kanye def gon outlast Drake imo
I’m 21, Ye is the GOAT, I haven’t listened to Drake since 2020. The last time I listened to him was Certified Lover Boy and I haven’t been keen to listen to him ever since.
Drake should definitely disappear. Then pop back up on a feature of a hot sound like he did with blockboy JB. He literally says in the long “I’ve been gone since like July, niggas acting like I died.” That released in February. It might work again.
I’m 20, but I didn’t grow up listening to Drake or Ye. That being said, as an artist and for a lack of better words, in terms of ‘aura’ or ‘swag’ Ye wins in my book by miles. Drake is cool but I feel like he tries to fit in too much with younger people and a younger audience while he should be looking to be seen as a ‘grandpa’ in the game (again lack of better words). I haven’t listened to much of Drake’s old music, however I’ve been actively tapping in since scorpion. New music? Drake takes the cake. Two of my favourite albums of all time are 808’s & Heartbreak and The Life of Pablo though. I love Ye’s versatility. All in all, Ye’s closer to being my favourite artist than Drake but I can definitely appreciate a lot of both artists catalogs!
Yassine saying 16 to 17 yrs still call ye the fave but not affording drake the same courtesy I think is dishonest reasoning and this isn't arguable drake is immensely more popular than ye and hip hop is for he youth so I would say drake possible has the ears of the youth way more than ye right now but that's just what I think

With Kanye, people are subconsciously putting him ahead of Drake perhaps because of his fashion and who he is as a person. I’ll tell you this, no club or beach party I go to is playing Kanye’s music. No hate, all this is of course personal opinion and experience. Love your videos, I too make music so maybe one day I’ll be on ya channel haha 😂 cheers!
that’s because kanye is not just lowest common denominator background music
BIG FAX
Kanye can produces beats, drake only a voice, that’s why Kanye is ahead
@@disturbedotakucommon denominator just means the most fans 😂 You tried tho ig

Rap is so boring. They could really use a anti-establishment era in the mainstream all these guys are following the rules like good boys

But. . . . .Y'know. . . . .

I ain't praying on his downfall y'all making us think we do lol let's be real I was a fan he just need to take criticisms to improve his music I would've done the same thing
As a younger listener (16-24 area), Ye is the greatest and it’s not even close. Drake doesn’t innovate on nearly the same level

I’m 20 and Drake still the goat 💀but I understand and agree to almost every criticism for him
In the 17-20 range, Ye is the 🐐
Drake has too many classics to disregard doe
I think drake is fighting between his ego and fear.
I’m 17. Nobody says drake is there favorite artist but whenever he drops we check it out. Meanwhile everyone is always listening to not new Kanye but mbdtf and ye albums that cane before that. Nobody has really been listening to anything after mbdtf tho.
He could probably go away for awhile and just do a few features to keep some hype going. Then release an album later and the excitement might be even higher. But who knows
Im 20 and its Ye all day
Drake needs to pull a Beatles: disappear for a while and come back with a great body of work like we know he can. It’s funny cause he admires the Beatles in every other sense but this one.
Im 16 and kanye is my goat but i have Alot of freinds who listen to drake
Drake is bored and single. He needs to get married and have a family, so he can mature and grow.
He was gone for two years and was doing features if I remember and dropped Nwts finally after dropping take care

Drake is scared to take a hiatus because he knows that his fans are hypebeasts. Hypebeast fanbase dare not loyal. They’ll move on to the next “lit” act.
idk what you saying cuz a lot of people 16 to early 20s fw drake a lot even if hes not our favourite artist cuz we all grew up in his peak 2016-2020
Excatly
Imagine thinking Drakes peak is 16 to 20 🤣🤣😭
I don’t understand why people put so much value on fame. It does not automatically = money.. you can fall off and still be rich. You can never get a platform and still run up money. Stop chasing that shit if it comes then it comes but y’all worship fame and clout and it means nothing!!

I’m 22. Kanye> Drake. Donda> drakes last 3 albums. I fw certified lover boy though.
That doesn’t mean I don’t respect old hip hop. I love it, but Kanye doesn’t have that modern twang that Drake does
I agree that's why I also like drake
Ye is the goat !! Always has been !! Alway will be !! 🔥🔥🔥🐐🐐🐐
3:25 was a straight bar bro !!! he77 Polo too if he doesnt drop that 808 mafia album soon
Take this man word with a grain of 🧂
The word you were looking for when explaining why he needed a W in the beginning of the video was (Ego) his Ego made him do this last album.
This videos a W ❤
Drake dropped deluxes for Take Care and NWTS as well, btw.
I’m 17 and Ye is my favorite artist out their
He don't write his own music he's bacced up by a machine
You are goofy
Nether does Kanye tho…Kanye is in rooms with multiple writers and prod…
Drake definitely writes his own and used to write for Kanye too
@almightyesso4789 you must be on your knees in front of him
@Imhim562 what a weird image of me have In your head.
Drake the type of n**** saying he’s leaving turns around and say “I’mmmm backkkk”
Interesting point
18 year old here, i would honestly say i’ve heard and listened to more drake over the years, but i am a bigger fan of kanye musically if that makes sense
The reason that people like Kendrick and asap are just respected for not dropping in years is because you can feel the life in their music and there’s always consistently good drops from people like them, but with drake in the past few years his music is so lifeless atleast to me. He’s just shooting for hits at this point and cares more about quantity than quality
Yeahhhhh asap 😂
Lmao asap foh 😭😭
asap?😂
Bro is yapping😂
Drakes gotta take 3 years. Deluxe saved his album, doubt he wants another close call
I haven’t even listened to For All The Bloodhounds. Or All Dogs Go to Heaven w/e when Drake gives me a freestyle like Say What’s Real I’ll tune in
Ye is an artist. Drake is an actor
W
Drake chases waves he's not experimenting. Whoever is hot or whatever style is hot believe Drake will hop to it. That's how he has more number 1 than anybody
In my humble opinion kendric dropping albums 4-5 years apart and largely up until his last album having overwhelming positive reviews for each album, that to me is more Impressive then dropping every year to stay relevant, but when you say drakes not lost idk if I can agree, I’d say staying true to your sound despite what becomes popular is the opposite of being loss unlike drake
cant leave the court on a miss
Drake is the definition of making hit records whereas Kanye is more of an artist and a creative. You never expect the same sound from Kanye but you can’t say that for drake
I have to listen to his new release but for me I can’t really remember much from For All The Dogs…way too long and I got bored…but watching the video First Person Shooter…made me rethink go back and see what I missed…
I’m older and I don’t really rock with many of these artist..give me the old Kayne…but for Drake I do like and always look forward to what have had coming… I enjoy some of his earlier albums more than some of the later ones but I do my favorites…like I said I’ll check out his new release and see where I stand on it.
If a rapper falls off its a problem, if a rapper tryna stay on its a problem too
He wants to end on a high note.
Well I'm 23 and I'm saying Drizzy is definitely going to outlast Kanye 😂
I’m 21, Ye is the GOAT, I haven’t listened to Drake since 2020. The last time I listened to him was Certified Lover Boy and I haven’t been keen to listen to him ever since.
Ye definitely my favorite artist to reinvent himself
im 20 and i fw both kanye and drake but kanye is the goat
Ye is my top 1 forever! He’s to experimental and stands out from the rest!
I’m 17 I like Kanye more, I respect him more and he’s the goat

Drake should definitely disappear. Then pop back up on a feature of a hot sound like he did with blockboy JB. He literally says in the long “I’ve been gone since like July, niggas acting like I died.” That released in February. It might work again.
Scary Hours 3 is flames 🔥 Drake ain’t falling off no time soon
You gotta listen to Drakes old stuff. Take Care album. Songs like Dreams Money Can Buy, Club Paradise.
Drake is the hottest artist in the game STILL. Nocta x Nike
Yes and has been fir over 14 years
I'm 16 and Kanye is top 2 for me but Drake is top ten
Yassine saying 16 to 17 yrs still call ye the fave but not affording drake the same courtesy I think is dishonest reasoning and this isn't arguable drake is immensely more popular than ye and hip hop is for he youth so I would say drake possible has the ears of the youth way more than ye right now but that's just what I think
